04/04/2026: Today I had lunch at this little restaurant and I must say it was truly a wonderful discovery. The food was delicious, and you could clearly taste the quality of the ingredients used: everything was fresh, carefully prepared, and meticulously cared for.
An added bonus is definitely the owner, an extremely kind and welcoming person who conveys a true love for his work and for what he offers his customers. You can sense the passion behind every detail. His wife, on the other hand, is an excellent cook.
It's the kind of place where you immediately feel at ease and leave wanting to return. Highly recommended!
15/03/2026: A wonderful Sunday spent at this little restaurant in the village of Sessanio.
We ate divinely, delicious, locally sourced vegetarian food in a warm and welcoming atmosphere. All this was accompanied by the very kind Mr. Andrea, who expertly explained the origins and ingredients of each dish, expertly prepared by his wife, Barbara.
An experience to be repeated, definitely recommended for anyone looking for a different culinary experience!

18/04/2026: From the moment that we came through the door to the very last sip of lemoncello, this was an incredible meal and a beautiful and memorable dining experience! The owners are incredible hosts and the food is spectacular. The fact that they change their menu every day makes it a little bit unpredictable but sit down, order, and enjoy! You won’t regret it.
15/04/2026: A local bar owner recomeneded Il Punto Cardinale as his go to spot. We were not disappointed. So much so that we had to pay a second visit.
Lovley clean restaurant with comfortable space between tables.The lady runnig the front of house takes time to discuss the menu options. The result tasty well presentented food.
Good mix of locals and tourists which is a good sign.

18/04/2026: I went with my family to celebrate a birthday.
We had a great time; the products were delicious and fresh, and the Tuscan cuisine was excellent.
We also had a celiac with us, who had no problems at all. They even have homemade gluten-free desserts.
Good value for money.
I highly recommend it.
We'll be back soon.

This restaurant is a family business, and everything is done with dedication and attention to detail.

I’ve got no idea why they lost their stars because in my opinion, they totally deserve them.
Best spritz and carbonara I’ve ever had!
10/04/2026: It was absolutely amazing! The menus are beautifully curated, and I really appreciate the option to choose between à la carte and the set menu.
We’ll definitely be back. Thank you for a wonderful evening and a menu I’ll never forget - especially the best pasta I’ve ever had!

16/04/2026: There are places in Rome that are advertised as the best, but in reality they often turn out to be tourist traps.
This place was recommended to us by our B&B, and we went to see from the outside if it was actually what they promised.
We can say we really enjoyed it. The place is very original, tastefully decorated, with appropriately spaced tables, and above all, good Roman food.
The service is discreet but still friendly.
A truly Roman touch was the pianist who played various classical pieces throughout the dinner. Very good.
14/04/2026: Communication with the staff was poor; I asked for still water and they brought me sparkling water, and they kept the change when I paid for no reason. The food was very tasty, although expensive.

16/04/2026: After getting ripped off at a gelato shop in Amalfi, this place was a breath of fresh air. It's the best, most authentic gelato I've had during my 2-week Italy trip.
The pistachio is on another level, and my kids said the shakes were better than anywhere else. Unlike other tourist traps, the prices here are very reasonable. We loved it so much that we came back every day while staying in Sorrento

22/03/2026: Looking for schiacciatas for dinner before heading to the airport, we ended up at this place. Following the owners' recommendations, they made us one with raw sausage, caramelized onions, and cheese, and another with porchetta, with their homemade green sauce and hot sauce. We loved both and were delighted with the owners; they're incredibly kind, and it's so nice to find people like them.
19/03/2026: Only have the soup and too much onions and wasn't great cost €11 for a soup 🫣🙄the most expensive soup I ever order! 😬Is like a snack bar why they charge so much for a soup ! 😂

Dining with a view into the kitchen, regional food made with locally sourced ingredients. The owner is incredibly friendly and attentive, delighted by even a few words of Italian and a smile.
The wine in the 2-liter plastic bottle is produced just around the corner and served in the Sicilian style. Because it was so fantastic (I'm a wine drinker, but not a wine snob), we bought a bottle to take home; at €8, I was almost embarrassed 😉.
After two days, I have to add: We should have bought more. After two days exploring the island, we ran out of wine, and we didn't find anything better...
