Rifugio Pederù In Marebbe

Fabulous place to start or end your walk. 5 mins from bus stop

Stayed here as our first night on AV1 after departing from Lago di Braies at 9am. Was a very manage first day with just the last 750m being tricky do to steep slope of the road. The Rifugio was fantastic with excellent food and drink, friendly staff and beautiful views

I went cross-country skiing from San Vigilio and when I was on the verge of dying of thirst and hunger, this magical place appeared. I wanted to have something to eat, a beautiful lady brought me a menu, but unfortunately I don't know foreign languages ​​and her eyesight is bad so I complained in Czech that you will have to read this to me, beautiful lady, and the lady read it to me in Slovak. That was amazing! The food was great, thank you very much again.

I didn't use the room because I was out skiing and hiking. The location was absolutely stunning! From there (1542 m), it was almost exactly 520 meters uphill to 2062 m. A distance of about 6.2 km! And then back down again. Challengingly beautiful!

Great destination with excellent cross-country ski trails, very hospitable and delicious food.
