04/11/2025: One of the most beautiful, rustic, and fun Törggelen taverns (run by Christian and his father) we've ever visited. The food was very good, as was the wine.

15/02/2026: Update 2026: Just look at the pictures! Reservations are mandatory on Valentine's Day: 2025 As we have for many years, we went to Durnwalder for Valentine's Day. They have a special menu for it. In short: Outstanding quality, outstanding taste, outstanding presentation, and a super fair price. Together with the wine pairing, it was another fantastic evening this year!

14/02/2026: If the service had matched the quality of the food, the review would have been decidedly different. Upon our arrival, we weren't greeted immediately, and only received attention after entering the dining room. The food, however, was perfect and impeccable. During the height of service, however, it was unpleasant to notice that one of the two waitresses, apparently the manager, sat at the table chatting with some customers while others were waiting, leaving her colleague to manage the dining room alone. The value for money is good, but the service certainly could be improved.

16/12/2025: We visited for the second time today and were once again surprised by the excellent cuisine. The first time we had a superb venison ragout, and today we enjoyed chicken roulade with a mascarpone filling with pistachios and a chard filling with celery and carrot purée. Simply divine. In my opinion, this restaurant is a hidden gem in Lana. Not to mention the magnificent view from the terrace over Lana/Merano and into the Passeier Valley. We are very sorry that we won't be able to experience the Törggelenk-Keller in two weeks during the so-called "fifth season of Tyrol," as we have to leave already. We will definitely be back. Many thanks to the Rafflerhof team for the wonderful hospitality. Best of luck! You deserve to be highlighted here, even if getting to your location isn't easy.

01/11/2025: In my opinion, one of the best Törggelen experiences, high-quality ingredients, cooked to perfection! The owners are very good! The cellar is traditional, very beautiful and well-kept! The summer garden is also beautiful with a spectacular view! Well done!

04/11/2025: The Büllejoch Hut is located at approximately 2,500 meters above sea level. Beautifully nestled among the Oberbachern peaks. The Tre Cime di Lavaredo (Three Peaks) are no longer visible from here, but in about 1.5 hours you can hike along the base of the Paternkofel, past the Dreizinnenhütte (Three Peaks Hut), and enjoy the view. It's rarely quiet here. The trail from the Fischlein Valley comes via the Zigsmondi Hut, where you can see the impressive sundial (consisting of several peaks that are perfectly aligned with the sun at specific times). You can stay overnight at the hut; we only stopped briefly for drinks and to use the restroom. The people there are incredibly friendly and knowledgeable. My wife had a headache, and the hut owner explained the best routes down to me. The dining room is very small inside; on cold days, you have to be lucky to get in. I can't say anything about the rooms, as we didn't stay overnight, so I'll just give it five points overall; what's there to complain about with dormitory-style accommodation?

05/03/2026: I went cross-country skiing from San Vigilio and when I was on the verge of dying of thirst and hunger, this magical place appeared. I wanted to have something to eat, a beautiful lady brought me a menu, but unfortunately I don't know foreign languages ​​and her eyesight is bad so I complained in Czech that you will have to read this to me, beautiful lady, and the lady read it to me in Slovak. That was amazing! The food was great, thank you very much again.

Vives impresses with its rustic, wood-dominated interior, creating a cozy yet inviting atmosphere. The restaurant's cuisine brings modern touches to the plate. The focus is clearly on the flavor of each individual ingredient – ​​no frills, no unnecessary distractions. Instead, high-quality ingredients and precise craftsmanship take center stage. The spaghetti is cooked perfectly al dente, supported by a wonderfully intense shellfish essence that brings out the flavor beautifully, with elegant clarity. The venison saddle is tender and aromatic. The meal concludes with a chocolate dream that perfectly captures the essence of the day's skiing and the surrounding mountain scenery. The service is equally impressive: friendly, attentive, and courteous. You immediately sense that a well-coordinated team works together here – both in the front of house and in the kitchen. The personal conversation with the chef was particularly enjoyable. He boasts an impressive resume, having learned and developed his style in outstanding kitchens. A clear recommendation for anyone who appreciates excellent craftsmanship and authentic flavor. Even a trip from the surrounding area is definitely worthwhile.

04/03/2026: This is my second time dining at this restaurant. It's a traditional setting, respecting seasonal produce and showcasing local produce. The dishes are harmonious and meticulously crafted, bursting with flavor. The portions are generous, allowing you to try other dishes without feeling overwhelmed. The staff are professional and very friendly. Renis, with her smile, told us the story of the wine we ordered. She's incredibly knowledgeable, as was the other woman who served us. What I appreciated most about this experience was that Chef Daniele came over to ask us how we enjoyed our dinner and chatted with us. We really appreciated it, something you only see in Michelin-starred restaurants these days. We'll definitely be back and will definitely recommend it to others.

10/11/2025: We were here in November and the hiking weather was absolutely gorgeous. At only €40 per night in winter, it's unbeatable. Showers and toilets are completely separate (we find that much more hygienic), and each toilet and shower is a fully enclosed individual cubicle – fantastic! Plus, everything is very warm and spacious. The dishwashing area, washing machines, etc., are top-notch. We especially appreciate the camper cleaning service. It's perfect if you're traveling with a dog, as there's a dog walking path right behind the campsite. Everyone is incredibly relaxed and welcoming. The village with restaurants and supermarkets is easily accessible on foot. Hiking trails, bike paths, and a cable car are right on the campsite. Simply perfect, and we'll definitely be back! 🙏🧡

04/11/2025: A well-maintained campsite on the Adige River, laid out in terraces. We didn't find the proximity to the road bothersome, but we did notice that the entire site is unlit at night. This significantly increases the risk of accidents. The swimming pool is rather small, so we didn't use it, but it looked very clean, and the new sanitary facilities are also kept clean. The proximity to the bus and train is excellent, making it easy to explore the surrounding area with the South Tyrol Card; however, the cable car to St. Martin im Kofel is not included.

30/01/2026: We were in Merano to visit the Flower Festival and had lunch at this typical Tyrolean restaurant. We enjoyed typical South Tyrolean dishes, and the beers were fantastic. There are two floors for both lunch and dinner. The restaurant has a well-stocked bar. Reservations are recommended, as the restaurant is very popular and popular. It is located right in the historic center of the city under the famous historic arcades. The staff was very courteous and helpful in accommodating all our special requests.
