27/12/2023: Maybe it's because it's at the top of a very tiring stretch, maybe it's because of the beautiful view it offers, maybe it's because the terrace was exposed to a beautiful sun, maybe it's because the Sacher torte was sublime... this little refuge is my all-time favorite , I left a piece of my heart there <3

29/11/2023: Set in an almost "lunar" basin, it enjoys breathtaking views of some of the most beautiful Sesto Dolomites. It is one of the refuges you find if you follow the trekking/circular tour that starts from Val Viscalina. Otherwise, to get there there are various more or less demanding paths that you can choose based on your level of training and athletic preparation... (In this regard, I recommend a detailed hiking map of lengths and travel times).

07/04/2024: Superb hotel in Sesto, 8 minutes by car from San Candido. Spacious rooms in a characteristic style, very beautiful. Five star service: high quality breakfast and dinner and very helpful and friendly staff. Free parking. We will be back!

11/02/2024: Arrived a little late due to skiing but very well received, spectacular location, easy to find with Google search if you are not local. Very good food, excellent and friendly service and spectacular view. Excellent care of the interiors, beautiful spacious, a little rustic mountain and a little modern. If I'm in the area I'll definitely stop in maybe at the right lunch time. I highly recommend you try it. I'm of the opinion that every place you stop to eat is an experience, and this was certainly a positive one.

17/03/2024: We arrived in the evening at this beautiful place and enjoyed a wonderful family evening with excellent dishes and truly excellent service. Fabulous ribs, fillet like butter, excellent dumplings, the most delicate and tasty strudel I have ever tasted. Well done🎖️🏆

04/04/2024: Remember that this is the hotel refuge of the family of the great Italian tennis player SINNER, his father, a chef, and his mother, a waitress, work here. Since Jannik has excelled at the top of the world rankings, this place has become almost a national monument and many go even just to take a photo, it will be very difficult to find a place unless you book well in advance. Now the father is no longer the restaurant chef because Jannik has chosen him as his personal chef, so now he travels with him to various tournaments around the world. On the photo on the site, of all the workers in the Fondovalle refuge, you will also find the photo of father HansPeter and mother Siglinde. Jannik seems to have grown up as a child, here, in Sesto, in this very hotel, while his parents worked.

31/03/2024: Siamo venuti il giorno di Pasqua e, fatta eccezione per qualche minuto di troppo di attesa (perfettamente comprensibile), abbiamo mangiato veramente bene. Tutti i piatti erano ottimi e con prezzi più che onesti.

22/01/2024: Da anni ormai frequentiamo queste spledide montagne dell' Alto Adige sia in inverno che in estate, e ogni vacanza non può mancare un visita per pranzo al rifugio Rudi. Personale squisito, allegro e disponibilissimo sempre con la battuta pronta, complimenti a tutto lo staff! Cibo di alto livello con porzioni abbondanti e curate, ogni volta è difficile scegliere cosa mangiare perché è tutto buono. Ci siamo sempre trovati benissimo e non vediamo l'ora di ritornare. Ps... Un saluto particolare a mamma e figlio che gestiscono tutto. Complimenti
