We also had the immense pleasure of hosting a welcome dinner for our family at the Al Grappolo venue itself. They set up our event in their beautiful garden. Owners Maurizio and Elisa are delightful and truly convey the passion they put into their work. The food is truly delicious, with attention to every detail. I recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a pleasant evening.

15/08/2025: The first time we approached, we were very rudely told it was late, 10 p.m. Today, the outdoor space was empty, and we were told they had no tables. Too bad that after 2 hours, those tables were still empty. Rude, I'll never approach you again!

23/08/2025: If I could, I would give this place 100 stars. The food is amazing and the service is excellent. We ate all our dinners here when we stayed at Lake Como. Once you try their food you would not want to eat anywhere else. Braised beef with polenta is a must have. And desert are to die for.

21/08/2025: A rainy summer evening, perfect for a rich ragù. Miraculously, I find a parking spot next to the restaurant, and from outside, I'm struck by the beautiful striped awnings. We're greeted with kindness and discretion, which is no small feat these days. The food is excellent, with a special mention for the pheasant or wild boar entrees. The portions are generous, and the prices are truly fair. Everything would have been perfect, except that we were sitting on the lap of a couple whose lives, deaths, and miracles we now know, despite ourselves. Now, whether it's the heavy rain and the closed outdoor seating, or some other reason, I'm still gulping down massive amounts of Brioschi because of the people sitting next to me at the table. Aside from flirting with my irresistible dog, they weren't doing anything wrong, but damn... they'd sacrifice a place setting for a shred of privacy. It's my fault anyway (as always): I need to learn to explicitly ask for tables set back from the crowd, because eating within 20 centimeters of other people without being at Cecchini in Panzano or Le Dive in Manhattan really bothers me. Even if I risk being rude with this request, I can at least reduce the amount of Brioschi I get after dinner. Well, I also have to make the dog less tender, otherwise every dinner will inevitably be a group affair. Ignoring today's bad luck, the food is recommended, and the service lives up to the lovely atmosphere. I recommend a bit of healthy social distancing, which would earn such a lovely place a full five stars.

The owner is super friendly, eating at capricci di gola is a fantastic experience from which you will never go back 😍 From the super stocked rotisserie counter, to the fish to the meat, the kindness of the staff, to the speed of takeaway, it deserves more than 5 stars, it will be my new favorite place to eat.

26/07/2025: Het personeel sprak goed engels, de omelet was echt heerlijk, dunne plkjes ham in het midden omringd door een goed gebakken ei, de patat was goed gezouten. Ook had het een leuke sfeer een soort medische sfeer met anatomie. Zeker een aanrader voor ontbijt en/of lunch, diner niet gehad hier.

16/07/2025: Considerata una delle gelaterie più buone di Milano. Ovviamente...da provare. Ci avviamo per assaggiare uno dei gelati più acclamati della città. Personale cortese. Gelato buono...MA...mi aspettavo di più. Forse mi sono fatta fregare dalle grandi aspettative che crescevano leggendo le recensioni. Secondo me un po' caro. La panna sopra il gelato è ottima ma costa un po' troppo (0,70cent). Ci tornerei comunque.

Ho conosciuto oggi Massimo di persona e deco dire che è raro trovare gentilezza, classe e cultura di livello in un titolare di gelateria. Sono anni che vado, e confermo di aver sempre trovato i migliori gelati di milano, con gusti selezionati e di altissima qualità. Raccomando a tutti di provare l’emozione si assaggiare sapori e profumi da tutto il mondo raccchiusi in un gelato! Grazie Massimo

27/08/2025: Despite the heavy crowd and extremely rude other guests, the staff (especially the waitress) remained calm and relaxed, serving us with unfailing friendliness and courtesy. All the dishes we ordered were delicious, very finely seasoned, and beautifully presented.

24/08/2025: Our experience was unfortunately very disappointing. Despite having made an 8:30 PM reservation, we weren't seated until 9:00 PM. We ordered four pizzas, but only three were served; for the fourth, we were offered a tong (which we declined), resulting in a further wait of about 20 minutes. The quality of the food, moreover, was mediocre and not up to the expectations. When we politely expressed our displeasure, the owner reacted with public insults and threats, even telling us that if we returned, we would be "beaten up." This was unacceptable behavior, offensive to the customer's dignity, and far from what one would expect from someone who runs a restaurant. A negative experience in every respect: service, quality, and especially customer service. I strongly advise against this restaurant.

24/08/2025: Extremely terrible experience. Highly recommended due to the treatment we received from the owner. There were four of us for dinner and we'd ordered four pizzas. Only three arrived. The waiter came to our table and asked us that the pinsa were currently being cooked and that the expected wait for the last pizza was at least 15-20 minutes. He asked if we'd like to change our order so as not to wait, and we declined. When the owner came to our table to ask how things were going, we mentioned the inconvenience of having three of us eat while the other person had to wait 20 minutes and watch others eat for a simple pizza. The owner, with arrogance, replied that she would now explain how it worked at her restaurant. An unjustifiable explanation. When we reiterated the impropriety of the situation, rather than apologize and admit the mistake, she first asked us to get up from the table and that she wouldn't charge us. Then, as the discussion continued, she dared to address one of the other table members, telling him to shut up. Following the treatment we received, we were about to leave, and she promptly replied that she was the one who decided who paid in her restaurant and who didn't, and that therefore we couldn't leave. Not content with this, she called us rude, despite not even being able to use the formal "lei" (formerly "tu") during the discussion. And I should point out that none of us ever dared to address each other formally. Furthermore, after the unpleasant incident and after waiting for the last person to finally eat their pizza, as we went to the cashier to pay and leave, the owner deliberately followed us into the restaurant. And when we were talking to the employee asking for the bill, she dared to make further jokes and taunts in very poor taste. It was like being in elementary school. When one of us got upset, responding to her, given the continued treatment she was meting out to us, she even dared to insinuate that we were using drugs and even threatened us, saying that if we returned to her restaurant, she'd beat us up. It's bordering on ridiculous and insane. If you can't take criticism, the restaurant business isn't for you. If you can't organize the delivery of food to the dining room, the restaurant business isn't for you. Furthermore, when the mistake is pointed out, it's accepted and apologized. You would have made a better impression, and it would have been more professional. But since you're not professionals, this is the poor and extremely rude service you provide to your customers. Congratulations. We will definitely never set foot in there again, and we will not recommend it to anyone visiting Piazza Innocenzo III. Professionalism is not a given here at the Vittorio Emanuele Restaurant. The only people who survived were the waiters in the dining room.
