A place steeped in tradition, where you always leave happy. Years pass, occasions change, prices change, everything changes. Yet you always go to Ai Piani with the certainty of a wonderful evening. An authentic and excellent selection of seafood, solid traditional cuisine, superb signature dishes, exquisite side dishes, a wine list designed by those who know how to drink, by connoisseurs (and not just to put on a show). Even the desserts are a treat. The staff is courteous and friendly. In short, you can be a restaurant for the wealthy while still offering refined sincerity and a certain quality, even after many years of success. Long live Ai Piani.

Excellent seafood restaurant. A thoughtful menu, a display of the freshest fish, and a top-notch wine list! Prices are certainly not cheap, but considering the location/ambiance, food quality, and service, it's in line with expectations.

I found perfection. The freshest fish in Rome. I absolutely recommend the tuna fillet and green peppercorns. The raw shrimp and scampi are so fresh, and not to mention the oysters and scallops. When you eat them, they seem like they've just come out of the sea, and when you add lemon, your taste buds start singing with joy. In short: Service: perfect Quality: perfect Ambience: perfect Organization: perfect Result: this restaurant deserves more than a 10.

11/05/2026: Zero tourists. Frequented by Italians: that's a good sign!! Excellent value for money and great vibes. Friendly service when there's a smile. Less than €20 for two (different slices of pizza to cut and pay by weight, pastries, coffee). Bonus: one of the staff members spoke French and was extremely welcoming! I recommend venturing beyond the immediate tourist areas around the Vatican and trying this place!
09/05/2026: We found the place to be stunning, well-kept, and welcoming. There's a stunning variety of options, all of which are of excellent quality—rare to find, especially near the Vatican. The staff are all incredibly kind and know exactly what to recommend. If you're near the Vatican Museums and don't stop by, you're missing out. Highly recommended!!!

03/11/2025: Had a nice evening. Weather was good and I really enjoyed the pasta I ordered. The food is costly but since it tasted good - I didn’t mind the pricing. I would have given half a point extra - but the turn off was the desperation of the staff to try and get you to get the expensive product. As a restauranteur myself - I always tell my team to avoid this. Never try and sell an expensive dish. See what the customer wants and what they will enjoy the most. An upscale space like this should serve bread with they pasta so we can lap the sauce but no. The guy constantly was trying to sell the most expensive wine or bread - so if they didn’t do that - would have been more genuine. Otherwise food was very good.
02/11/2025: Delicious food and excellent service! We booked a table in advance since this place is very popular, and we felt well taken care of throughout the whole evening. I ordered the lobster pasta and it was amazing, though I wish there had been a bit more lobster considering the price. Overall, a great experience!
