The restaurant itself is beautiful with its old-world charm, the service was very friendly and attentive, and above all, genuine and not at all pretentious. I'll definitely be back! 👍😊

06/04/2026: We went to Il Pescatore yesterday for Easter, the second time. The menu was excellent, the same as last year. The private dining room was beautiful, overlooking the garden, and the ambiance was modern and colorful. The price on the menu for all guests was a bit tacky, and the service we received, which as regulars we expected to be different, was disappointing. We received a €20 discount on the €3,120 menu.
28/02/2026: A short story, rather than a review, would be more appropriate to fully convey the experience at this restaurant monument. Indeed, we are dealing with one of the few families—not individuals, but families—who have written the rules of this profession. All this allure leads you to approach us with such respect and curiosity, but also with truly high expectations. Let's clear up any doubts right away: the day was stratospheric. From every perspective. The dishes we savored will certainly be remembered forever, but how could we ever forget the precious time spent talking with Antonio Santini, who honored us with several minutes at the table? For those like me and my friend who love restaurants, it's a bit like a football fan juggling with Maradona. Priceless. The conversation about pumpkin tortelli was memorable, when my companion asked for a sweeter version. With great elegance, the owner explained that the customer shouldn't be a guinea pig in an experiment, but rather recounted the historical evolution of the dish in his family. Then came the masterstroke: from the kitchen came a historic tomato variation, served alongside a classic tortello. The dish was offered. Moving. The service was superb, among the best I've ever seen. The entire staff was commendable, and sommelier Alberto Santin was excellent, recommending a Barbaresco Martinenga 2020 from Marchesi di Grésy, versatile and perfect for the entire meal. I started with the Petit Gris Chiocciole della Pianura with a herb and sweet garlic sauce: elegance, balance, and an irresistible light gratin. Then came the traditional Pumpkin Tortelli with Butter and Parmigiano Reggiano, with amaretti biscuits and mustard. Here, the aim is not to tone down the contrasts, but to enhance them: sweet, savory, and spicy coexist in perfect harmony. Only for the best. For my second course, I chose grilled eel with radicchio from the garden: a dish that speaks to the family's history. The owner summed it up perfectly with one word: ESSENTIALITY. The noble fat of the fish was the star, balanced by the sweet and sour radicchio. Exciting. I finished with the saddle of venison with Cabernet and blueberries, incredibly tender, accompanied by excellent vegetables, especially baby carrots. The final small pastry was followed by a Marsala zabaglione, offered by the owner. We concluded with a 2020 Beerenauslese Cuvée from Kracher, made from botrytized grapes. Thus ended our wonderful experience at Santini's Dal Pescatore. A day that will remain etched in our memories.

02/05/2026: The taste of perfection The perfection of taste. Calling it a restaurant is an understatement, as this place immerses the senses in a new dimension. The chef personally welcomes you inside the ancient tower, where you're made comfortable and served an aperitif. Then, after a tour of the exquisite wine cellar, you move into the beautiful dining room. We opted for the 10-course tasting menu. The flavors were incredible, and each course maintained a level of excellence unlike any other Michelin-starred restaurant. The wait staff manages to combine the highest level of professionalism without ever being cloying, but rather friendly and welcoming. In short, a truly exceptional experience. Among the dishes, all beautiful and delicious, special mention must be made of the risotto, red mullet, and lamb.

26/04/2026: Enrico Crippa is the pinnacle of gastronomy! Three stars and the level couldn't be higher. Everything was superb, from the first moment to the last. I was especially impressed by the chef's work with vegetables—it was simply wow! Ordinary ingredients become masterpieces: vibrant, fresh, with a depth of flavor that's hard to describe. 15/06/2026: The location is simply stunning, in the heart of beautiful Trani. The veranda overlooking the castle is a gem worth the visit alone. Saverio, one of the hosts, was exceptional: he welcomed us with warmth and professionalism, and at the end of the meal, he kindly offered to take us on a tour of the restaurant. We had the pleasure of discovering the upper floor and the terrace, which I already imagine would be extraordinary on a summer evening and which will be the perfect setting for the second tasting menu, which we can't wait to try. Chef Stefano Di Gennaro's cuisine is a true celebration of Puglia and Trani traditions: local ingredients treated with respect, technique, and identity. It was a privilege to meet him in person and congratulate him directly. We will definitely be back.
04/06/2026: What started very strong ended up being a mediocre dinner. Not sure that Michelin got this one right… sea urchin pasta tasted overly fishy- my sea bass was burnt and overcooked and served with greens which tasted frozen. The deserts had an overly fragrance taste.

04/05/2026: We have had a lot of great meals on this trip, but none surpassed our dinner here. The gorgeous patio was a quiet and sophisticated backdrop for exceptional boar ragu, pork ribs that (literally) stunned us, and fabulous dessert. The local vernaccia wine was a great compliment and they gave us an adorable little parting gift for tomorrow. I wish I could come back again and again. On our next trip to Tuscany it will be the first reservation we make.

The chef flawlessly combined tradition and innovation. The room was comfortable and elegant, ensuring a restful sleep in a relaxing atmosphere. Breakfast in the morning perfectly complemented the stay, offering a wide selection of sweet and savory delicacies, all fresh and delicious. The staff was attentive and friendly, helping make the stay even more enjoyable. In conclusion, La Bandiera offers a top-notch gastronomic and hospitality experience, perfectly representing the best that Abruzzo has to offer. 07/06/2026: Even as a wine professional, I very rarely open a restaurant review by discussing the wine program — but this place delivered flawless wine service from start to finish. Starting with my pet peeve: no one said “wonderful selection, sir,” as if a sommelier would ever say “lousy selection, sir.” The sommelier was excellent at reading our visual cues, attentive without being intrusive. We had a great table, cantilevered over the water a perfect spot for lunch while watching all the activity on the water. The food was fantastic: well-timed, beautifully executed, and incredibly flavorful. Looking forward to coming back next year.

Cleliana and the entire staff looked after us impeccably, finding the perfect solution for me, allowing me to celebrate in this wonderful place. I'll be back for dinner to try the menus, but for location and service, we're in the top five in the region.

25/04/2026: Magnificent! The food was marvellous. We ordered octopus and fritto misto as appetizers and raviolli as a main and all dishes were just perfect. The bisque sause around raviolli was great with bread they give you. Service was also above any expectations. Great gastronomical experience!
