27/06/2025: The food alone deserves 5 stars. Unfortunately, neither the service nor the ambiance are up to scratch. Dogs aren't allowed in the restaurant, except in an uncomfortable side area. The value for money is disastrous. We won't be dining there again. It's a shame for the chef.

12/06/2025: Discovered by chance and spontaneously. A must for gourmets in Lana, as the cuisine is worthy of a Michelin star. A competent service team works in an attractive ambiance, and the creative cuisine will delight everyone. Highly recommended!

25/02/2025: We walked the horseshoe tour and of course stayed overnight at the Fahnerscharte Hut! A dream! Kailash and his team are always extremely helpful and friendly. The food is incredibly tasty and in the evening you can choose from four different starters, four different main courses and two desserts in half board! We had spaghetti with five types of cheese as a starter, paneer as a main course (Indian and the cheese is made in-house), spinach dumplings on cabbage and apple strudel as a dessert. Every single course was a poem! The breakfast is also very rich, with lots of bread, honey, jam and cereals. Kailash and his team take great care of the guests and are always happy to provide information and chat. The self-created Fahnersscharten Spritz was also a hit. Price-performance is excellent!

10/02/2025: Rating has been adjusted because the hut team has apparently changed. Here is the old review: Hut great, location great, room good - Half board rather poor. Tip: to be on the safe side, take snacks from the previous station. A truly idyllic hut that also has renovated rooms. But it's best to eat something there before dinner - to really fill you up after a long tour. Other hikers pointed us out at other huts because we were walking the horseshoe clockwise. I have never eaten so sparingly in a hut, no matter how remote. Our half board for 60€: A sour soup with peas, lentils and lots of pods on the bottom - fits. Main course a single sausage with some sauerkraut or alternatively even three slices of cheese with coleslaw (other combination impossible). Dessert: a small bowl of applesauce. Main problem: Every morning, two slices of very thin bread with jam or Nutella. And some cereal. And even if the landlady is friendly, you will be looked at very disapprovingly if you even ask for a second coffee or more bread.

17/06/2025: After or during a hike at the end of the Gsies Valley, the Messner Hut is a great place to stop for a bite to eat. The view is truly wonderful in good weather. We were served salty snacks with our Aperol Spritz. The Kaiserschmarrn (sweet pancakes) was beautifully airy, and the apple strudel was wonderfully moist. The three employees are also very friendly and offer quick and smooth service. There's a changing table in the restroom, and there's a playground for older children in front of the hut. Card payments are also accepted. ❤️

09/06/2025: Very friendly waitresses, the apple strudel was excellent and very large for €4.50. A variety of comfortable seating options were available. The restrooms were gender-neutral but clean.

14/06/2025: We loved our stay at the Eggentaler! The food was exceptional, the room incredibly comfy, the sauna and pool absolute luxury, and Moritz and his team exceedingly warm and kind - we will definitley be coming back!

05/06/2025: The cottage macaroni is a delicious starter (large portion). We had the Pizza Rosi and Pizza Chef, both of which were also delicious.

05/03/2025: I was here with my ski group and had to wait over 45 minutes for my food, which was unheard of.

05/07/2025: We went there on a recommendation and were not disappointed! The pizza selection is spectacular – many unique creations. Plus, delicious drinks and truly amazing desserts. You can also stay overnight with your caravan/motorhome for €10. The owners and staff are very friendly and try to accommodate all requests. We will definitely stop by again during our vacation.

03/07/2025: Now that we've already reviewed the campsite, we'd like to review the pizzeria itself. We stayed here twice with our camper in June 2025 and had excellent meals both times. We sat on the lovely terrace. Drinks ordered were served promptly (the house wine is very good!). The menu has a large selection, including many interesting creations. My absolute favorite is the Tirolese pizza, but all the other pizzas we ordered were also very tasty. The "small" salad we ordered as an extra was also very good. The manager, the owner, and the waitress were super nice and more than attentive. I highly recommend stopping here.

20/06/2025: Very nice ambiance. The starter and bread were excellent. The three of us ordered the steak tartare for our main course. Unfortunately, it tasted very strongly of egg yolk, so we only ate two-thirds of our plates. The staff's reaction was very disappointing. I mentioned the strong egg taste, but it was ignored. Since we left a lot of food, we would have expected a different reaction from a restaurant with such a reputation. Our mistake was not complaining about the food immediately and sending it back. We're probably too polite for that... We had to pour ourselves the wine, and the bottle of water was taken away, even though it wasn't completely empty. We must have not had the best day.

20/06/2025: We came here for dinner on our first night in Bolzano. The best memories! There was delicious wine, great food, great service. I would love to go back to this beautiful restaurant!

09/07/2025: Great Stake House. I've never eaten better steak. So tender, it melts in your mouth. The ribs, sweet potato fries, and the pesto-crusted steak are highly recommended. The homemade bread is also great, with different spreads each time. The restaurant has been renovated and is beautifully modern and stylishly decorated. Great atmosphere! We always enjoy coming back for a cozy evening! The price of some dishes is a bit high.

20/06/2025: Veal burger overcooked and came w sauce that ruined the taste. Local dumplings were bread balls with tiny pieces bacon, spinach etc. not dumpling like at all. Service great Amelia and Naomi were wonderful!!

25/05/2025: Clean hotel, friendly managers. Too bad about the bathroom in the room, obviously old-fashioned, with a sink that was definitely too small. Restaurant… we probably chose the wrong dish. We'll try again with some other dishes
