15/10/2025: Excellent products. Trio of top-quality raw meats (perfect as presented, without adding any seasoning to better appreciate the flavors offered by the kitchen). The mushroom dishes are very rich and the flavors are well-balanced (the fried mushrooms are very well done... it's hard not to let the fried mushrooms dominate). Of course, a good selection of wines (it's a shame I had to limit myself).

14/10/2025: Family lunch, pleasant atmosphere on the outdoor terrace. Mushrooms specialty, prepared in every way. I personally had the plin with roast beef sauce, very good.

11/10/2025: A breathtaking location by the sea, we got married here on September 22, 2025, and it was simply unforgettable, so much so that our friends and family complimented us on it being the most beautiful and unconventional wedding they'd ever been to. The price, especially considering the level of service, the location, and the number of staff, was absolutely reasonable. We'd especially like to thank Tiziana, Elisa, Achille, and Carla of Casa Olivia, who, with their immense professionalism, were our guardian angels throughout the event. 22/09/2025: We were at a wedding. Beautiful location right on the sea, a wide variety of appetizers, both seafood and meat, and very generous first courses. I skipped the main course to make room for dessert. The buffet was very generous.

09/10/2025: We visited this restaurant and can't say enough good things about it! The service was impeccable, thanks to our waiter Gigi, who was truly talented and incredibly kind. He guided us through our selection of dishes, offering expert and friendly advice. Every course was a discovery of flavors: everything was delicious, from appetizers to desserts. In particular, the mushrooms were exceptional, fresh, and perfectly cooked. Even the wine, selected on Gigi's recommendation, enhanced every dish. A culinary experience we'll definitely repeat. Thanks again to Gigi and all the staff for the wonderful welcome!

17/08/2025: We had dinner at this restaurant last night. The tasting menu is a journey through flavors! The blue cheese with white chocolate, the tartare, and the wild boar tortelli were excellent. The atmosphere and service were elegant but not too formal! Highly recommended!

14/08/2025: Dinner at SaQua is a culinary journey – a modern approach to traditional Tuscan cuisine, where every bite becomes a small work of art, accompanied by a romantic view of the picturesque town of Montescudaio. This is a place where flavors blend and infuse the atmosphere. The restaurant is elegant, yet cozy. The staff pays attention to every detail of the guest experience from the very first moment. We opted for the tasting menu, and from the first bites, it was clear that this place is driven by passion and immense talent. Local beef tartare with avocado cream, olive powder, and crispy bread flakes – fresh, delicate, and perfectly balanced. Blu di bufala – an intense buffalo cheese accompanied by sweet and sour toppings that created an extraordinary harmony of flavors. Ravioli with wild boar in butter and sage – our favorite of the evening and an absolute hit. The thin, springy dough and rich, deep filling made this dish a lasting memory. Tagliolino with pigeon, blueberries, and a hint of gin and tonic – a bold yet cohesive combination. Pork with puree and apple and plum chutney – the chutney was absolutely fantastic. Pre-dessert: cherry sorbet – intense and wonderfully refreshing Dessert - Hazelnut Namelaka cream, passion fruit, caramelized nuts, lemon meringue Finally, we had the pleasure of meeting the chef, Simone Acquarelli – an incredibly personable man with a passion that shines through in every dish. SaQua is a place you want to return to – for the flavor, the atmosphere, and the people who create this wonderful place.

