09/08/2026: What a wonderful restaurant. First of all, they have a special package that you can purchase for special occasions. My husband surprised me for our anniversary by planning dinner. We had a special menu, excellent service and the food was wonderful.

07/08/2026: From the moment we arrived, everything about this restaurant exceeded our expectations. The atmosphere is elegant yet welcoming, making it the perfect place to enjoy an exceptional meal. A special thank you goes to Davide, whose service was simply outstanding. He took wonderful care of us throughout the evening, offering thoughtful recommendations and selecting two excellent wines that perfectly complemented our meal. Even more impressive, both wines were in a very reasonable price range and were absolutely superb. The cuisine was truly remarkable. Every dish was beautifully prepared, full of flavor, and clearly crafted with great attention to detail. The quality of the kitchen went far beyond what we had anticipated. I wholeheartedly recommend this restaurant—not only for its beautiful setting and warm ambience, but above all for its outstanding cuisine and impeccable service. Thanks to Davide and the entire team, we had a memorable dining experience. I would happily return and encourage anyone visiting the area to experience it for themselves.

17/06/2026: We popped in at lunchtime to book a table for the evening, but they didn't have any suitable availability, so we stayed for lunch instead. Absolutely wonderful experience. The service was warm and friendly, and the food was delicious. Grazie Mille!! 🙏

I was lucky enough to go there on a special occasion, and it confirmed both my positive reputation and my expectations. 30/07/2026: Typical Venetian trattoria cuisine managed entirely by local staff, a rarity nowadays, I've eaten there a couple of times and it's always been very good, wonderful staff and an exceptional chef

21/07/2026: A cozy restaurant tucked away on a narrow street, with a warm atmosphere that suits everything from a casual lunch to a relaxed dinner. Although it was busy, the staff remained attentive and welcoming throughout the meal. Overall, I felt the food showed care and technical skill but didn’t quite meet my expectations in terms of flavour composition. The fish steak for the secondi was exceptionally tender, and the rosemary roasted potatoes were simple yet beautifully aromatic. Unfortunately, the antipasti and primi were less convincing. The scallops were quite modest in size and largely buried beneath breadcrumbs, making the dish feel unbalanced. The smoked seafood pasta was more disappointing. The heavy smoked flavour overwhelmed the delicate sweetness of the scallops and prawns, leaving the seafood itself almost redundant. The dish may have been better suited to a meat-based sauce that could stand up to the intensity of the smoke. While the main course was excellent, the weaker opening courses made the overall experience feel somewhat uneven. That said, it was clear that every dish had been prepared with care. The fresh pasta, for example, was cooked beautifully with an excellent texture, and the quality of the ingredients was evident throughout. Although the flavour combinations didn’t always come together for me, I left with the impression that the kitchen has strong technical ability.

23/07/2026: Extraordinary! We've been here twice, both for dinner and for aperitivo, and it has never disappointed us! Excellent food (the fish is fantastic), friendly and attentive service, and excellent spritzes! Highly recommended.

10/08/2026: As a solo female traveler, this was honestly one of the worst restaurant experiences I’ve had. I understand that reservations may be required, but the way I was treated because I was alone was extremely disappointing. I asked for a table for one and was told they wouldn’t seat me outside because, according to the server, “two people usually spend €120.” They had no idea how much I was planning to order, yet I was basically turned away simply because I was one person. I even asked if I could make a reservation for later, and they still said no. I completely understand a restaurant wanting to manage tables, but making someone feel unwelcome because they’re dining alone is not good service. Save yourself the trouble and go to 📍Hostaria Osottoosopra instead. The service was SO much better—they even gave me their Wi-Fi without me asking, and the food was better too. Check their reviews! 18/05/2026: On a Sunday night without reservation this place seated us and tended to us with so much attention, detail and quick service. Our meal was extraordinary. Everything was excellent the taste was superb the ambient was joyful not overcrowded just simply happy and enjoyable. Loved this place as a first time comer in Venice this was a win win. Highly recommend.

18/06/2026: This was our second time eating here and this experience changed the whole feeling of the night toward the negative. We were all happy with our meal choices this time just as we were three years ago. The ambiance and vibe here is awesome and the place feels like a hidden gem of a location once you walk inside. What ruined our night was the bartender / server and his attempt at humor. When one of our party asked about some of the menu items he said they could ask one question (as a joke) then proceeded to make it harder than it should have been to help make choices between items. We weren't being difficult or asking anything unreasonable. He was demeaning to the four women at the table and kept looking at me, the lone man, for validation of his humor. We were all so put off by him that we didn't want to ask him for anything or even make eye contact when he came back around. We skipped deseet and left for gelato. This visit was a complete 180 from the last time and we won't come back.

12/08/2026: We arrived in Venice on our first day very late and were desperately looking for somewhere to eat. After trying multiple places with no luck, Osteria Ae Cravate was the one that opened its doors for us! They kindly checked with the kitchen and welcomed us in, even though it was late. They prepared absolutely delicious food, and the service from Rag was SPEECHLESS! He made us feel incredibly welcome and taken care of. The food, service, atmosphere, and location were all amazing. What could have been a stressful first night in Venice turned into such a memorable experience thanks to their kindness and hospitality. We felt truly welcome and appreciated. 100% recommend Osteria Ae Cravate, and we will definitely go again! ❤️🇮🇹

11/08/2026: For our daughter's master's degree luncheon, we were looking for a venue where each of our guests, with varying dietary needs or preferences, would be able to choose the right food. We also wanted it to be an unforgettable day for the birthday girl and for all the attendees. We couldn't have made a better choice. They offered us a rich and varied menu, all the excellent and authentic dishes were appreciated by the guests, and the service was excellent. The owner, a delightful person from the very first moment, looked after us with professionalism, cordiality, and kindness. Being very meticulous, we feared something might go wrong, given that the choice of venue was based primarily on intuition. But we must say, not only were our intuitions correct, but the service exceeded our expectations. Thank you for making one of those days in your life that you will remember forever so wonderful.

04/08/2026: This is definitely a hidden gem in Venice in the sea of sub par food! Their bread is delicious and so was the ravioli I had. However, be prepared to spend a good amount of money for small portions & cover charge added to the tip at the end.

03/08/2026: Everything was perfect. It's right next to Piazza San Marco, but because it's on a slightly hidden street, it's very quiet. The service was good, and the food was too.
