01/02/2026: We dined at this restaurant one evening during our ski holiday. Even when I made my reservation over the phone, I was struck by the courtesy and gratitude of the person on the other end. The dinner was spectacular. High-quality ingredients. If you truly want to eat typical Val Gardena cuisine, I highly recommend this restaurant. The gnocchi were spectacular, as were the pappardelle with venison ragù, which was also top-notch. But for us, the venison medallions with polenta and sauerkraut were the standout! The portions were definitely more than adequate, even a little generous (but don't change them!!). I absolutely have to give a huge shout-out to Mr. Pietro, who served us impeccably and was incredibly kind and also very, very friendly. We will return to this restaurant every time we return to Selva di Val Gardena. We hope to see you in the summer! Hugs from Rome! ❤️

15/02/2026: The Patriarch restaurant in Tirol has been renovated in recent years and has developed very well. In winter, it's practically the only place open in Dorf Tirol. In summer, they regularly have steak weeks, which are highly recommended. The staff is very friendly. Good value for money.

13/02/2026: The price-performance ratio is unacceptable. Unfortunately, it's fish week. The fish was overcooked, and the sauce was probably from a can. The pasta with tomato sauce wasn't particularly good either. The sauce is likely bought in and not made from scratch. The pasta itself is probably from a cheap brand, likely Barilla. If I can cook better at home than I can eat here in a restaurant, it's simply a disappointment, especially considering the high price.

15/03/2026: RESTAURANT Superb Valentine's Day dinner! Two of the dishes we chose were off-menu: 10/10, the duck was sublime! Price around €60 per person with an appetizer, first/second course, and a bottle of wine for two.

11/03/2026: We stayed at the hotel for one night and were completely satisfied; we couldn't find anything to complain about. The view is simply magnificent. Sleeping at that altitude is a bit of a challenge 😅, but you know that beforehand. Therefore, we give it 5 stars. Many thanks to the whole team!

19/02/2026: Hotel at an altitude of about 3200m with half board and 3 course menu. Room for 3 people at a friendly price with a beautiful view of the valley with sauna, bar and common room where you can relax and have fun after a day of skiing.

06/03/2026: We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Hotel Col Alto. The location is fantastic, and the buses to get you to/from the ski lifts were quick and efficient. The pool and saunas were clean, and perfect relaxing environments after a long day of skiing. We especially loved the breakfast buffet, complete with a ton of gluten free options. The rooms are a little dated, but that's so easy to look past with all of the other great things this hotel has to offer. We would no doubt stay here again. The ski rental shop next door gives you a great discount if you mention you are staying at Hotel Col Alto as well!

05/03/2026: We have been regular guests for 10 years and appreciate the hotel for its location and amenities. The Alpine lodge style is beautifully executed, and we feel very comfortable in the hotel's atmosphere. The bar is very inviting, and the restaurant is also nicely furnished and has plenty of natural light, which we appreciate at breakfast. The breakfast buffet is first-class; it fully met our expectations, with everything fresh and attractively presented. The service in the bar was very attentive, but unfortunately, the service in the restaurant wasn't as good as in previous years. We missed having expert wine advice; we would have liked more assistance with our selection and would have ordered more. The spa area is scheduled for renovation this year, and we are curious to see what it will look like next season. The morning shuttle to the ski lift ran smoothly without long waits, and in the late afternoon, we were able to ski right back to the hotel from Col Alto. There is a ski service right next to the hotel where skis can be dropped off in the afternoon and picked up the following morning from 8:30 a.m. onwards. All in all, we enjoyed the hotel very much and will be back next year.

18/03/2026: Chalet restaurant in a superb location at the foot of the Sassongher mountain on the Colfosco estate. It boasts a beautiful, large, and perfectly oriented terrace offering a splendid 300-degree view. The food is excellent and delicious.

13/03/2026: We had lunch at the Lodenwirt Restaurant and felt very comfortable there from the moment we arrived. Although the restaurant was quite busy at that time, we were served surprisingly quickly. The service was exceptionally friendly, attentive, and professional. You can immediately tell that hospitality is a top priority here. We were particularly impressed with the pizza. The dough was baked to perfection – beautifully crispy yet pleasantly light. The toppings were also of very high quality and perfectly balanced in flavor. Overall, a truly excellent pizza that we would order again in a heartbeat. We were also very impressed by the wide selection of dishes. In addition to pizza, there are many other options, including regional South Tyrolean specialties as well as various Mediterranean and Italian dishes. This means there's something for everyone on the menu. The ambiance also contributes to the positive overall impression. The restaurant feels cozy, well-maintained, and typically South Tyrolean, making you feel right at home and happy to linger a little longer. All in all, it was a very pleasant visit with excellent food and superb service. We highly recommend the Lodenwirt and will definitely be back.

09/02/2026: We booked an overnight stay at the Lodenwirt on our way to Kronplatz. The booking process and all arrangements for our group of seven were absolutely seamless and straightforward. The rooms were excellent – ​​clean, comfortable, and very well-maintained. In the evening, we enjoyed some delicious pizza. Overall, everyone in our group was very satisfied. We would gladly return and can definitely recommend the Lodenwirt!

23/10/2025: Very tasty, even with a vegan selection! The pizzas are excellent, and I also recommend the "Vegan Smash" (burger with fries). Good value for money, and the service too! We were there two days in a row and would love to come back next time we're in the area!

05/02/2026: We ate here three times during our week-long vacation. All the dishes were excellent (tagliata, pasta with venison ragout, spare ribs, etc.). The service was very attentive and friendly. We especially appreciated the chef's flexibility regarding specially prepared vegan dishes. The "ravioli with celery and mushroom filling" was also a big hit with the non-vegans.

05/02/2026: Delicious food. Finger-licking ribs, delicious lasagna, authentic Italian style, and excellent pizza. The house wine was excellent. Great service, great atmosphere. Luckily, they don't charge extra. I highly recommend it, and we're going again today.

12/12/2025: I stayed at this hotel and it exceeded all my expectations. Beautiful location, welcoming and elegant while retaining its traditional features, yet modern. Beautiful rooms, spacious and welcoming, with attention to every detail. A full breakfast catered to every need, with authentic products. Friendly and attentive staff. The spa is available with a fantastic heated outdoor pool. I highly recommend it.
