20/06/2025: We stopped by this lovely cafe after visiting the nearby Palazzo Citterio, and it turned out to be the perfect place for a light bite in the afternoon. Highlights were the perfectly cooked arancini and a delightful salmon ravioli. And we enjoyed excellent service from the friendly crew. We'll be back!

01/07/2025: A great place to stay, lovely spacious room with a beautiful view. Just 5 minutes off the motorway so very accessible. Nothing was too much trouble for the team running it. We arrived too late to try the restaurant but it was very busy with what looked like locals, a really good sign.

29/06/2025: A magnificent restaurant with a terrace in a spectacular location in the heart of Bari Vecchia. The food was plentiful—we couldn't finish everything we ordered—and very good. The service was fantastic; one of the guests was dairy-intolerant, and they prepared a special dish for him. Claudio, our waiter, spoke Spanish and was very friendly.

14/07/2025: Supert service. Var fullt når vi kom, men det tok kun kort tid før vi fikk bord. Godt atmosfære både inne og ute blant vinrankene. Veldig raskt servering av drikke etter bestilling. Entrecôte og gulasj’n var helt ypperlig. Tar ikke kort betaling, men var fleksible med betaling.

Un gusto che si rifà a un tipico formaggio sardo , ciò che lo rende eccezionale è la consistenza cremosa e densa, un gusto pieno. Molto buono anche il gusto yogurt di pecora, un po’ meno il ricotta,abbamele e mandorle , troppo predominanti quest’ultime e non si sente troppo il miele. Nel complesso davvero ottimo

I was absolutely not expecting what I found: a true taste experience. As soon as I entered, I was greeted with a smile by Luca, who in addition to being an expert butcher, is also a perfect host. You can immediately see that he loves his job: the care in the service, the selection of meats, and that authentic passion that makes even the simplest moment of the day special. For lunch, a spectacular steak awaited me – cooked to perfection, tasty, tender, juicy. The kind that makes you forget that you are only there for a work break. It seemed to have come straight from a Sunday barbecue in the countryside, but with a level of quality and attention that are rarely found even in the most renowned restaurants. The place is simple, genuine, without frills: just how I like it. Here the protagonist is the meat, and nothing else is needed. What can I say? A true marvel. If you are in Lucca and want to eat well, authentically and with heart, stop by Luca alla Macelleria Pucci. Even just for a steak during your lunch break… it will remain in your memory.
