03/11/2025: Had a nice evening. Weather was good and I really enjoyed the pasta I ordered. The food is costly but since it tasted good - I didn’t mind the pricing. I would have given half a point extra - but the turn off was the desperation of the staff to try and get you to get the expensive product. As a restauranteur myself - I always tell my team to avoid this. Never try and sell an expensive dish. See what the customer wants and what they will enjoy the most. An upscale space like this should serve bread with they pasta so we can lap the sauce but no. The guy constantly was trying to sell the most expensive wine or bread - so if they didn’t do that - would have been more genuine. Otherwise food was very good.

02/11/2025: Delicious food and excellent service! We booked a table in advance since this place is very popular, and we felt well taken care of throughout the whole evening. I ordered the lobster pasta and it was amazing, though I wish there had been a bit more lobster considering the price. Overall, a great experience!

The appetizer was excellent with cured meats and sgabei, the polenta with mushrooms was amazing, and the onion jam was simply fantastic... 03/11/2025: A truly charming place in the heart of Ortigia. We drank interesting and sophisticated cocktails, carefully crafted and truly delicious. The atmosphere is sophisticated yet welcoming, with a historic square and the sky overhead—a truly evocative atmosphere. The food is simple yet fresh and well-prepared: we tried a fennel salad and anchovy crostini, perfect accompaniments to our drinks. An ideal place for a relaxed and delicious evening, definitely worth a visit if you're visiting Ortigia.

The setting was fantastic, the rooms were comfortable and spotlessly clean, and the food was exceptionally good—it was fragrant and flavorful, so much so that you could even mop up the bread! Hahaha. Many thanks to all the staff who greeted us in the morning and said goodbye the next day. The staff were truly highly qualified and always available for any need. Highly recommended!! -Davide

17/10/2025: We came to this restaurant on the recommendation of a friend who had his wedding reception here. It's five minutes from Piazza Crimea, but it feels like you're already on the open hillside, in a very charming location with a terrace offering a beautiful view. The dinner featured some daring but very shareable choices. Unlike the others, I didn't order the tartare (with Ikura, by the way, an excellent pairing), but instead the egg(cat) parmesan/mushroom combo, which was out of this world, even though my coronary arteries took a hit. Next came pasta with duck ragù (good, but I would have preferred a drier pasta dish, but I clearly don't understand anything) and the lamb escalope, which was a masterpiece, served on a bed of some sort of baba ganoush, but much more liquid. I didn't have any room for dessert. From a winemaking perspective, a round of applause; the Barbaresco we ordered was PERFECT in every way.

14/10/2025: Authentic Bari cuisine, seafood, octopus, and cuttlefish, all fresh! Fast service, friendly, smiling, and welcoming waiters and owner. Highly recommended! We'll be back soon!
