12/09/2025: One of the most impressive valleys around Brixen is the Villnöss Valley. At the end of the valley lies the gateway to the magnificent mountain world of the Dolomites. From the Zanseralm (paid parking: €10/day), the ascent to the Gampenalm (2,062 m) begins. The trail climbs steadily and steeply, past the Kasseril Alm and offers impressive views. The Gampenalm is located directly on the mountains, with indoor and outdoor seating. The food is very good, and the view is fantastic. If you're used to hiking 🥾, you can manage the ascent in about 1.5 hours. It's worth it 👍

10/09/2025: 🇬🇧 Stayed here instead of Rif. Genova and couldn't have been happier with the choice! Excellent service throughout, delicious food and we got into the last free double room so we're very lucky with that. Comfy bed and fantastic view. Only small disappointments were the one shower for all guests (which ment queues and bit of stress between guests) and the dinner for me (vegan) was mainly just salad and vegetables! Delicious but not very filling for someone who is going to be hiking a half marathon distance the next day across the mountains! Good filling vegan options to consider might be polenta, beans, pasta with mushrooms, or even egg free gnocchi! Hopefully next time there will be better options, we absolutely loved it here and would love to stay again. // 🇬🇧 We stayed here instead of Rif. 25/08/2025: Excellent. The very kind welcome. We set the table on a veranda high up, but with a lake view. With points of Romance and also We tried lamb tortelli with Kefir. Spectacular. And excellent beetroot gnocchi. The dishes were just the right amount. Next to us, they were tasting the Fiorentina steak. It was beautiful and attractive. They bring you three types of bread. A vast selection of wines and even champagne. A great credit to the whole. The price was more than fair; in fact, we expected more. Excellent. Also The Coffee accompanied by a mousse. I'd love to go back for dinner for the Show. Panoramic view.

05/09/2025: I spent a truly enjoyable evening here with good house wine and pasta. The paccheri allo scoglio is truly fantastic, and the portion so enormous that we regretfully skipped the appetizers and opted for only the main course to satisfy it. The seafood was cooked perfectly, fresh, and of high quality. The sauce was aromatic and deeply flavorful. Delicious, lightly grilled bread was served to mop up the sauce. The service was excellent; the gentleman serving us was cordial and professional. We were given tongs for the lobster to break up the shell if necessary, and there was an adequate amount of wet wipes. Given the service, the coperto was adequate and fair.

10/08/2025: An older restaurant with a lovely outdoor garden. Its strong point is definitely the hospitality and courtesy of all the staff. The food is good. For the type of restaurant and the area, the prices are quite high, and there aren't many budget options. For example, among the meat options, I'd imagine a mixed grill or a sliced steak, but they only serve meat by weight. Maintaining the current level and slightly lowering the prices or offering more affordable options could be a success.

31/07/2025: Truly a top-notch place! I dined here with my family and we were all truly satisfied. The homemade fried mix was excellent, but the quadrotto was special: despite being fried, it remained nice and creamy inside. The maritozzo with pulled pork is worth it. The pizzas are both classic and more special; I had the Fiori di Crudo, which was delicious. The desserts were exquisite: cheesecake, brownie, and tiramisu were all approved. After the food, let's move on to the service! Everyone was truly kind; they made us feel at home, both with us and with the other tables, and they were very friendly and gave us good advice. A nice touch was when they lit the citronella candles table by table (we were outside).
