Incredible! A highly recommended place, the wines and truffle dishes are spectacular, for dessert we recommend the homemade cheesecake, very good!

Wow! Authentic Italian Osteria with the most incredible homely food. Not many seats so I recommend reserving or trying your luck as a walk in. Cosy atmosphere, friendly staff & owners & truly a gem!! I was enjoying myself so much I forgot to take pictures!

The food is excellent, the place is very well kept, typical and beautiful, the owners are these two gentlemen (he and she) who make this delicious food.
The two of us had pappardelle with wild boar (very good with pieces of tender wild boar cooked properly), pecorino, walnut and pear fondue gnocchi (very delicate) and rabbit with truffles (AMAZING). For dessert, white chocolate mousse with truffles and another sweet mousse with gorgonzola, pears and walnuts, all delicious! As well as a glass of wine and water
Really honest prices we spent €76. We will definitely be back long live the hoopoe!

Dinner with two friends on Tuesday evening, polenta cake with excellent fondue, cheese and pepper gnocchi with pears and walnuts, nothing short of phenomenal!! Even my friends' first courses were all delicious! Courtesy of the staff and excellent food, prices in line with the average for the place, I highly recommend it!

Small place but welcoming in service (even towards my dog who received several biscuits from the owners).
Delicious food (polenta cake with truffle to try, sublime cheeses with honey). Right quality - price ratio.
Friendly, characteristic and very helpful owner.
In short, the ideal place for a quiet lunch in San Miniato.

The restaurant is located on the main street of San Miniato, it is very small but nice and with attention to detail. The menu presents various choices of dishes, obviously oriented towards Tuscan cuisine, but it is impossible not to find something to your liking. The dishes are excellently made, it is clear that the ingredients are top quality, even if the portions are not so generous. Excellent and courteous service, shame only about those 2.50 euros per coffee, which in my opinion are excessive for the context.

Piccolo ristorante ma molto accogliente. Appena entri senti proprio l’aria di casa, dovuta soprattutto all’ambiente oltre che all’accoglienza ricevuta. Il menù è abbastanza variegato e oltre alla portate al tartufo, è possibile trovare anche alcune portate “turistiche”. Siamo stati in questo locale pochi giorni prima dell’inizio della fiera del tartufo ed era già disponibile il tartufo bianco. In ogni modo abbiamo provato degli ottimi tagliolini al tartufo e come seconda portata uova col tartufo con purè. Ottima anche la carta dei vini. Il conto è stato congruo con quello che abbiamo consumato. Un locale in cui tornare e sicuramente da consigliare.

Non è un locale particolarmente grande ma è un ristorantino davvero delizioso. Il luogo ideale dove gustare piatti a base di tartufo, e nonsolo.
Buonissime le uova al tartufo ben cotte come piacciono a me ed altrettanto le fettuccine al tartufo. Da assaggiare : la collezione di caffè speciali.
