14/06/2026: We were there for lunch yesterday. The food (fresh salads and pasta alla Norma) was excellent. The service was also superb – the staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming. The ambiance under the trees with a sea view is fantastic!

07/06/2026: We’ve dined here many times over recent years, and of course we keep returning. The menu just keeps getting better, an amazing offering of simplicity and sophistication. The wine choices are perfect, and good value. The staff, top class. The meals as good as you could ever have in any top rated establishment.

03/06/2026: Delicious and fresh, but the ordering system needs improvement ⭐⭐⭐⭐ We visited the Passion restaurant in Como and the food is truly fantastic! Everything is super fresh – they cut the cold cuts on site and pack them into crispy rolls or sandwiches right before your eyes, and the portion of mortadella and greens is impressive! The flavor is absolutely amazing. The only downside, which is why I'm taking one star off, is the ordering process. There's only one computer (kiosk) inside, where you place your entire order and then pay at the cash register. People spend a long time considering their ingredient choices, resulting in unnecessary lines. Nevertheless, it's worth being patient for such delicious food!

03/06/2026: The Focaccia was delicious. If you want a quick bite on the boat this is the place to be now you’ll have to wait in line, but I’d say it’s worth it.

22/07/2026: Like the best trattorias, Trattoria del Moro Aronne is found off the beaten path, away from the establishments catering to tourists exclusively. It is worth the short walk up a side street; trust me on this. The trattoria specializes in Tuscan fare - recipes with wild boar, pigeon, and rabbit (though unfortunately rabbit was not available the day we stopped). My wife had Ombrichelli Porcini e Salsiccia - a hearty fresh pasta specific to Tuscany with mushrooms and sausage. I had the Tagliatelle con Cinghiale Ragu - tagliatelle with wild boar ragu. Both dishes exemplified the Italian culinary ethos of letting the ingredients shine - each a distinct entity that melds harmoniously into a symphony of flavor to create a whole that truly is more than the sum of its parts. So, for example, my wife’s mushroom dish was not distinctly mushroom flavored, but the mushrooms added their bit to the overall dish, which would have been lesser without them. The service was warm and attentive without being intrusive. Our waiter - who may well have been one of the owners given the level of service provided - was friendly and accommodating in my desire to practice some of my Italian. Trattoria del Moro Aronne carries on the tradition of the small, Italian gathering place where the breaking of bread around a convivial table is the focus. Grazie Mille!

We visited as a party of five in May 2026 and ordered a variety of dishes, focusing on the truffle and wild boar specialties. It was an extremely satisfying meal and easily one of the best restaurants we experienced during our trip to Italy. The truffle pasta was truly a masterpiece—not just the sauce, but the fresh handmade pasta itself was incredible. The food is delicious, the hosts are wonderful and welcoming, garden is heaven for a beautiful sunset and has lots of activities for the kids (from swings to ping pong table to basketball hoop to futsal table…). It’s a home like atmosphere in a great setting and very good value for money. I highly recommend this place! ❤️ we had meats, we had pasta, we had appetizers and desserts, it was a great discovery and we’re sad to fly away tomorrow!

25/04/2026: A fantastic experience amidst the winding roads of Abruzzo. After a motorcycle ride through Guardiagrele, Casoli, the Verde River springs in Fara San Martino, Palena, Campo di Giove, and Pacentro, we crossed the San Leonardo Pass and stopped for lunch at Locanda del Barone in San Vittorino (descending just before Caramanico). ​The restaurant is wonderful, with a beautifully landscaped outdoor garden, perfect for relaxing. Lunch was top-notch: on the owner's recommendation, we opted for three starters, all perfect. We then continued with superb handmade arrosticini and exceptional roast lamb. The dessert, a lemon tart, was also excellent. ​The value for money is amazing, with the bill being decidedly modest considering the high quality of the dishes. We wanted to show our biker friends from Bari the best of Abruzzo, and thanks to this lunch, we achieved perfection. Highly recommended, we'll definitely be back! Booking in advance is recommended.

06/05/2026: A wonderful experience in a refined setting. My wife and I had lunch there a few days ago. The food was very good and carefully prepared. The kindness and friendliness were abundant and natural, a rarity. If we return to Monreale, we'll definitely visit you again.

02/05/2026: We went to Taverna del Pavone and had a truly wonderful time. The atmosphere was pleasant, and the food was satisfying from start to finish. We tried a seafood pasta dish and a pasta alla Norma, both excellent: flavorful, well-prepared, and made with quality ingredients. The appetizers were also very good, as were the desserts. In particular, the cassata was very fresh, delicate, and truly delightful; the chocolate dessert was also delicious. Overall, it was a lovely experience, with carefully prepared dishes and excellent service. Our only small suggestion is to slightly expand the gin selection on the menu and, perhaps, serve the tonic water separately, so each customer can adjust it to their own taste. Otherwise, absolutely recommended!
