Compliments to the guy, Adal, who served us and advised us what to have. Very kind and above all you can see that he cares a lot and does this job with great passion and enthusiasm. 24/06/2025: Delicious and authentic Eritrean food! We had a meat sambusa , followed by injera with a mix of meat and veggie stews — flavorful and perfectly spiced. The staff were kind and welcoming. Great experience overall. Highly recommend!

18/06/2025: I went to dinner with colleagues in this wonderful restaurant. The quality of the dishes was excellent, the very friendly waitress gave us excellent advice since it was the first time I tried this type of cuisine and gave us the possibility to change the level of spiciness of each course. Leaving aside the fact that I have rarely eaten and had such a good time, I would give more stars if it were possible to the beauty and attention to the smallest detail of the place. We had the opportunity to meet the very kind owner who explained and illustrated all the details of the place, which can be defined as touchingly beautiful. Well-kept, clean, where you can breathe the air of passion and love for the place. One of the few restaurants managed by those who care for it and love it as if it were their own creation, a dream come true. Working for passion and not for profit is the key that makes this place wonderful.

13/06/2025: We had the sambussa, the classic zighini and the mixed vegetarian which we liked, the desserts are many and varied, but not all have the same level of originality. The pistachio one was very similar to (or was) a halva. We did not know the South African wine Savanha which we liked a lot and which has unique and spicy tones. The internal environment is interesting and well-kept and the people who work here are courteous and friendly. We did not have to wait long for food. I return to this restaurant with pleasure every time I come to Rome and for years they have been a guarantee, I will definitely continue to return. The only downside is that we had to ask for the receipt.

01/06/2025: We were excited to try this place with Senegalese-Sicilian fusion cuisine, and we were not disappointed! Generous portions, super tasty, quality. Friendly and professional staff. A beautiful atmosphere! We tried their typical mocktail called Bissap (sweet and refreshing), then we had dinner with the vegetable couscous (masterful) and the octopus iohos (succulent). We finished with two excellent desserts (cheesecake and blancmange); with water, the whole thing cost €68 for two. Reservations are highly recommended, we barely got in!

The absolute protagonist is the food, which is very tasty, with the right balance between side dishes, meat or vegetables (depending on the veg option or not) and sauce. What makes it all special is that YOU EAT WITH YOUR HANDS! Another positive note: the owner and the staff serve everyone with a smile, which made it a pleasant experience. I will definitely return several times😄 Value for money: excellent!

15/06/2025: Family dinner with appetizer, first course, second course and dessert. The menu is varied, with meat and fish options. For wine we asked for a glass to pair with each dish. In this way we tried wines that are not normally ordered. We will definitely be back!

29/05/2025: Typical African restaurant, we had the opportunity to try various traditional dishes. The owner was very helpful in explaining the menu but unfortunately he lacked clarity in the prices: proposing various combinations he never mentioned the price thus leaving the final “surprise” (100€ for 3 without considering the bitters that were offered to us) In my opinion it is worth trying, but taking into account that you will spend a little more than average. Overall I liked it. Edit following the owner's response: All the sympathy shown vanished in an instant when reading the word “fake”. Unfortunately I did not take a photo of the receipt but I remember perfectly it was 103€ (My friend had a 20€ discount obtained with TheFork Yums but that does not change the final bill: 103€) I will not change the number of stars, nor the idea of ​​the experience had because it would be childish, but I will correct what was said above: I will not return to this place, denying the evidence is something I cannot tolerate.

08/06/2025: Authentic African food right in the Vucceria district. The food is wonderfully seasoned. The skewers as an appetizer are especially recommended. Unfortunately, the chicken as a main course was too dry. Otherwise, a great place!

04/06/2025: Waked passed by chance. The food was amazing! Would highly recommend to anyone wanting something away from Italian/ Sicilian food. We had never had Senegalese food before, will defiantly be having it again. We asked what was recommended and got the Mafe. Get this don’t mess around. Great atmosphere and hospitality!

04/06/2025: The owner, very kind, prepared us a non-alcoholic cocktail with mango juice accompanied by a small vegan aperitif! All very good!

04/06/2025: My girlfriend and I are now regular customers so we know this place well: it is an Ethiopian restaurant with a fixed menu formula where you are given a taste of various hot dishes, served on a sort of typical flat and spongy bread (injera bread), ranging from spicy to slightly spicy but still very tasty; all preceded by a small welcome appetizer. At the end of the tasting, you can ask for a second helping of the dish (or dishes, if your stomach is that big) that you liked the most. The place is furnished in an ethnic style that makes you immediately feel in the right atmosphere, with references to the land of origin of the cuisine. A special appreciation then goes to the owner, the tireless cook of the place, who knows how to make you feel at home with her welcoming and genuine way of doing things. The price is reasonable, around €25 per person (desserts and drinks are not included in the fixed menu). Even though we know the menu by heart, we will never tire of returning, both for gluttony and because it has become a second home for us.

16/06/2025: I came with a friend to try something different and it was worth it. The food is good, with particular but balanced flavors. The staff is friendly and helps you understand the dishes, which I found very useful. Quiet environment, honest prices. Must try!
