18/10/2025: We set out from the village of Parcines, a short distance from Merano. There's free parking. After about an hour, we admired the beautiful waterfall that bears the village's name. Continuing for another 40-45 minutes, we arrive at this typical South Tyrolean trattoria/farmhouse. The welcome was excellent, the food truly tasty, and the price was fair. We'll definitely be back!

17/09/2025: Due to the landlady's snippy manner, I can't recommend this restaurant. We considered getting up and leaving for a long time. There won't be a next time.
The food was OK, but not outstanding. There are better restaurants nearby for the price.
13/09/2025: We visited in July for an evening without knowing the place. It's a quaint place, and they seated us behind a glass window where we could enjoy a stunning view. We tried several dishes, including the risotto with grey cheese, and I must say they were truly delicious and very carefully presented. We returned before leaving.

02/11/2025: Really tasty food and the staff is friendly. I have cealic disease so getting something gluten free is sometimes complicated. The staff is well informed and i got grilled cheese and veggies, really, really good. All of my friends were satisfied with their choises. So if you make the trip around the mountain i do recommend to stop by and enjoy some good food.

05/11/2025: We've been living in Schenna for four years now, but only just managed to visit the new owners. It was well worth it! As befits a visit to such a centuries-old inn, we chose a table in the original, preserved 15th-century smokehouse, where, unfortunately, there's no longer an open fire. The food—venison medallions and sliced veal with grilled porcini mushrooms—was absolutely exquisite, as was the selection of drinks. Despite being full with several groups, we received excellent and friendly service throughout and were even treated to a complimentary limoncello at the end! We wish Thomas Schönweger and his team all the very best and will be back soon!
31/10/2025: A first-class, cozy, and stylishly furnished inn dating back to the 15th century. We dined there twice during our vacation and felt very comfortable. The service is excellent and attentive. Reservations are recommended. This inn offers fine dining, which should be taken into account. If you're looking for a special evening, this is the place to go. We highly recommend it.

23/09/2025: We were initially very skeptical about the menu, with its prominent images of fries and burgers; this isn't really our idea of a mountain hut/pasture. But then the food arrived. The spaghetti carbonara and the apple strudel with vanilla sauce that followed were amazing; it was simply so delicious! And then the bacon on the spaghetti; I've honestly never eaten such a delicious piece of bacon! Truly fantastic, I highly recommend this hut. The staff were also very friendly.
A little tip for the owners: Make the menu a bit more appealing, or rather, highlight the local dishes, including on the poster at the cable car station; otherwise, it looks more like a fast-food restaurant :-)

08/10/2025: Today we took a beautiful hike to the Tschigg Inn. The innkeeper prepared fresh apricot dumplings for us – an absolute dream! The view from up here is simply breathtaking, and the hospitality exceptional. If you're looking for peace, nature, and authentic cuisine, this is the place for you. We weren't disappointed and wholeheartedly recommend the inn!

14/10/2025: Excellent pullpork burger and equally good apple pie. This mountain hut is different from the others and the food is excellent. The staff is fast and friendly.
14/10/2025: Delicious burger with a fantastic view of the Antholz Valley. Very friendly staff. Pleasant walk along the forest road. There's a shortcut, but it's a bit steep, while the "normal" route is longer but very comfortable.
