16/09/2025: The service here is terrible. We booked a reservation and were given the worst located table at the restaurant. The wait staff treated us as a chore and were very unorganized. We consistently saw food that the staff did not know where to run it to. The food was mediocre and took about 1.5 hours to serve a pasta dish. If you are American avoid this place, they simply do not care.

16/09/2025: What was supposed to be a romantic evening with my husband on our first night in Siena during our honeymoon turned out to be a major disappointment at Vivace Ristorante. We had made a reservation for 7:30, specifically hoping for a table on the terrace with a beautiful view overlooking Siena. Instead, we were seated at a less-than-ideal table, and the staff made no effort to offer a warm welcome. From the very beginning, the atmosphere felt uninviting. The service was extremely slow. It took over an hour and a half for our food to arrive, and when it finally did, the dishes were mediocre at best. Honestly, my grandmother’s recipes back home are far better. To make matters worse, the head waiter was shockingly rude—not only to us but also to his own staff. Having worked in food service for over 10 years, I could clearly see how poorly he treated the servers, and it was uncomfortable to watch. The only kindness we received that evening was from the younger staff, who tried to make up for his behavior. One moment that really stood out was when my husband tried asking a simple question about the area. Mid-sentence, the head waiter interrupted him, walked away, and never returned to finish the conversation. It was dismissive and incredibly disrespectful. On top of everything, one of the first things we ordered was bottled water. It never came, yet we were still charged for it. When we tried to get the head waiter’s attention to address it, he blatantly ignored us, making us feel like an inconvenience rather than valued guests. If you are American—or really any tourist—avoid this place. It feels like a tourist trap with overpriced, average food and unfriendly service. Siena has many wonderful restaurants with genuine hospitality—unfortunately, Vivace is not one of them. :-(

17/10/2025: A very charming restaurant, clean and tidy, and very friendly and welcoming staff. Nothing to complain about when it comes to the freshness and quality of the products. The raw fish dishes and antipasti are top-notch, the gourmet steaks are superb, the wine cellar is top-notch... live music on weekends. Highly recommended.

16/10/2025: For my lunch break, it's the best. The quality of the dishes is superb and everything is top-notch, including the price, the atmosphere, and the staff are fabulous! A must-visit!

08/10/2025: For the first time, I tasted authentic Venetian cuisine. The risotto al go' is amazing, as is the creamed cod. The quality/price ratio is quite good. Perhaps in the evening when it's crowded, it can be a bit chaotic, but that's the beauty of trattorias.

13/10/2025: We thoroughly enjoyed our meal at L’Agave. The food was wonderful and our server helped us pick out a wonderful wine. I had fresh baked gluten free bread which was quite a treat. The service was stellar and the views are stunning. We were happy to dine there for our second time.

The first time, everything was delicious, but the second time, the pasta was disappointing, and the fried octopus had a strong smell of old oil that made my stomach hurt. The service was excellent, and the atmosphere was great. Overall, I would recommend this restaurant. The ravioli caprese were excellent.

12/09/2025: The red wine and lavender shops are both delicious, and there's often a line. For gelato, you have to go to a shop with a lid on, where you can't see the gelato itself!

18/08/2025: Wonderful place for brunch. The staff is very friendly. As a tourist, they even hand you a little note with their recommendations for sightseeing and great places to eat and drink. You should try and enjoy !

The ingredients are top-quality: you can immediately taste that everything is fresh and carefully prepared, from the homemade first courses to the flavorful second courses, right down to the desserts that captivate you from the first bite. The atmosphere is welcoming and familiar, the place is meticulously maintained, yet still maintains that simplicity that makes you feel instantly at home. A special thanks goes to Ilaria, part of the staff: always smiling, kind, and super professional. She's excellent at her job, attentive to every detail, and always ready to recommend the perfect dish with expertise and charm. Her presence makes the service truly impeccable and contributes to a pleasant atmosphere for all customers and the other waiters. In short, Osteria Angelina is the ideal place for those seeking good food, warmth, and professionalism. I'll definitely be back! 🍷🍝

28/10/2025: We went to the restaurant for dinner. The decor wasn't my taste. The food was different, but it was great. The service was good too.

16/10/2025: We stopped by spontaneously and were able to seat three people. The service was very attentive. We felt comfortable. The food was delicious, and the dessert was also delicious.

05/09/2025: Very nice place and very good beers. The food, however, has its complaints: so much choice that you're missing out on. The portion of eggplant parmigiana was undercooked and tiny. The dessert fared worse: a "fresh" fruit salad with apple, peach, and unripe kiwi. It's a shame because the place looks very promising. The service was also quite fast.

02/09/2025: I visited this pub recently and I have to say it was a great experience! The burger was really good: juicy meat, fresh, and well-balanced ingredients. The beer also pleasantly surprised me: well-tasted, tasty, and the perfect accompaniment to the meal. The place has a welcoming atmosphere, perfect for both a dinner with friends and a more relaxed evening. The service was friendly and fast, always with a smile—which always makes the difference. I will definitely be back. Highly recommended for those who enjoy good food without too many frills but with quality!

05/11/2025: I found this restaurant near where I was using Google Maps. Thanks to Google Maps for the tip. A very welcoming, traditional trattoria. The staff were very friendly, helpful, and impeccable. Excellent dishes prepared with top-quality ingredients, including porcini mushrooms and meat. The quality/price ratio was very good. A special mention for the Tuscan wine, which, despite being in bulk, was excellent. Congratulations and thank you.
