08/11/2025: We were craving a really good piece of meat and decided on the Winklerhof in Partschins. The farm was first mentioned in the 13th century. We were recommended a 1.1 kg T-bone steak, thankfully served with fried potatoes and vegetables instead of fries. And... we can only say, wow! For dessert, we had cinnamon mousse with plums. Absolutely recommended.

28/02/2026: One of my favorite places in South Tyrol. The speck platter and the roasted chestnuts are my highlight, along with sweet wine and homemade raspberry liqueur!

04/01/2026: A truly special place. Much of it is built into the rock. Very impressive. The view is magnificent. Parking is a bit limited. This visit will be unforgettable! The homemade raspberry jam is sensational.

The hospitality is exceptional – you feel warmly welcomed from the very first moment. The culinary experience was also a highlight: The food is outstanding, with a strong emphasis on regional and high-quality ingredients – every dish is a delight. The spa area is lovely, peaceful, and perfect for relaxation. A truly wonderful place with so much warmth – we'd love to come back!

01/05/2026: The perfect place to stop for a break after a hike! Down-to-earth, welcoming, and authentic. If you want to not only see South Tyrol but truly experience it, this is the place for you. After our hikes, the Gasthaus Birkenwald has become something of a regular haunt for us, and for good reason. We've been there many times and look forward to every visit. The food is exactly what you crave after a hike: honest South Tyrolean classics, full of flavor, without any unnecessary frills. And the prices? More than fair, almost unheard of these days. But what truly makes this place special is the owner. Warm, down-to-earth, and with a dry South Tyrolean sense of humor that's instantly contagious. He simply joins you, tells stories, cracks jokes (holding his sides with laughter), and suddenly it no longer feels like a restaurant visit, but like a really great stopover with friends. And then there's that moment that says it all: a complimentary schnapps. Just like that. It's precisely this genuine, unpretentious hospitality that makes all the difference. We were traveling as a couple and each time we left feeling relaxed, satisfied, and with a smile. Thank you so much for everything.

18/04/2026: Great hotel, service was impeccable, room was perfect, and food was delicious! We arrived and were immediately met outside the hotel where we were greeted and help with luggages were offered immediately. We felt really welcome. Room given to us was perfect, comfy bed, spacious room, and super clean! Finally, food was superb! Totally recommended! PS: there are quite a lot of hiking/walking treks around.

29/11/2025: A fantastic concept store with a tattoo parlor, barbershop, kitchen, and bar. Regular events and live music. Definitely worth a visit.

08/04/2026: We are regular guests at this lovely house! The hosts are incredibly friendly and the atmosphere is welcoming. Plus, they have delicious homemade cakes and ice cream – the whole house smells wonderful :)

31/03/2026: A run-down dive packed with card-playing pensioners, often with their dogs in the dining room. The menu consisted exclusively of pizzas. Service was only provided after persistent requests. P.S. Regarding your response: you must have mistaken us for someone else. After we sat down, we asked for the menu three times, then discovered that there were only pizzas, felt uncomfortable in the described environment, and got up and left. No conversation took place at any point. Of course, we respect your style of running the establishment and therefore won't be returning. However, we simply cannot recommend the concept of a clubhouse with privileges for regular customers.

12/04/2026: Super friendly staff, spacious and quiet rooms, lovely spa area, great breakfast, but not suitable for vegans. Vegan options at breakfast were only offered at an extra charge.

29/01/2026: I stayed at this hotel with my husband for a short vacation, and I have to say we had a great time. The room was warm, clean, and warm (given the winter months), and the wellness area was very nice and well-organized. There's a restaurant and pizzeria next door where you can eat well. The only downside: its location isn't the best, but you can get pretty much anywhere with your own car or public transportation! Recommended!
