06/08/2025: The Catalan-style octopus is excellent, along with delicious, well-filled sandwiches, quality ingredients, and delicious aromas and flavors.
A small, welcoming and relaxing atmosphere, tastefully decorated with details that give it a cheerful, vacation-like feel.
The outdoor seating is charming, in a quiet location despite being in the Colonne neighborhood.
The staff are friendly and professional, and the owners are very attentive to their customers: the family-run business is an added bonus.
28/07/2025: Nulla di chè, panino rosetta con fin troppi ingredienti. Nell'insieme accostamenti che non esaltano i sapori, forse la semplicità sarebbe più apprezzata. Il sapore del pesce deve sentirsi. Personalmente non mi piace ordinare alla cassa per poi accomodarmi. Preferisco il servizio al tavolo alla vecchia maniera e non un mordi e fuggi. Costi delle birre fin troppo elevato, €7,50 per un'artigianale.

The raw fish is superb!!! The first courses are also exceptional!!!
If you're passing through and you like fresh fish, this place is a must-try!
The only downside is the parking, as the place is on the seafront, so it's not easy to find one in the immediate vicinity.
Reservations recommended.

I'm writing this review to warn and caution so that no one else might fall victim to a scam, as unfortunately happened to me this evening.
My son will be sworn in on October 11th, and given the importance of the event and knowing that all the restaurants would be full, I made sure to reserve a table for 12 well in advance. In mid-July, when I called the owner, he himself was surprised that I hadn't yet known about the event. He said to me, "You were right, ma'am, to call so far in advance.
We agreed to meet again in mid-August to finalize the menu.
Today I called the person in charge of managing the restaurant, who replied that they would be closed that day because they are always closed for lunch. I should point out that, during the first call, I myself wasn't sure whether to have lunch or dinner, but it was he who suggested, "It's better at lunchtime, ma'am, everyone does that."
Today, I learned that I won't have a place to celebrate the event, as many other venues are already fully booked.
Therefore, I would like to point out the lack of seriousness of this restaurant and advise anyone planning an event not to choose this location, precisely because of its lack of reliability.

Anfo is one of those villages most people drive through. And maybe when you do, you will spot “Al Carel”.
Make sure you stop and go visit this exquisite little restaurant. Here’s why…
You will be welcomed like a lost relative coming home. You will sit with local Italians, which should already tell you this is a good place to be.
Our waitress, who speaks English very well, started to explain about the menu. The way she did that, it became poetry. If Italy would ever need to put one person on stage as a spokes person, she would need to be the first choice.
Now I can tell you all about the excellent food, the divine lasagne bolognese I ate, but you will have to experience what it truly means if Italians cook up a dish.
Coming from The Netherlands, our kitchen is not well known internationally. We cook to eat mostly, you will survive the Dutch kitchen and not go hungry.
But Italians can cook. And when they put their heart in it, like they do at “Al Carel”, you will be a changed person for the better.
Al Carel, their kitchen staff and people working there, serving you, will make you feel at home in Italy, like a long lost family member returning. ❤️🇮🇹💯

MARCO and SERENA welcome you to their Home Restaurant, which is what it is in every way. You eat what's available, and there is plenty of it. You're welcomed with familiar simplicity and food prepared as if it were a family dinner with friends. It's plentiful, from appetizers to dessert, to homemade digestifs, the classic tordelli, but not quite, homemade but refined without too much spice and without Mortadella, becoming gentle, a great alternative. But one thing above all: the tranquility, the silence, the absence of hustle and bustle. The restaurant is in an area outside Camaiore, where greenery reigns supreme, and you can feel it. In these days of oppressive heat, we were finally able to enjoy some fresh air. You park on the lawn in the large garden, climb a few steps, and you reach the outdoor tables on the designated terrace. It's something that is priceless these days. So, in short, THANK YOU MARCO AND SERENA. WE WILL DEFINITELY SEE YOU AGAIN.
16/08/2025: We visited this Tuscan trattoria and had a truly excellent experience.
The cured meats are excellent, the prosciutto crudo sausage...unforgettable, high-quality, and authentic. The homemade tordelli with veal ragù are simply exceptional, rich in flavor and perfectly seasoned.
Also worth trying are the gnocchi with dormant mushrooms and creamed potatoes, an original and well-balanced dish.
Among the main courses, the chicken and ribs deserve a special mention: tender, flavorful, and cooked to perfection. A place that combines tradition and authenticity with truly unforgettable dishes. Highly recommended!
And I forgot...the waters of Međugorje...

17/08/2025: Super, I can't describe this culinary experience any other way, because it is an experience. The pizza is truly delicious, crispy but not too crispy, light and rich with quality ingredients.
The desserts? 2 experiences, excellent! (I tried the mango semifreddo)
The staff is very welcoming, young and always kind.
Highly recommended

21/08/2025: I'm well enough in the business to know where NOT to go to avoid tourist traps, but since I'm not from Rome, I don't really know where the real gems are.
A few years ago, a colleague told me: "Go to Girasole in Garbatella, trust me." So I dove in a bit blindly. And thank goodness: it was a revelation.
For about fifteen euros, they served me a full menu: appetizer, first course, second course, side dish, wine, and coffee. And I'm not talking about small portions: the carbonara dish was the size of a weapon of mass destruction, the thinly sliced potatoes tasted like crispy chips, and the meat, I don't remember exactly, was good and home-made. In the end, I left feeling shaky, I don't know if it was because of the included wine or the food. What I do know is that Il Girasole gave me the best value I can remember. Genuine staff, a warm welcome: more than a restaurant, it felt like dining at home.
Since that day, every time I pass through Rome, Girasole is a fixed stop.

18/08/2025: Trentino always offers wonderful surprises. Just a couple of kilometers from Fiera di Primiero, I recommend a tasty and fun stop. A sensory journey for the senses, both smell and taste. In Mezzano, there's an artist who delights in inspiring emotions with his unique and rare cured meats. He makes them himself, rediscovering ancient traditions and giving voice to the aromas and flavors of the region.
Macelleria Bonat is worth more than a visit, as long as you're not in a hurry. Luigi Valline isn't looking for tourists, but for travelers who still have a taste for discovery.
Before you taste his delicacies, made with quality ingredients and ancient techniques that don't involve the use of chemicals, you'll have to listen to the "spiegone," as Luigi, a speaker, photographer, musician, and much more, calls it. The "explogone" helps you understand how the lonzetta with wild mint and stevia is made, as well as the guanciale with wild oregano or the speck with BioNoc' beer (another Mezzano excellence, gold and bronze medalist at the 2024 World Beer Championships in Barcelona).
A separate chapter is deserved by the mortandela, the ancestor of mortadella, brought back to life and combined with the chef's expertise. We met Luigi and his wife Simonetta thanks to Valerio's guide, but if you want to spend 40 minutes tasting and full of curiosity, it's definitely worth it.
In Palermo dialect, we would have summed it up as "U miegghiu" (literally, "I'll migghiu").
08/08/2025: A place where you can truly find a blend of research and tradition. The good Luigi is the story of a lifetime spent trying to explain his discoveries. I assure you, his "baptism" offers a blend of flavors and emotions. A must-try.
