24/08/2025: Great experience! Classic spritz with cicchetto (appetizers) first, then duck and polenta, grilled steak with fries, and finally, cream puff pastry with berries. Everything was fabulous! Pairing wines: sparkling Raboso and the ever-present Prosecco. Reservations are recommended.

01/09/2025: A quiet little place with a limited but carefully prepared menu. Sardinian cuisine, of course, takes center stage, and I highly recommend it. The atmosphere is pleasant, the service excellent, and the bill is moderate for what you get.

19/08/2025: Second time at Ichikawa for the master's omakase, and once again it did not disappoint. A complete, refined, and relaxed experience: more than just a dinner, it was a true experience. Memorable dishes like the wagyu shabu-shabu, the belly sashimi, and the various pieces of sushi served directly by the master's hands. The service was perfectly timed, and the owner was able to guide you throughout the dinner with warmth and great expertise. The price was in line with excellent standards. Try it, you won't regret it.

09/08/2025: I took my wife for our wedding anniversary. I had a tasting at the bar and a unique sake. Everything was perfect, delicious, and plentiful. You pay, but for once, you leave having had a real experience. Plus, the chef and the partner made us feel special. We toasted together, and they prepared a birthday platter for us.

30/08/2025: I'm sorry, but an hour and a half delay is unacceptable. If you have a lot of demand, that's good for you, but be honest about the time you give.

27/07/2025: A little outside of Novara, but worth it. The spacious setting features seaside details, like the stone-decorated counter and the image of the tower and the landscape of Bagnara, a seaside town in Calabria. Other than that, the food is excellent. We tried the soufflé pizza, which is a must-try. Afterwards, I had a delicious fish-based main course. Very friendly staff. Average price. I'll be back ✨

11/07/2025: We stayed at Ciasa de Gaja for 5 nights. I would like to write a review for this hotel. We actually had a very nice few days there. The area is beautiful, with many shops and very friendly people. The restaurants in this area are very diverse and there is something for everyone. Now I would like to write a few lines about the hotel. All the staff are friendly and helpful. The room was clean and well-maintained, and the air conditioning worked very well. We slept well in bed; it was relatively quiet in the hotel. The hotel has a wonderful garden with very good parking spaces. At night, the courtyard/garden is closed off by a large gate. > Great! The hotel has a pool in the courtyard for hot days. The breakfast was okay; we're not picky eaters, but a bit more variety, or with vegetables (tomatoes, peppers, etc.), would have been good for sausage and cheese eaters. The breakfast is very dry. The coffee was very good and made fresh to order. On Sunday, there was only stale white bread.... I can't understand why the hotel's Google rating says 4 stars, but the website says 3 stars.... Isn't the hotel responsible for ensuring that the correct information isn't misleading... It's difficult to relax in the pool area. With the cameras and people constantly moving around, it's hard to find peace and quiet in the courtyard, and you feel a bit like you're being watched. Warning: No-Go! The hotel has a restaurant that closes one day. On Saturdays and Sundays, the hotel is open for lunch, and on other days, apart from the closing day, the restaurant is only open for dinner. On Sundays, the restaurant is only open for lunch. This means that hotel guests staying at the pool won't be able to get anything to drink outside of the restaurant's opening hours! When we asked the receptionist for a bottle of wine and a bottle of water, the lady at the reception had to ask if she could give us something? ``` Then they would say she's still waiting for information about who should/may/will take care of our order... She's not allowed to! Hours passed, and unfortunately, we didn't get anything to drink in the 30-degree afternoon heat. They simply sat there and said, "What hotel doesn't want to sell drinks to hotel guests during the day?"... I don't know of any. Sorry, that's not possible, dear Ciasa De Gaja.

09/07/2025: The place is beautiful, clean, and welcoming, equipped with every comfort and surrounded by a relaxing landscape. It feels like home! I'll be back!

20/08/2025: We went to the restaurant. Excellent. We had an egg with truffle (which I didn't have time to take a photo of because it was too tempting) and some very good wild boar pici. Parking at the back of the building is a bit hidden, but appreciated. Friendly staff.

18/08/2025: Near the historic city of Volterra, this family-run hotel and restaurant is an old farmhouse renovated to make it comfortable and pleasant to look at, perfectly fitting into the Tuscan countryside. The rooms are comfortable, clean, and spacious, with large bathrooms, air conditioning, and TVs. The restaurant offers traditional dishes expertly prepared by the owners, who also make homemade pasta. All this makes the old mill the ideal place to rest and enjoy a delicious meal while visiting Volterra and other magnificent towns in the area.

12/08/2025: This restaurant is a journey through flavors. There's no à la carte menu, but a selection of daily specials to choose from. It starts with a series of appetizers that build in flavor and savoriness. Then comes the three first courses, from which you can choose one or have a taste of all three. The same goes for the second courses, which were truly delicious: you could choose between pork, veal, and lamb... all extraordinary. I can't comment on the desserts because we didn't order them, having been completely full. All washed down with an excellent Cesanese del Piglio. Highly recommended!!!

13/07/2025: If you happen to pass through Piglio, in the province of Frosinone, there's a place you absolutely must try: Pompeo's Osteria del Vicolo Fatato. It's a true gem, a small and welcoming place where the food is truly delicious. The atmosphere is warm, familiar, and a bit rustic...just like the osterias of old. What I was pleasantly surprised by is that there's no printed menu: Pompeo tells you in person what's delicious that day. Each dish is prepared with fresh, seasonal ingredients, and you can taste the love for traditional cuisine, with a creative touch...the food is exquisite, the portions are just right, and you can see the attention to every detail. The service is attentive but never intrusive, and Pompeo knows how to make you feel at home, always with a smile...the prices are fair, which doesn't hurt. My heartfelt advice: it's best to reserve, especially on weekends, because there aren't many seats and the place gets very busy.

21/08/2025: Extremely disappointing. We spent 40 minute to get here, only to find the restaurant closed despite it showing as open everywhere online. No update on Google, no notice on their own website — nothing at all to warn customers. A complete waste of time and effort.

13/08/2025: Undeniably excellent food in terms of quality, quantity, and price. The service was very professional, courteous, and helpful. However, given the lengthy courtship process to secure a table for two, I expected a more formal and selective atmosphere. Instead, the dining room is small, the tables are too close together, and after a while, the atmosphere becomes chaotic, making it impossible to communicate with the person sitting across from you. It's completely unsuitable for hosting tables of people shouting and laughing loudly with their mouths full, like in a suburban dive. Even a great dinner can go completely haywire.
