04/07/2024: Today we sat in the middle of the hustle and bustle of a full (we just got the last table) and beautiful restaurant. The food was fantastic. The service is almost even better. We felt very welcome and enjoyed every minute. Everyone here loves what they do and you can feel, taste and experience it. Absolutely clear recommendation! A real gem.

18/08/2024: Highly recommended. This gelateria can be found just outside the tourist center. Delicious ice cream (especially try the cocomero (watermelon), limone and mojito) in combination with an enthusiastic and friendly owner. It's more than worth the walk.

17/08/2024: Excellent ice cream parlor. 100% natural products, full fruit sorbets and organic milk ice creams. Glaciers who are passionate about their job and they do it very well. The best of all those I have tasted in Italy so far

26/06/2024: Dopo 2 giorni in Ravenna, con difficoltà a trovare ristoranti di qualità, arriviamo in questa Rosticceria a gestione pugliese... fantastica! Pioveva a dirotto e non abbiamo potuto stare fuori, ma il titolare ci ha subito trovato un tavolo all'interno, peraltro vicino ad una coppia molto simpatica. Abbiamo ordinato un a zuppetta di mare, spiedini misto e fritto dell'adriatico, più antipasto di mare: tutto molto buono e condito dalla simpatia del proprietario Consiglio vivamente, anche in auto, parcheggio davanti!

10/04/2024: I definitely expected more judging by the reviews. We took the obligatory fixed menu, taking advantage of the thefork discount. Beyond the very good wine, I found no justification in the quality/price ratio. The food is good, but the price is too high. We spent €75 with the thefork €50 discount, with a €19 bottle of Barbera and a 1 l bottle of microfiltered water (€3). Without the discount we would therefore have spent €125. Few raw materials, elaborated with a taste that we have not always liked, but a matter of preference. The pork seemed to us to be a very cooked and therefore very tender shank, which, divided into glass containers, should have been enough for all the customers of the evening (8 with us). The Canavese robiolina sushi with various combinations of vegetables and spherical fruit was attractive but nothing special, as were the rest of the dishes. The smoked beetroot purée is interesting. Crispy gyoza would have been fine even less crunchy. There were two types, both paired with roast sauce. In my opinion it would have been better to think of a different combination for each type of filling. I personally didn't like the desserts: too sugary. Attentive and courteous service, cozy location, well furnished and romantic. I wouldn't have expected the toilet encrusted with brown on the inside edge and the crooked seat cover.

22/08/2024: Situated in the Monti Simbruini , in San Vito Romano , Ristorante La Tombola is a hidden treasure just outside of Rome run by a local family offering the best local produce in enchanting settings inside and out. Happily accommodating on our visit a family of 15 with 7 children under the age of 5! Knowledgeable obliging staff and their mutli lingual QR menu guide you through an exceptional regional menu in an area where English is barely spoken making a warm welcome to an unjustly neglected area of Lazio.

18/08/2024: Pranzato oggi per il mio compleanno, prenotazione tramite the fork. Il proprietario molto simpatico e alla mano. E che dire i piatti buonissimi..prodotti freschi. Una bella scoperta in una bella Giornata. Prezzi nella norma.. un piccolo risparmio tramite l app. Ci hanno regalato anche del pane prodotto da loro che mia figlia ha apprezzato molto 😂 Consigliato!!!

11/08/2024: Fantastic dinner - well worth the short walk from the centre. The menu has plenty of options with regional specialties including four types of cappellacci di zucca, the Ferrara pasta hats stuffed with pumpkin. We had them with duck ragu and slices of fresh truffle - it was to die for. We also enjoyed tagliatelle with porcini mushrooms, an aubergine, tomato and basil starter and a tagliata of beef with rocket and grana that was fantastic. We finished off with a very nice pistachio semifreddo and washed the lot down with their very drinkable house wine which is served by the glass or in carafes. Service was good especially the warm welcome from the chef who took time to explain the dishes to us. We really enjoyed the meal and will definitely be back next time we are in Ferrara.

02/08/2024: My family and I stayed in a villa just 100 meters down the road from La Taverna for 7 nights. We ate at La Taverna Del Leone 4 times during our trip, as we liked it that much. We found it to be the best out of all meals we had in Italy and we dined in Naples, Positano, Capri, and Ravello. The service is unmatched and the food and wine are stellar.

26/07/2024: The extreme quality of their pizzas is surprising. The best we have had after 8 days in Italy and passing through Rome and Naples (no less). Baked with whole wheat flour, in a wood-fired oven and with a buffalo mozzarella base. Awesome. Incredible winery and attentive service Worth
