12/06/2025: After a hike, we stopped off the beaten track for coffee and apple strudel, and we didn't regret it.
Great service, delicious apple strudel with vanilla ice cream and/or whipped cream, and a beautiful view. What more could you want after a hike?
26/05/2025: A very nice family-run hotel with friendly owners, a wonderful wellness area with an outdoor pool and stunning views of the mountains. Comfortable rooms. Excellent cuisine and friendly, attentive service. And the South Tyrol Guest Card is included, allowing you to explore South Tyrol in a relaxed manner by bus and train—absolutely fantastic.

10/06/2025: Very friendly and accommodating! The cable car usually runs every 30 minutes, but if there are several guests waiting, it runs in between. Up there, there are beautiful hiking opportunities for all levels.

14/06/2025: We celebrated our wedding at this property and everything was perfect. Abundant and tasty aperitif, the whole menu was delicious. The service was very attentive. The owners were very helpful and flexible for our requests.
We then stayed to sleep in one of their suites, cared for down to the smallest detail and with every possible comfort. In the morning we woke up to a good and rich breakfast buffet.
14/06/2025: Great food, great wine pairing, great service. We'll be back anytime we're in the area.

31/05/2025: We spent wonderful days at the Hotel Seehof. Everything was just perfect. The friendliness, the pleasant conversations, the food, the wellness area, the beautiful room with a fantastic view, helped us enjoy this break with all our senses. Thank you, dear Ellemunter family, for this experience. We'll see you again in September and we're already looking forward to it.
08/04/2025: We were in the hotel with a group of 20 people (25-29.9.24). I had a room with a balcony and a lake view... just great.
The menu consisted of 5 courses... praise to the kitchen. The breakfast also left nothing to be desired. Great service and very friendly. The evenings at the bar were also nice.
The only thing is the towels, they could really be a bit softer. But that's complaining at a high level.

27/05/2025: The hotel is located directly on the Marlinger Waalweg (Waalweg). The food is excellent, and the entire staff is very friendly and accommodating. We always enjoy returning to the Waldschenke.
18/05/2025: We vacationed here as a family and had a truly wonderful time. The hosts are incredibly friendly, the service is excellent, and the food is delicious.

The only problem is the big guy who I think is the owner/cook.
No form of greeting in the phone call to book (in which I specified name and time 3-4 times).
No form of greeting when he called me to find out where we were (he had written down the time of the reservation incorrectly).
No form of greeting when we arrived, not even after I purposely said "Good morning" three times.
03/06/2025: Unfortunately, I can't give it a good review. We made a reservation by phone about two weeks ago because we were on vacation in Toblach. The reservation was then confirmed by phone. Today, at 7 p.m., we found ourselves standing in front of a locked door with a "Closed Day" sign.
The restaurant's website also stated "Open."

Very kind and helpful staff, only flaw is the volume of the music a little too high inside..but highly recommended for those who want gluten-free pizza (and not) in Ortisei!!

20/05/2025: I love the overall feel of this place. It has a cozy, welcoming atmosphere. The decor is simple but warm, and it gives off a very local, down-to-earth vibe. The food reflects that too—everything is handmade with care. To my knowledge, it’s one of the only bakery in the area that still bakes fresh in the historic part of the city, and you can absolutely taste the difference.

17/06/2025: Ice cream is, of course, a must on vacation. It tasted okay, somewhat neutral. The caramel pieces in the caramel cup were rock-hard, which somewhat spoiled the experience.
Our server was very, very nice! It was lovely.

11/06/2025: We visited the Augustiner Brewery when we were in Salzburg and were so excited to see one when we were in Merana. The beer was just as cold and great tasting and the service here was outstanding. So outstanding that we came back a second night. Thomas was our waiter both nights. We so enjoyed him during our visits.
We highly recommend this establishment!
