A beautiful, historic venue on a central street in Merano. Aperitivo time is my favorite, as the sun sets right behind the mountains from that spot.

We visited Café Wandelhalle and were absolutely delighted. The location right on the banks of the Passer River is beautiful and offers a breathtaking view of the river and the surrounding landscape. Quiet, charming, and yet right in the heart of Merano – simply perfect. The ambiance has a nostalgic feel, reminiscent of the classic spa town atmosphere of bygone days. The outdoor seating area is particularly relaxing, allowing you to enjoy the lively scene along the promenade. The service was friendly, attentive, and warm. The drinks were beautifully presented and tasted delicious. It's an ideal spot for a relaxing break during a stroll or for a leisurely afternoon coffee. A traditional café with style, charm, and a superb location – we'll definitely be back.

After hiking the entire unique Tappeinerweg trail from top to bottom, it was a joy to reach the café by the historic arcade. The destination was now the reward for the long but beautiful walk. The friendly staff was immediately attentive. We enjoyed an Aperol Spritz, homemade carrot juice, and glasses of Vernatsch red wine with ginger. A heavenly stroll. Sitting by the mountain stream, listening to the babbling and the birdsong, it transported us to paradise with our eyes closed. Keep up the good work, because we'll be back.

This café is something truly special and holds a particular charm for my wife and me. It's small but exquisite, and away from the hustle and bustle. The service is consistently very friendly and helpful, always attentive to the customer's comfort and well-being. The light meals are delicious and perfect for a quick bite, satisfying a craving without having to forgo a proper dinner. It's wonderful that this café exists and manages to stand out from the competition. We will definitely return whenever we are in Merano.
