08/06/2026: We often stop at this rustic alpine hut during our hikes in the Salten region. The food and drinks are very good and relatively inexpensive. Just sitting there and relaxing with a cold drink is a little treat. We always enjoy coming back.

06/05/2026: A farmhouse with a panoramic view and a restaurant serving quality ingredients. A casual yet elegant place. Service was poor and inattentive, with a rushed, hurried attitude. They didn't offer much explanation or advice on what to order or what to order. They only served one wine by the glass, the winery, the provenance, or anything else unknown, only Cabernet. Beer wasn't even mentioned, but it was on tap or perhaps bottled. At the end of the meal, we were hoping they'd explain some sweets or desserts or grappas or something else, but they took our dishes away. Without a word, and after a 5-minute wait, we got up and went to pay, having lost our appetite. It doesn't take much to make a dinner unforgettable, for better or worse. A restaurant should never ignore its customers or rush them, or anything like that. It still deserves 3 stars for the quality of the ingredients and the location.

The ingredients are of the highest quality, and the care taken in preparation and presentation is evident. From the first course to dessert, every bite is a surprising and captivating experience. The service lives up to the setting: professional, attentive, and never intrusive. The staff offers expert advice, helping to make dinner even more enjoyable. It's now a regular stop when we come to the valley.

17/04/2026: We really enjoyed our last dinner here. We had the black Angus beef entrecote (perfectly cooked and had a lovely spiced pumpkin hummus and chorizo sauce which complemented the meat well) and the spaghetti alla chitarra (SO good). I'm not a huge dessert fan but my friends got some and they were too beautiful to eat but were tasty too. The service was great too.

03/06/2026: They were very friendly to hikers, offering free toilet access (though we still insisted on leaving a small tip). After climbing Monte Specie, we naturally ate here, and wow! The food was delicious and very affordable—a truly welcoming mountain cabin restaurant!

05/05/2026: We spent five days at the beautiful Parkhotel Holzner. It couldn't have been better. The view is unbeatable. Bolzano is just 15 minutes away. Hiking and biking trails start right at the hotel's doorstep. We had a wonderful suite with access to the garden. The staff and the food were first-class. We will definitely be back.

04/04/2026: We truly loved our stay at the Holzner. Every facet was thought through and executed exceptionally: the kids program, the adult activities ranging from the spa to wine tastings, the food and drinks in the dining room, bar, and 1908, the hotel suite, the hotel grounds and architecture, the hospitality of the staff, and everything else. We loved going on the family hike with Monika Holzner and the kids staff while the wine tasting with the sommeliers and Wolfgang Holzner was a wonderful evening. The attached restaurant 1908 had such creative and delicious dishes with exceptional wine pairings. Our kids loved doing arts and crafts, making pizza, dancing, and doing all sorts of other activities, as well as hanging out in the well designed indoor/outdoor heated pool, playgrounds, and indoor play areas. We felt welcomed like family and everything from the pre arrival preparations to the parting bottle of apple juice for our train ride was just so thoughtful. When our kids (5 and 3) struggled a bit with the more extended and later dinners than in the U.S., the dinner staff listened to us and adapted so we could all better enjoy the amazing food that was served there. Three course dinners each night plus a generous breakfast buffet- with each item prepared impeccably for both kids and adults. All of this in such a beautiful and scenic spot on Ritten mountain overlooking the dolomites. The Holzner exceeded our high expectations and we were honestly sad to leave. We are already considering when we might get to visit again. Do yourself a favor and book your next holiday at the Holzner.

27/05/2026: It's a restaurant at a great view point. However they have changed their menu recently and its disappointing that they don't carry a lot of local dishes anymore. Vegetarians don't have a lot of options here.

22/03/2026: Amazing place, step outside and you're on the slopes. The hotel has been renovated and is modern, with rooms, showers, and beds that make you want to stay put. The food is excellent; half-board includes breakfast, dinner, and a buffet snack from 4 to 6 pm in front of the bar. There's a heated pool with a powerful lateral hydromassage. The pool is about 15 meters long, which is enough for a few laps. Outside, there's a super hydromassage tub. There's also a gym with some equipment for those like me who never give up, even on vacation. Many types of massages are available, worth trying, at average prices.

14/03/2026: We spent a fabulous week at Hotel Lech da Sompunt. What we loved: super kind and helpful staff, great breakfast, cleanliness everywhere (rooms, lobby, dining spaces, spa), hotel location, spa was exceptional! Ski-in & out is an option indeed, but it is complicated to reach the main slopes. What could be improved is the parking area which was completely muddy. Overall, thank you very much, it was a lovely experience alltogether!

26/04/2026: A very cozy and welcoming atmosphere. Alexander and his wife cook with farm-fresh produce, wild herbs, and a whole lot of heart. We felt truly at home; unfortunately, we could only stay one evening, but we'll be back! A very lovely family!

12/01/2026: We always feel right at home at the Edelweiss Inn. We enjoy the family atmosphere and the fantastic cuisine. Our winter holiday, with challenging hikes, great downhill skiing on the Carezza, and cross-country skiing on the Seiser Alm, was a dream.
