Monte Frumentario In Assisi

We booked for lunch, and the welcome was excellent upon arrival. Both the fried foods and sandwiches are highly recommended. They even modified the sandwich for my lactose intolerance.

A welcoming place with truly amazing food! The staff, Giovanni and Filippo, make you feel at home! Always available and smiling. We'll definitely be back when we return to Assisi!

At Montefrumentario, on Via San Francesco in Assisi, enjoy a culinary experience. Even a sandwich is a joy for the taste buds. The pleasure of giving pleasure comes from Veronica and Giovanni, Sicilian owners who create sublime sandwiches. Filippo, a joyful and bon vivant, makes, among other things, excellent cappuccinos.

Totally delicious. Very good service. Cosy and peaceful ambiance. Outside it was very windy and heavy rain. Felt like entering home. Beautiful smiles all around and pleasant disposition. Kudos ❤️. Will visit again 💖.

On the main street, a very nice place inside, with characteristic exposed stone. The restrooms are very clean, with disinfectants on hand. A handful of tables outside. And now for the food, we ordered half a pizza and a Sicilian-style bread.... wow, it was amazing, delicious, incredibly crunchy, about 350-400 grams of bread, really good, fresh ingredients. The pizza, crunchy, absolutely delicious. Really affordable prices, we're talking about 8 euros for a sandwich and 2 euros for a drink. Excellent and fast service. Well done.

They deserve top stars, considering the excellent quality, so it's not cheap. Once we were seated, we waited 10 minutes before they came to take our order. I can't eat gluten, milk, or eggs, and I mentioned this when I ordered. I had grilled chicken with salad and sautéed vegetables. Since my friend ordered polenta with meatballs, I asked if I could try them without risk of cross-contamination, and the maître d' said he'd prepare some for me on the side. When they brought them to me in a separate log, I saw they were covered in cheese, so I apologized and refused them, and he apologized too. I was eating mine calmly when he came back with another portion of polenta in pieces, without any additives. It was good 😋, but above all, I appreciated that, despite the misunderstanding, they took the trouble to prepare it just for me a second time!! They are guys who work with passion and dedication, very down-to-earth and with a passion for good food and good service.

The dishes were plentiful but not excellent. The cacio e pepe was very salty. The tagliatelle with porcini mushrooms, however, wasn't salty. The appetizer was tasty. The setting was very charming, and the service was also average.

We had a mixed platter. All the products were delicious.
