27/10/2025: The hotel is very clean but a bit dated. Even in the fall, you can relax in the outdoor pool (34-37 degrees Celsius) with a whirlpool. Inside, there's a normal-temperature pool with a countercurrent jet and a whirlpool with warm water. The beautiful outdoor pool is also very nice in the summer. We didn't use the sauna, but the nude area looks very nice. Overall, it was very good, the price-performance ratio was good, and the staff was very friendly.

12/03/2026: A restaurant nestled in a stunning natural setting, with high-quality architecture and design. The service was pleasant, but didn't live up to the elegance and expectations created by the setting. The menu is minimal, and the recommended dishes were mediocre. The choice of fish was particularly disappointing: both the ingredients accompanying it and the cooking were poorly executed and decidedly unsatisfactory.

27/10/2025: Every visit to the funny crocodile is an experience! The atmosphere alone is special. Peter's service is personal and makes you feel right at home. The menu is small but delicious, and Stefan cooks the best lasagna ever (but he's not the only one ☺️). A must-visit on any holiday in Kaltern!

15/10/2025: During our vacation in South Tyrol, we found this small restaurant on Goldgasse in Kaltern. We were very pleasantly surprised by the food: tortellini filled with porcini mushrooms and truffle foam, and very well-filled herb pasta. We sat across from the restaurant in a small garden with only five tables. It was incredibly cozy and elegantly set, and the weather was perfect on October 15th. A dream, with very friendly service. Thank you, it was a very nice lunch.

03/11/2025: Centrally located hotel with a beautiful view and everything within easy reach, including a free bus stop with the pass for touring South Tyrol. The staff and the owner are friendly, warm, and efficient. The cuisine is excellent, and the restaurant is always busy. Everything is tastefully decorated, as are the rooms. I stayed there on half-board from October 29th to November 2nd, and everything met my expectations. I can't wait to return.

02/11/2025: Great pizza with stunning views! We went there on a tuesday evening after a really long drive, we were welcomed by a really kind waitress and got a table outside. The pizza we had was probably one of the best pizzas i’ve had yet, you get chili oil, vinegar and salt/pepper on the table with you. The personell was really friendly and nice coming back multiple times asking if everything is fine. We had the creme brûlée as desert, definitely nailed the experience in with that one! Really creamy nice custard and the sugar on top was perfectly torched, you get a strawberry on top of it and a mint leaf for contrast, was really nice. My only complaints would be that the knives weren’t sharp enough to consistently cut the pizza without any problems, and that the chili oil bottle had a leak on top so it’d pour out way more than it should’ve, on top of that there were kids playing outside on the trampoline being fairly loud, but that was expected when taking a seat outside. But the views definitely make you forget those 2 things, would definitely recommend eating there! :) Bathrooms were clean and sanitary too!

The owner is approachable, knowledgeable about wines, and an excellent cocktail server. The staff is helpful, friendly, and very courteous. Definitely worth a try.
