As a vegetarian in this region, it's not easy for me to find delicious, meat-free dishes...at Trattoria Del Borgo, I had a truly excellent appetizer, first course, and dessert. Friendly and courteous service, a very cozy atmosphere, and excellent value. We were two families with four somewhat noisy children, but despite that, we had a really good time.

The food is very good, traditional, and the ingredients are seasonal and high-quality.
The price is reasonable, and the service is friendly and fast.

03/05/2026: A small, traditional trattoria just off Piazza Maggiore. My wife and I tried the meatballs with peas and the chicken cacciatore. The atmosphere is quaint, the dishes are well-prepared and plentiful, and the service is friendly.
The prices are fair.
Highly recommended!

30/04/2026: One of the best restaurants in Bologna, reservations are a must, or you need to queue up in advance, as it seems that only the four seats at the bar are available for walk-ins.
25/04/2026: It is Michelin recommended and we were expecting a lovely meal…it surpassed our expectations. The staff provided a comprehensive description of each dish and service was faultless. Each course was delicious, flavoursome and perfectly executed. Fabulous experience and would highly recommend…but make sure you book a table.

22/04/2026: We had a delicious meal at this restaurant with a somewhat authentic Italian atmosphere. It was located close to our hotel and we ate here on 3 of the 4 evenings. We ate delicious pizzas, pasta, and the most delicious tortelloni (large tortellini) filled with a cream filling and truffle. Finger-licking good. All this for a very reasonable price. The man at the cash register speaks with great pride about their homemade products; you can feel the passion for food.
The service is sometimes a bit curt, but perhaps that is typical of an Italian restaurant. I would really dare to recommend this restaurant to anyone; it is impossible not to enjoy your food here.
