28/08/2024: Panoramic point over the Merano basin, beautiful.....

27/08/2024: Small, fine inn with a fantastic view from high above over the Adige Valley and Merano. A very nice innkeeper offers local dishes from a not completely overloaded menu. This is complemented by changing weekly dishes. Probably due to its location high on the hill and the access with numerous hairpin bends along the narrow road, the inn is not as crowded as most others in this region. This means you can usually come in without a reservation. For me an absolute must every time you visit this area!

03/09/2024: There is only pizza and a small salad. It's better to have a smaller selection of dishes, but so many ingenious variants of pizza including spelled are possible. I really think it's price-performance ratio or it couldn't be better. There is hot food even late. Unfortunately, parking is only possible a little further around the corner.

25/08/2024: This is the best pizza I have eaten in Merano. It comes from the wood oven. We had the one with gorgonzola and bacon, capricosa and the one with asparagus and rocket. The floor is super thin! You can't sit outside, so we took the pizzas with us We were also served nicely - 5 stars are justified

20/07/2024: Have now been here twice for a week each on a motorcycle vacation. Our favorite hotel! Excellent food that fills everyone up. Rooms, service and modern wellness and pool facilities leave nothing to be desired. Generally informal and very comfortably furnished but still modern and very clean. Here’s to many more years here! Of course, the panorama and the happy rabbits and deer in front of the hotel are particularly beautiful.

20/07/2024: Well located hotel, with excellent swimming pool, fitness area and sauna. Company canteen cuisine (poor), good buffet and breakfast, warm, very warm dining rooms. The staff, especially the mature waitresses, were rude. There is no direction of the structure. The Saslong rooms are on the 4th floor, without a lift and steep staircase, low attic..., but when the request for a deposit arrives they don't tell you, the only mention is on the website, written in small print. The other rooms are good.

24/08/2024: We had lunch yesterday and had a very good meal on the cozy terrace. The service was very friendly and also helped me choose a gluten-free dish. Unfortunately, the menu only had "vegan" and "vegetarian" marked on it. That surprised me for a star restaurant, as celiac disease is a food intolerance and leads to health problems, although what they specifically marked was just a way of life/eating I can now even find gluten-free dishes marked in alpine huts. The list of allergens is right at the back of the menu, but it's of no use if these symbols (indication of ingredients) are missing for the respective dishes. Someone probably has this “important” concept not understood??????I just find it sad and unfortunate

18/08/2024: Was there twice for dinner after a hike. Very nice family business, incredibly beautiful view, the food is very good and beautifully prepared, good value for money. Highly recommended: strawberry tiramisu… simply incredibly delicious!!!

06/08/2024: We went to Stallwies for the first time today with our friends from Switzerland and we were totally thrilled. Everyone was extremely friendly, the food was excellent, a fantastic location, the house was beautiful and everything was remarkably clean. We will be back definitely.

14/08/2024: Typical local restaurant. Offer of first courses, second courses and pizza, with availability of request for dishes of the day. Slightly unbalanced value for money, some dishes too expensive. Courteous service.

01/09/2024: We ate here 3 times during our vacation. It was always very tasty. The restaurant is located right in the center of Sand in Taufers. Has a beautiful Mediterranean covered outdoor area (unfortunately you can't reserve for outside). The staff is very friendly and quick. The only drawback is that the food (there were three of us) didn't come to the table at the same time. I was already halfway through my pizza when my wife's food arrived. This could be timed better. But otherwise everything was great, prices were reasonable, pizza was nice and thin, meat dishes were well fried, the rosemary pasta pan was very tasty. Definitely coming back on your next vacation.

13/08/2024: Imposing Odle chain, spectacular panorama, silence and respect for the wonder that nature shows. There is a nice playground for children and on the other side of the esplanade there are sunbeds and wooden benches for relaxing and admiring the view. We started from the Zannes car park, paths 36 - 35 - 36A, about 1 and a half hours

12/08/2024: Beautiful place with good food. It's a little expensive.

13/08/2024: Two weeks on pitch. Large pitches. Good services. Electricity to be paid separately, as indicated. Clean campsite with three well-stocked and possibly shaded areas for children. Super well-kept parks and a truly peaceful environment. Excellent view. Clean facilities. Great location. Uncomfortable and narrow environment to reach the indoor swimming pool. Very few indoor deckchairs and the cleanliness of the pool area needs to be reviewed. There is no outdoor swimming pool because the one indicated as adjacent, municipal, is far away even by bicycle. So never been able to use it. The convenience store is very poorly stocked. The restaurant is very nice. Smiling and helpful staff. However, the waiting times are endless. Almost 1 hour and a half for a pizza and a pasta dish.

03/08/2024: We spent our summer vacation here in July. The space wasn't as big as one would have expected, but it was still completely sufficient for us! The view was really nice and the campsite was generally quite small, but that didn't really bother us either. The sanitary facilities were fine and were cleaned daily. The dishwasher was free of charge. However, the WaMa is a bit overpriced for our taste. Additionally, you weren't allowed to use your own detergent. However, this is no reason to deduct a star. Something we could live with. The pizzeria has a good price-performance ratio and it was delicious. The employees were all very nice and always had a smile. The pool was quite small but perfectly acceptable considering the size of the campsite. Nice bike rides were possible and the area was very beautiful. Meran and Bolzano as well as Naturns can be reached quickly. In short, it was a great time! Thank you!

24/08/2024: It’s a very nice place on route from upper part of the valley to Meran. There is a picturesque path along a small artificial stream that leads almost to the restaurant. The hostess was very friendly and polite; „non-German“ service which we enjoyed a lot. There is also a beautiful view from the tables on the terrace

04/09/2024: Perhaps the best coffee in all of Merano. Top service, very good value for money and oat milk. The Hugo is also very tasty here. There are some vegan options including great cream cakes. Come back every year and are always thrilled.

29/08/2024: We spent a wonderful hiking holiday here for a week at the end of August 2024. A super nice hotel with a top 🔝👍🏻 price-performance ratio!!! Great location with a wonderful view of Schenna and the Meraner Land! 🤩⛰️ Excellent food (half board) with very friendly and courteous service throughout the hotel 👍🏻 The rooms are very tastefully furnished and always cleaned perfectly every day, as well as tip top 👍🏻 A big thank you to the entire Sunnwies team for a wonderful time in Schenna 🤗☀️🍀⛰️🚠⛰️☀️☀️☀️
