03/12/2025: On our last night in Milan, my wife and I chanced upon this restaurant for a late dinner. Even though we were the last customer of the night, we were still given impeccable service and absolutely delicious food. All the seafood were fresh and cooked perfectly, and they were reasonably priced. If you're looking for a restaurant that serves great Italian seafood, friendly service with a reasonable price, then look no further. Highly recommended.

07/11/2025: What a wonderful experience it was! Tommy and his wonderful wife (who is also the magnificent chef) are perfect hosts. The dishes are locally sourced yet unconventional, the wine list is excellent, and the service is attentive and captivating, complemented by pleasant snatches of conversation. You leave the table feeling full, satisfied, and pampered... and a special mention goes to the end of the meal, with its excellent selection of desserts and their accompaniments.

27/11/2025: I've been a regular customer for years and can only say MORE THAN EXCELLENT! A welcoming, clean, and tidy place with convenient outdoor parking. The staff is friendly, kind, and welcoming, making you feel right at home. The pizza is delicious, always generously topped with top-quality ingredients and the dough is incredibly easy to digest. And if you want a truly unique dessert, come and try the SALTED CARAMEL ENCHANTING!!! Irresistible!!! Compliments in every way, including the home delivery. They always arrive on time or early, but never late!! Debby and Maria are a guarantee!!! I highly recommend everyone to stop by and enjoy a wonderful evening with friends and an excellent pizza!! Top top top!!

10/11/2025: A casual restaurant where the food is good. Seafood dishes: both raw and cooked. Extensive and well-stocked wine list. Attentive and friendly service. Simple and functional location. Average/high quality-price ratio. Inside, the volume of customer conversations at various tables can sometimes be a bit loud, causing a bit of a nuisance: to speak to your fellow diners, you have to raise your voice a bit. Well, maybe I wouldn't choose this restaurant for a romantic candlelit dinner... Everything else is fine. The fifth star is missing because the fried fish wasn't up to par: too sparse, both in quantity and type of fish... Recommended. Thank you 🙏

19/10/2025: Excellent restaurant with traditional dishes. Wonderfully friendly staff. Very good food and generous portions. The house red wine is also good. And it's reasonably priced, too. Highly recommended. Reservations are recommended.

21/09/2025: A fairytale setting that couldn't have better captured the atmosphere of our wedding. Our guests were impressed by the villa, the abundant and delicious dishes, and the helpfulness of the staff. We, the newlyweds, also felt pampered every moment of the day, and even a couple of small inconveniences were resolved admirably, leaving us completely satisfied with our experience. Highly recommended!

19/11/2025: Honestly, I found everything very good; the bread and meat were delicious, and they offer unique seasonal pairings. You can choose the menu option with a drink, sandwich, and chips, paying a few euros more if you want beer. The service was fast and friendly, and the ambiance inside was very beautiful and slightly vintage.

Isola verde pizza reminded us of one we had in Lucca once...no tomato sauce, just butter, rocket, delicious cheese and ham. And never before have I struggled to find the right words: what I experienced at Verde Sosta goes beyond what a simple review can contain. Immersed in a breathtaking landscape, with a view that encompasses the hills—and Monte Rosa, which, in the background, is always a thrill—Verde Sosta is one of those places that makes you feel at home from the first moment. Thanks to Pino, his staff, and his family: their welcome was among the warmest and most sincere I've ever received upon entering a restaurant, something that almost amazed us at how rare it was. And I'd like to talk about Pino before describing our lunch. Coming across someone so passionate, so in love with his work, and so deeply connected to the local area is almost impossible these days. His kindness, the sweetness with which he shared anecdotes and curiosities about the dishes, and the pride he took in sharing the history of his restaurant were contagious and made our experience and our journey through the Verde Sosta kitchen even more memorable. And now let's talk about the food. We started with a welcome aperitif featuring a potato and sausage meatball and a glass of excellent wine. The menu, rich in local specialties, promised well and, without a doubt, delivered on every promise. For appetizers, we shared top-quality cured meats from the hills accompanied by schitta fritta, a delicious Oltrepò specialty similar to a savory fritter, extremely rare to find in local restaurants. The first course was the most memorable moment: the homemade braised beef ravioli were the best I've ever tasted. The filling wasn't the classic pressed braised meat, but a succulent and flavorful shredded meat that, with every bite, poured into your mouth, releasing its sensational flavor. It's definitely worth trying. The potato and sausage ravioli were also excellent, a house classic that's been on the menu since opening. For the main course, we shared a huge plate of mixed boiled meats, accompanied by salsa verde and homemade mustards. All the meat was tender and of excellent quality, but the cotechino was a real revelation: in Oltrepò, cotechino is almost always a guarantee, but this one at Verde Sosta is truly on another level. The desserts, homemade of course, concluded our gastronomic journey in a way that can only be described as excellent. My bitter orange panna cotta was a perfect balance of sweet and bitter, a new and surprising combination, never tried before. The pears in Bonarda with Marsala sauce, on the other hand, were simply the undisputed star of the dessert, a classic dish you wish would never end. All this was accompanied by a high-quality Buttafuoco, carefully recommended by Pino and his waiter. I encourage anyone passing through Oltrepò Pavese to stop by Verde Sosta: it's one of those rare Italian restaurants where every detail—from the food to the atmosphere, from the service to the warmth—makes you feel lucky to live in a country that has made food one of its greatest treasures.