31/10/2025: The atmosphere was intimate and very welcoming. The table service was prompt, but cold and disinterested. Throughout the dinner, not even at checkout were we asked how it went. The child's cavatelli with tomato sauce was completely overcooked, but he ate it anyway because he was very hungry and didn't want to wait any longer. The pasta was so soft it broke on the palate. I had a first course with creamed peppers, but it was very bland (I generally eat very lightly at home). The octopus appetizer on fava bean puree was good, but the portion was really small, so you have to ask for bread baskets. I didn't like the chestnut dessert, but I should point out that personal taste may have played a big part. I had intended to report this at the cashier if asked how it went, but nothing happened. Too bad, never mind. I chose it to celebrate my birthday and had high expectations overall, but for now, I wouldn't recommend it. UPDATE: NO, the customer isn't always right. I've adjusted my "food" rating (from 1 to 2). In fact, the child's pasta was inedible (zero), the octopus was a 3, and the bland first course was a 2. A "2" rating is probably more likely. In any case, I don't think it's very elegant or polite to criticize using such terms. But reading your responses, even to other less-than-positive reviews, only presumption, sarcasm, annoyance, and arrogance emerge. You need to accept that perhaps something went wrong with some customers, instead of criticizing everything in a harsh tone as if it were unacceptable and out-of-touch reviews. I even thought about returning to change my mind, but it put me off. Good luck.

29/10/2025: Always in search for a good meal in every location I visit. PerBacco did not disappoint one bit. Located a bit off the main strip, this place still maintains a warm and cozy charm about it. The surprising highlight was the complimentary stater of olives fried in tomatoes. For appetisers, the grilled octopus is mandatory. Perfectly cooked, not chewy and the tips of the tentacles were lightly charred and crunchy. For mains, rely on the owner to recommend a seasonal dish as the menu is on rotation. For dessert, I had a seasonal dish of chestnut mousse and whipped ricotta with dark chocolate.

20/10/2025: We had a excellent lunch, the best seafood pasta ever for lunch. The service was excellent, and it was fun following the elder members of staff guiding the young ones. Thank you again!

18/09/2025: The pizza diavola was okay, and the 4 formaggi were delicious. The service was okay, but we've experienced much more courteous service in Italy. All in all, it was fine.

23/10/2025: Very good restaurant with simple but high-quality cuisine. Less than €20 for a main course, dessert, soft drink, and coffee: a very reasonable bill. Efficient service with a smile. You have to wait a little while to get a table, but it's worth it!

18/09/2025: The restaurant is located in a quiet area, and the interior is very spacious. Four of us came for lunch on a Saturday and, at the manager's suggestion (?), wanted to try the house specials. It was a perfect choice: I wasn't thrilled with the lamb ragù, but the rest of the food was exceptionally good, even though I'm not a fan of spices. The meat was delicious, and the various legume-based sauces paired perfectly with the stew. I didn't particularly appreciate the traditional bread (too spongy), the papaya/coconut/mango desserts, or the special coffee they have, the name of which I can't remember (spiced with ginger and cumin). The wild fennel bread, however, is worth it. Worth a try, the prices are very reasonable, especially considering it's in Bologna: €90, including drinks, for four of us. We ate a lot.

16/09/2025: A dinner that was a true journey to Africa! The flavors are authentic and rich, the dishes are carefully prepared and truly delicious. The atmosphere is warm, welcoming, and full of atmosphere, making you feel like you've been transported directly to the African continent. The staff is friendly and helpful. Highly recommended for those who want to discover new culinary traditions without leaving Bologna.

30/09/2025: After a long day of hiking, the Incisa Lodge was a welcome retreat. The owner was gracious, the rooms were clean, cozy & so comfortable. And the food! On my! Our only regret was having to leave early the next morning to continue our trek. We felt so welcomed and cared for. Thank you!

09/09/2025: I visited this refuge with my wife last week after a hike from the Cherz to the Pralongiá plateau, recommended by the owner of the property where we stayed. We were greeted by a very kind waitress who seated us in the dining room even though the refuge was officially closed that day and only open to guests. From the appetizers to the first and second courses, everything was truly excellent and top-quality, with incredible desserts and a vast selection of wines rarely found in mountain refuges. What struck me most, however, were the outdoor area, the terrace, the meticulously designed details inside the hut, as well as the excellent layout of the bathrooms on the ground floor, carefully thought out and designed to make the most of every available space. I will return this winter to speak directly with the owners, who unfortunately were not present at the property. Thanks for this pleasant meeting and a special greeting to the charming waitress, Paolo.
