Sometimes making a choice in direction is the right thing to do!
It feels like being at the Ikea in San Candido, in a context where Ikea
is the last thing you expect.
The same attention paid to the selection of items for sale isn't applied to the quality of the food.
A plate of fusilli with zucchini and speck for €16, ordered and served in 4 minutes, can't be synonymous with quality!

11/11/2025: One of the best staff i ever met in the hotels all over the world. Amazing, very big rooms with every detail perfected. Great spa with in and outdoor pool, lots of saunas and other nice things. And creme de la creme - dinner included, but not ordinary dinner, thst was perfect expirience. I will be back for 1000% absolutely love this place!

24/08/2025: We discovered this wonderful Maso by chance after a pleasant hike. Breathtaking views and rejuvenating silence. Mrs. Annamaria, although she only receives guests by reservation, still accommodated us, serving us speck, cheese, and strudel. Everything was excellent, homemade; in short, a timeless place, the authentic mountain experience we were looking for. We booked the following Saturday to try the Ladin dinner (ravioli, tutres, goulash, polenta with chanterelles and sausage...). What can I say, it was superb, it felt like home. The atmosphere was comfortable and traditional. Mrs. Annamaria was friendly and helpful, and kindly gave me the recipe for the strudel, which we enjoyed at the end of dinner. We will definitely be back.
19/08/2025: A typical Ladin dinner just as we were hoping for, an almost hidden Maso, delicious home cooking, friendliness and kindness, Highly recommended!

29/09/2025: We stopped here for a break during our hike. There's a sign at the bottom of the path indicating a restroom.
We would have liked to have a drink, but since our first stop was the restroom, the waiter rudely informed us that it was for guests only. Given the atmosphere, we decided to forgo our beer and went to the next establishment. Therefore, I can't comment on the quality of the food and drinks.
A little suggestion: Please add this information directly to the sign.

01/01/2026: We regularly spend New Year's Eve in Burgeis and always at Restaurant Gerda. We love it there! The food is excellent and the service is very friendly and perfect! Our New Year's Eve menu yesterday was also perfect! Many thanks to the entire team, whom we are always happy to see again!

19/12/2025: I spent a few days in Valdaora and often found myself hanging out at this bar in the evenings. The service from the curly-haired bartender was excellent, friendly and professional. Recommended.
09/10/2025: One of the cheapest and honest drinks I’ve ever been too. 5€ for Campari and Aperol, and 2€ house wines. They are also very generous. A must place to visit! I’m a fan.

08/10/2025: Charging €6.40 for a tiny portion of white rice is simply outrageous. The service was rude and reacted irritably to any questions. Furthermore, the cheese on my dish was moldy, which is absolutely unacceptable!
On top of that, we had to wait far too long, even though it was barely busy. Overall, very poor value for money – I certainly won't be back.

08/12/2025: A five-minute drive from Cardano takes you to the farm with a large parking lot. For winter or colder weather, there's a lovely wood-lined stube. In summer, you can sit outside under a pergola. Below the dining room, there's also a bocce court, known as "Zoni." The food is very good. The service is fast, and everyone is very friendly. I recommend the house wine because it's very good, even if it's simple.
11/10/2025: Unpretentious, absolutely authentic, and far off the beaten track! Exactly what you'd expect if you're looking for a relaxing stay with maximum comfort and warm hospitality!
