Covo Pasta Fresca In Firenze

I had dinner at the Covo and I was fascinated by the place where it has a beautiful and very clean kitchen where you can see the delicious dishes being prepared. Spacious tables and a cheerful, warm environment. I tasted several dishes, all delicious and truly refined in their simplicity. Original. Good, simple but high level. I will also go there for lunch. Highly recommended!

La chiave del luogo è la pasta fresca, all'uovo, ma non sono da sottovalutare gli altri piatti, oltre ai condimenti, talvolta estrosi, della pasta. Notevole livello generale, luogo informale e accogliente, staff molto competente e attento a cosa può mancare sulla tavola. Vini all'altezza di origine locale in quartini e mezzi litri, finalmente senza carte dei vini impossibili o meglio, inaccessibili, come è ormai di moda a Firenze. A occhio direi pochi turisti o nulla Notevoli le tagliatelle, i tortelli mugellani di patate in una ricetta da scoprire, il ragù, un originalissimo carpaccio di lesso con salsa verde e varie altre rivisitazioni della tradizione.

The best fresh pasta I've ever eaten. The ratio between sauces (all respectable) and the quantity of pasta (and, possibly, filling) is perfect. It immediately became the best place to have lunch in the Gavinana neighborhood.

Da tanto volevo provare questo locale a cena e la mia aspettativa non è stata disattesa. Locale semplice con prezzi abbastanza economici soprattutto calcolando che si mangia pasta fresca veramente a chilometro zero. Pici e gnudi buonissimi, ho apprezzato anche la parmigiana e i dolci tutto fatto da loro. Un piccolo inconveniente mi ha fatto ancora di più apprezzare la gestione e la gentilezza del personale. La cucina è semplice e il caffè viene portato con la moka, cosa che io trovo deliziosa ma per chi non ama queste scelte meglio lasciar perdere. Noi sicuramente torneremo, abbiamo ancora molti piatti da sperimentare.

The menu, hanging on the main wall, offers both traditional and more elaborate dishes with prices ranging from €10 to €15: the pasta is obviously tasty as are the well-balanced condiments. The welcome squash is also very good, as are the desserts and the coffee, a little slow to arrive because it is made in mocha, a pleasant homemade touch. The staff is extremely friendly, the environment is nice and the kitchen is open to view. A nice place to have a lunch at honest prices (for dinner it is only open on some days and never on Sundays) with truly quality products. Oh I forgot, they don't accept reservations!

Good fresh pasta with locally made unusual sauces. Reasonable prices. Worth stopping by, if you're in the area. You have y To look for the place, as it is not on a main road, but only 2' walk from one.
