07/11/2025: Today, November 7, 2025, our third day in Palermo, visiting the monuments of this fantastic city, we come across a delicatessen at Via Vittorio Emanuele 389 whose aromas can be felt even in the street. Over the past few days, we've often eaten fish at various restaurants in Mondello and on excursions in the surrounding area (Bagheria, Borgo Porrini, Monreale, etc.), and many other Sicilian specialties. We enter this delicatessen, observing its characteristic tavern-like decor, and meet a gentleman named Amedeo Palermitano DOC, who graciously welcomes us and seats us at a shared table (it's raining outside). The atmosphere is promising, and we're seated right in front of the large counter displaying all the shop's merchandise. Behind the counter, a young Sicilian woman named Teresa practically does everything herself (she actually has the help of a young man who only takes care of the after-dinner service, and her father Anedeo, who, kindly, despite a few aches and pains, delivers things to the tables and attends to the guests' needs). We carefully watch Teresa prepare and order a platter of cured meats and cheeses, along with other small items for the two of us. Amedeo, at our request, recommends the wine, and we order two glasses: a red for me and a white for my wife, both from fine Sicilian wineries. The platter arrives and is truly marvelous: 6 or 7 types of cheese of varying consistencies, from ricotta with citrus sauce to provolone stuffed with olives and chili pepper, through other spicy and not-so-unique cheeses. The cheeses are accompanied by equally varied cured meats, such as mortadella and mortadella with herbs, capocollo, fillet, a unique cooked ham, salami, and prosciutto crudo. In the middle of the platter were some delicious marinated green and black olives and a small plate of eggplant with sauce and celery, honey mushrooms, and sweet and sour marinated pumpkin. My palate was overwhelmed by a variety of original flavors, and the glass of wine enhanced them. I won't deny that I even ate all the bread in the basket. Amedeo is a man with extensive life experience (an overager like me), and with him we talked about the South and our shared dream of seeing a respected, autonomous South, aware of its artistic and historical values, and of people who can foster a sense of belonging. I noticed two of Amedeo's loves: his daughter Teresa, to whom he gazes with paternal love, and Santa Rosalia, whom she jealously guards in a small niche within the restaurant. Teresa, on the other hand, is the hub of the delicatessen, the industrious part of the shop, combining the combinations and intertwining of cured meats and cheeses, as well as small gastronomic dishes of Sicilian delicacies. He's very knowledgeable, even in running this shop, and his passion for this profession shines through. Aside from the culinary delights you shouldn't miss if you're passing through (very close to the cathedral, the royal palace, and the church of San Giuseppe dei Teatini and Santa Caterina—practically at the center of these monumental masterpieces), I had the pleasure of meeting two people of great depth, both in their simplicity and thorough professionalism. For those interested in the god of money, we spent only 20 euros each. Greetings to Teresa and Amedeo. Long live Santa Rosalia.

12/10/2025: Superlative! Especially for the quiet atmosphere, not as noisy as other restaurants. The dishes are aligned with typical traditional Indian specialties and, given the wide selection, cater to all tastes; I even found a couple of recipes I hadn't yet discovered. I'll definitely be back, even though it's a bit out of the way, to share it with friends.
23/09/2025: A refined and intimate atmosphere, excellent service. Among the sauces served at the table, I didn't like the spicy one, even though I really enjoy those types of sauces. The portions are small, but the food is good. About €35 per person, not a huge meal. Prices are perhaps a bit high. Still, it's a good restaurant for a different kind of ethnic cuisine. The semini after the meal and the aged rum are good.

Typical, local products, prepared in an absolutely original and technological way, with unusual flavor combinations, professional yet friendly service, all in a warm and familiar atmosphere. It's an experience you won't be able to repeat regularly, but any occasion will be a good one! Thank you and congratulations.

06/12/2025: First things first: I've been a customer since you opened. I've been really disappointed lately. This evening I ordered five takeout sandwiches, all cold. The pulled pork was dry, the eggplant was from the day before, the bacon was nonexistent, and the thing that shocked me the most was the egg yolk instead of cheddar cheese. It's unacceptable. Get back to basics, otherwise you'll be forced to close soon!

As soon as you step inside, you're enveloped in a warm, welcoming atmosphere brimming with positive energy—the kind of environment that lets you know you're in for a special evening. Huge applause goes to Simone, the true beating heart of the kitchen. His skill is simply extraordinary: every dish that leaves his kitchen is a small work of art, prepared with care, passion, and evident talent. The flavors are clear, bold, surprising, and you can taste how much he loves what he does. The meat is expertly cooked, the portions are generous, and the attention to detail is impeccable. He's one of those chefs who transforms a meal into an experience. And outside, in the dining room, there's Alessia, who is the perfect embodiment of kindness. She accompanies you to your table with a sincere smile, a rare delicacy, and a professionalism that truly makes the difference. She's attentive, available, always ready to help and make everyone feel at ease. With her, you immediately feel welcomed and cared for, like part of a big family. In conclusion: a magnificent place, and I also recommend the MAST E FEST with its crispy bread, which is different from the other sandwich shops with the simple bun that everyone else makes. The only downside is the menu with tons of sandwiches for those who are eternally indecisive. Congratulations to Simone and Alessia, who make this pub a place you always want to return to. Highly recommended!

24/11/2025: Nice place, a little isolated, but it's worth stopping if you're passing by. All the dishes are homemade and excellent. Nice, full plates, great food, good service, nice atmosphere, downstairs, it's a nice bar, plenty of parking spaces.
12/11/2025: The best restaurant I've ever eaten at on Lake Como. Everything was delicious, and the staff were always smiling. We went there three times during our stay and each time we were stuffed. The portions were large! The prices were also very reasonable. For a moment, I felt like a real Italian. The restaurant also serves desserts, which aren't listed on the menu, but after asking the waiter, we get a full list of what's being served that day.

20/11/2025: Eating at this restaurant is a truly unique experience. The place itself is unusual, and the owner even more so. The concept: - No menu; the menu is presented verbally, and you choose between three primis and secondis. For the antipasti, you'll have several dishes laid out on the table in a relaxed, informal style. * A nice touch is the middle course with a spoonful of gorgonzola! - Prices range from 50 to 60 euros per person, including wine. Please note: cash only! Everything was delicious, and Luciano's wonderful atmosphere was a real highlight! A must-visit, but book well in advance.
16/11/2025: I recommend booking well in advance, otherwise you won't find a table. The menu is fixed, with variations for first and second courses. It's not à la carte! Everything is included, even wine...basically, it's all you can eat. Excellent restaurant, well done!!!
