A very nice cable car (gondola lift on rails). Right at the mountain station, there's a lovely mountain hut for refreshments. Beautiful views of the Val Gardena valley and the surrounding mountains. Several hiking trails start at the station. You can also easily book just the ascent and then hike down to the valley.

One of the best hotels we've stayed in the Dolomites Hotel Grones truly exceeded our expectations and is definitely among the best places we've ever stayed in the Dolomites. Our room was extremely spacious and comfortable—plenty of room to relax after long days of exploring. The breakfast and dinner were both excellent, with delicious, high-quality food and great variety every day. The family hotel is spotlessly clean, and the service we received was simply impeccable. Every staff member we encountered was friendly, attentive, and made us feel genuinely welcome. It's the kind of place that makes you want to come back. Another huge plus is the parking—there's ample space available right on the ground floor of the hotel, which made it super convenient for us since we were traveling by car. The hotel is within walking distance of the town center and, more importantly, the cable cars that take you to Alpe di Siusi, Seceda, and the Funicolare Resciesa—three absolutely unmissable excursions in the area. Being able to walk to these lifts made our days so much easier and more enjoyable. We will definitely consider Hotel Grones a top choice when we return to the Dolomites. Highly recommended!

Fantastic hiking area with great views. The cable car isn't cheap, but it's worth it.

A very convenient way to reach a fabulous place. Once you reach the top, there are very easy trails that open up to fabulous views, with many streams along the way.

A unique means of transport. With two carriages operating alternately, you reach the summit in just a few minutes, where you can choose between two main routes. The view of the majestic setting is unique.

Wonderful. The view is amazing even on the way up, and then it's galactic at the top. Jedi would be thrilled.

I came at the end of May and used the summer pass, which was a great deal!

A very beautiful location and a lovely funicular railway. Would gladly return!

A funicular that you can take to the top of Resciesa Plateau. There are a couple of huts on top for you to get something to eat or drink as well as a restaurant right next to the funicular. Itcis 2402m long with a rise of 818m with a 25% grade. Open from 9am until 5pm in the winter months. Cost 32 euros for a round trip. Good views of Odie group, Sassolungo, Sella group, marmolada and Sciliar.

Convenient (but also expensive at 21 euros each way) to reach the summit of the mountain and go on beautiful treks.
