A wonderful and characteristic place right in the center of Sorrento, where you can savor traditional dishes (superlative gnocchi) and the charming atmosphere of the peninsula, further enhanced by a jovial guitarist playing among the tables. Not to mention the service and the waiters, all super kind, smiling, and helpful. My stroller, which we had folded in a corner, slipped on the floor, and the waiter noticed it and took care to put it away next to a chair. A pleasant experience and good food.

19/08/2025: La Lanterna is a gem amongst the lovely little back streets of Sorrento. We ate here two out of four nights and wished we found it earlier in the holiday. The pizzas, pasta carbonara and seafood platter were delicious. The service was excellent, all staff were so friendly and the live entertainment was superb!

05/09/2025: Beautiful place that offers an extraordinary culinary experience. Luigi is a fantastic person. They teach you from A to Z how to make pizza and ravioli. The whole thing ends with you eating what you've created. I highly recommend this experience. If you haven't tried it here, where else can you try it?

10/08/2025: We came across this place while looking for ribs during our honeymoon in Italy. We stumbled upon it by chance, and it turned out to be a popular spot with a lot of locals making reservations. Every dish was perfect, and the staff were friendly. If I ever return to Rome, I'll definitely be back! Highly recommended.

16/06/2025: Mister Yogi (Carmelo) is such a nice genuine guy. Crepes and Gelato (and other desserts) with a huge smile. Absolutely a must stop when visiting Cefalu!!

09/06/2025: I know in the land of gelato it seems ridiculous to rave about frozen yoghurt but that’s exactly what I’m about to do! Mister Yoggi has the best frozen yoghurt I’ve ever had! It’s extremely well priced- 4 euros for a grande. The service is exceptional! Although we’ve only had the frozen yoghurt (which we ordered an obscene amount of times during our stay in Cefalu) they also have bubble waffles, crepes, pancakes, granita and gelato. All of which look delicious. When ordering the yoghurt you can choose between 3 sizes and then choose 2 sauces (one for the bottom of the cup and one for on top of the yoghurt) as well as a topping. The pistachio sauce is to die for and an absolutely must try!

29/08/2025: Yesterday I tried a Chinese restaurant in the San Lorenzo area, and I have to say it was a truly positive experience. The waiters (a young man and a young woman) were incredibly kind from the start: upon arrival, they immediately offered us the Wi-Fi password, since the reception inside wasn't very good, and throughout the evening, they were always available and smiling. The menu is online and easy to browse. We chose four dishes, all delicious, beautifully presented, and served quickly. We finished the first two dishes without any problems, but the mala pollo, being very filling and quite spicy, wasn't enough for us; the waiter immediately offered to pack it up for us to take away. Before leaving, we stopped to chat with the owners. In conclusion: excellent food, fair prices, friendly and fast service. Highly recommended for anyone who wants to eat good Chinese food in the center of Florence without spending a fortune!

08/07/2025: It's very fitting finale to 4 weeks of a food n walking holiday from Athens to Bologna that I finish on a high with one of the best lunches in 5 countries. The octopus n mixed grilled veges, all chilled, is indescribably enjoyable with a chilled glass of the local white that was offered. The nicest thing is that I stumbled upon this gem of a restaurant walking back to my home stay undecided about lunch n quite prepared to forego it altogether. I love that you pay for as much or as little as u pick. WUPIWUP? a win win for both customers as well as the House.
