29/03/2025: We just finished a fabulous experience at La Grotta. March is definitely slow season here but we have never been more welcomed or felt more "tended to" than our dinner at La Grotta. The dinner started with a nice pour of complimentary Prosecco and a small bite, followed of course by locally made bread and olive oil. My wife and I shared the stuffed artichoke and then the guinea fowl-filled ravioli to start the meal. For secondi, I had the lamb and my wife had the duck. All dishes were exemplary! I disagree with reviewers who comment that portion sizes are too small. True, they are not large, but all were beautifully presented and just right for our tastes. We will return on our next visit to Montepulciano!

The restaurant is in a strategic position, convenient both for those arriving from the motorway and for those leaving from Milan. As soon as we entered we were welcomed with kindness and friendliness: the environment is warm and welcoming, making you immediately feel at ease. The food? Really excellent! Tasty dishes, well presented and prepared with quality raw materials. The bill is also correct: absolutely right for how much we ate and for the good experience in general. I will definitely be back! The super kind and friendly waiter was able to give us the best advice and exceeded all the expectations we could have had. Very relaxing atmosphere, spectacular food with combinations that leave you speechless from the emotion and harmony between flavors that go well with each other. My most sincere compliments to the chef and owner of this fantastic restaurant. Thanks for the experience

09/04/2025: Ero a Castellana per lavoro ed ho deciso in pausa pranzo di raggiungere questo ristorante...esperienza davvero positivissima e super consigliata . Ho ordinato una tagliata ed il proprietario ha deciso di coccolarmi anche con la degustazione di alcuni formaggi squisiti e delle polpette. Assolutamente consigliato .

12/04/2025: The name "tavern" does not convey the perception of the place, not in a derogatory sense, but in the sense that this is a restaurant that could be the envy of many Michelin-starred restaurants in Italy. Extraordinary dishes, customer focus, an incredible wine list, quality product. Absolutely not to be missed but above all a place and a telephone number to keep in the diary.
