We have to agree with Vanna Marchi. Edit: Immediately after my review, THREE reviews appear from people who have NEVER written reviews, including a barking Martina who is ranting about reports (she, with one "punitive" review, reports me, a certified Local Guide, who spent 2 lire on starred restaurants 🤣). So even dishonest people unleash their "friends." Behavior reported 💋
21/10/2025: Local Guide Lucilla doesn't know how much gluten-free flour costs per kilo, she probably doesn't know about celiac disease, and she rambles on about food obsessions. For 20 years, this place has been a certified solution for those with celiac disease or gluten or lactose intolerance. PS. Immediately after my comment, Local Guide Lucilla continues to talk about things she doesn't know, in a rude and disrespectful manner. The question that comes to mind is: does Local Guide Lucilla have celiac disease? My mother, sister, and friend Elena, we all have celiac disease, and have been regular customers for years and years, ever since the Bottega opened. The friends who leave reviews are defending what they believe is right. This behavior has obviously been reported to Google several times by everyone. We look forward to seeing you at the Bottega for a coffee.

A historic, authentic restaurant, serving refined yet unfussy local cuisine: we enjoyed a truly excellent polenta taragna with mushrooms—a signature dish of the area, served with balance and flavor—accompanied by a good selection of local wines. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, with three indoor dining rooms and a very pleasant summer garden; private parking is also convenient. The service is friendly, the pace relaxed yet precise, and the dishes fully reflect Lombardy and Como traditions. A true trattoria, where quality remains consistent over time. 23/10/2025: I stopped by before heading to Milano Centrale Station. They greeted me warmly from the morning. I chose a variety of items, and they were all delicious. Unlike other tourist destinations, the prices were reasonable. It was roughly twice as good as famous Korean bakeries, but half the price. Tram No. 2 runs on the main road in front. For those heading to the Naviglio Canal, taking Tram No. 2 and getting off nearby and walking about 200 meters was the most efficient way to get there, without having to transfer.

It's not just a lunch, it's a true regeneration. The heart of the experience is the Offishina fish cured meats, Danilo's unique creations that offer simply incredible and unexplored taste experiences. The wine selection is perfect, completing an atmosphere where passion and love permeate every detail. ​Behind all this are irreplaceable pillars: Maria Teresa and Carmelo, unparalleled in hospitality, and the "mainstays" Valerio and Pamela. ​Between the dishes cooked and presented with obsessive care, the passion of this close-knit family, and the Offishina products—the true food of the future—a piece of my heart has remained.
31/08/2025: This place has become a must-try for me every time I visit Salento. Words can't describe the mastery of the preparation and sophistication of the dishes. We're talking about fish cured meats! I don't eat meat or meat products, but I can say with certainty that their fish cured meats are every bit as good as real cured meats. Try them and believe them! Grab a platter, or a tuna porchetta, or a tuna veal stew, and tell me I'm wrong! All washed down with the local rosé... Top! But can we leave out the dessert that literally blows my mind? The frisamisú! I repeat, it's a must-try for me every time I visit. Unfortunately, it seems they're about to cut back on the opening flowers to focus more on their artisanal cured meats, which you can buy if you want 😉😉

17/10/2025: I've eaten at this restaurant several times, and each time has been an exceptional experience. The fish is always incredibly fresh and impeccably cooked, with great attention to detail. My favorite first course is undoubtedly the paccheri with red shrimp and almonds: a balanced, fragrant, and truly delicious dish. Friendly staff and prompt service, a refined atmosphere, and a splendid sea view. One of the best seafood restaurants in the area, highly recommended for those who love authentic, quality cuisine.

Seated at 12:30, two adults with an 8-year-old daughter, left the table at 2:50, with the table next to us with two adults who at that moment, the same time as us, received their first course. Shame. Furthermore, the restaurant wasn't full. Shame. All Italian tourists. Shame. Ma', you serve less if you have problems in the kitchen. Shame on you. You have no right to run a restaurant, you don't understand the main factors of service, Paolo and Francesca have gone back to being children. You have offended the same place that has existed for so many years. Shame on you. Monster Day exists, you who manage that place. Now, as much as you think you are restaurateurs, you carry out checks, hoping that they will close you down. Shame on you.

08/10/2025: The food is excellent; try the homemade pasta (superb) and the meat (good and well-cooked), obviously with a cascade of porcini mushrooms. The place is a bit dated and could use some more tidiness; there are only a few tables. The wild strawberries in Nemi are a must; they're also available here, but I had mine overlooking the lake (spectacular).

The welcoming, family-friendly atmosphere will immediately make you feel at home. The service is attentive and friendly, passionately guiding you through your selection of dishes. I had the pleasure of enjoying a plate of homemade fettuccine with wild boar, which was a true masterpiece. The pasta, with its perfect texture, embraced a rich, flavorful sauce, with the wild boar adding a rustic, delicate touch to the dish. Each bite was an explosion of flavors that made me feel instantly immersed in the local gastronomic tradition. Next, the suckling pig platter was a real treat. The tender and flavorful meat melted in your mouth, its flavor reflecting the care taken in selecting the ingredients and preparing them. The platter was enriched with a selection of excellent cheeses, which, accompanied by a jam, perfectly complemented the experience. Every bite was a journey through authentic and genuine flavors. The combination of fresh ingredients, culinary expertise, and impeccable hospitality makes Le Scalette a must-visit for anyone who wants to savor the true cuisine of Nemi.
