21/08/2025: I'm well enough in the business to know where NOT to go to avoid tourist traps, but since I'm not from Rome, I don't really know where the real gems are. A few years ago, a colleague told me: "Go to Girasole in Garbatella, trust me." So I dove in a bit blindly. And thank goodness: it was a revelation. For about fifteen euros, they served me a full menu: appetizer, first course, second course, side dish, wine, and coffee. And I'm not talking about small portions: the carbonara dish was the size of a weapon of mass destruction, the thinly sliced ​​potatoes tasted like crispy chips, and the meat, I don't remember exactly, was good and home-made. In the end, I left feeling shaky, I don't know if it was because of the included wine or the food. What I do know is that Il Girasole gave me the best value I can remember. Genuine staff, a warm welcome: more than a restaurant, it felt like dining at home. Since that day, every time I pass through Rome, Girasole is a fixed stop.

08/06/2025: What can I say, finding a restaurant like this in the heart of the industrial area of ​​Follonica was a real surprise, the very polite welcome from the staff and the warm and welcoming interior of the place with an open brazier, make you forget the outside right away. The fried tagliatelle with balsamic vinegar and the three types of bread made by them and offered were a welcome thing, the appetizer consisting of quality cold cuts and cheeses was truly excellent. The first course, the tagliatelle made by them (a little thick to tell the truth they were thicker than pappardelle) with cherry tomatoes and Chianti butter were something really good. The Chianti sushi on the spit instead was a real joy for the palate with the meat worked and cooked really well. All completed with water and house wine which was not bad at all. Dulcis in fundo all the meat processing done in sight in front of the brazier. Compliments. Highly recommended.

09/08/2025: During our trip to Veneto, we ate twice at this lovely family restaurant and enjoyed it very much. The small menu really shows the quality of the food they serve. On our second visit, we even came back just for the “cocollis,” which we’d definitely recommend. The owners run the place with a lot of passion and care, and their daughter works in the service. It feels very authentic and welcoming, a real gem in Conegliano.

15/03/2025: We moved to Cattolica just under a year ago. Yesterday, a friend of ours told us about this piadineria, and we decided to try it immediately today for lunch. The first thing I want to underline is the availability and kindness! I am allergic to nickel and I asked for the ingredients of the piadina dough, as I cannot eat many ingredients. Their dough is the classic one, with lard etc. However, I want to underline to those who, like me, have SNAS, that here you can choose to get the piadina with white flour, without yeast, water and olive oil. We with this allergy struggle to find places where we can eat normally, and here, it is suitable.. Thank you! We booked and took away, they were piping hot! When we arrived home we found some very, very large piadinas, but above all EXCELLENT! Ours were raw and stracchino and sausage and pecorino. Fabulous! We will definitely be back! From today we will no longer abandon you and we will recommend you to everyone!! This place is a little hidden gem! I can't eat normal sauce, with my allergy, but the smell that could be smelled from your kitchen, of good sauce, home-made sauce, was enough to faint... Very good!! Compliments!

The staff are friendly and the food is better than expected :) I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a steak, needing friendliness, and tired of foreign languages!!!

02/09/2025: Koreans, do you know the server? It seems like a lot of people go there after reading reviews, but don't go. If you really want to go, call and ask if that server is still there. As soon as we got there, we were sent to a corner, not a nice space, whether intentionally or not. After that, two more groups of Asians came in. The server, who was a decent size and had blond hair, was extremely rude. She'd tap anything she put down on the table, and when she was clearing something away, she'd move it without saying a word. When I asked for a second chair because there was no place to put my bag, she clicked her tongue right in front of me. She also didn't even state my order or my requests, but she repeatedly walked away mid-sentence. I don't know if this is just how it is, but I ordered a steak, but I didn't ask how I wanted it, and it came out almost blue-rare, just cooked on the outside and undercooked on the inside. I got angry and asked another server if they don't usually ask for it, and the blond server suddenly started slurring in Italian and aggressively told me to just ask if I wanted it cooked higher. After that, my expression turned sour, so he suddenly became friendly and offered me a free Coke while keeping an eye on me. When I was paying, the tip screen popped up on the POS, and I quickly pressed 0, which was hilarious. ㅋㅋㅋㅋ. I'm usually the type to let things slide, but this place really ruined my mood after paying a lot of money. There were quite a few reviews complaining about racism, but I regret not seeing that and leaving. I hope others don't regret it. I hope restaurants as a whole reflect on their behavior. 03/07/2025: We have been to the restaurant three times and each time we left satisfied. A large selection of wines, so everyone will certainly find something for themselves. The food is delicious. We ate octopus with apple, a perfectly composed combination of flavors. Pasta Scoglio is a large portion of seafood, perfectly prepared in a delicious sauce. The food and the atmosphere that the people there create is amazing. I recommend that you definitely visit this place when you are in Santa Teresa. It is worth making a reservation in advance.

23/08/2025: Excellent restaurant on the Certaldo lake. Owner Antonio guides you through his menu, illustrating and explaining the various dishes. Some off-menu options are also available at the chef's discretion. The tasting menu was excellent; we tried both the first and second courses at both dinners. The atmosphere is relaxing and peaceful, overlooking the Certaldo lake, cool in the evenings, even on the hottest days. Friendly and professional staff. Extensive wine list and a good selection of desserts.

22/08/2025: We had dinner at this restaurant in early August. The location is truly enchanting, immersed in the Tuscan countryside just minutes from Certaldo. We were offered a taste of rosé as a welcome gift and were told about the ingredients used in the kitchen, all local. The dishes were excellent, both the appetizers and the first courses. Having booked with The Fork, we also received a discount. Highly recommended, and I'd go back!

The quality-price ratio was excellent, especially at lunch. They didn't seem particularly well-organized, but perhaps that was a coincidence, and it certainly won't discourage us from returning.

13/08/2025: I'll start this review by saying that we went there for dinner one evening and immediately made a reservation for the following evening. We gave ample space to the meat, and it was an excellent choice because it's truly high quality. For both dinners, we ordered sliced veal, picanha, slow-cooked cinta, hand-chopped tartare, sliced veal, and sashi (about 1 kg). Not a single dish disappointed us! Everything was truly delicious! Furthermore, the service was attentive and friendly, and they gave us expert and professional advice. Every time we're in the area, it will definitely be a regular stop. I highly recommend trying it!

11/08/2025: Arriving on a rainy day, waiting to move into our vacation apartment, we stopped here for lunch. We were greeted courteously in a truly welcoming atmosphere, placed our order, and the food was excellent, including the desserts (a sublime coffee cream). We returned for the pizza, which I'd say was excellent as well. The price was average for the area. Worth it.
