14/06/2026: The food was of very high quality. Unfortunately, the service didn't quite live up to the same standard. It's also worth noting that the 'all you can eat' offer is now limited to a maximum of eight dishes. Overall, it's a real shame, as this restaurant used to be one of our go-to spots. These days, the price-performance ratio is no longer competitive compared to other restaurants in the area.

20/05/2026: The Kastelatz Keller is run by a brother and sister!
We were there this evening and had an excellent venison goulash with wild herb dumplings and a trio of dumplings!
Both were perfect, just like Grandma used to make! The older brother cooks and the younger sister serves! She does a fantastic job! She's very friendly and incredibly attentive!
All in all, a top-notch restaurant! I hope they keep it up for a long time!
18/05/2026: The menu is concise, but the food is good. The daily special was venison goulash, absolutely fantastic.
The young staff is on the ball! And the waitress is a real character, quick-witted and witty 😘
We'll be back.

17/12/2025: 1908 is one of those places that truly stays with you. Dinner kicked off with an actual bite of a lemon leaf from the tree on our table and we immediately understood this won’t be an ordinary dinner. Soulful and savory dishes each centered on a surprise element, from the Alto Adige wagyu to the truly memorable lemon thyme raviolo. The “walk” through Aspinger’s garden for the vegetable dish is pure poetry. Warm service, intimate atmosphere, each course came with its own carefully chosen glass of wine (the Abendrot niedermayr was the one that stayed with me and surprised me the most)

19/05/2026: I managed to get a room at short notice for one night. It was in the annex, which was perfectly fine. I'd overlooked it when booking. They readily refunded me €50 for the half-board I had booked but couldn't use – very accommodating. The breakfast buffet was extensive with attentive service. My only criticism is that the small reception area can get congested when several guests are arriving or departing at the same time. But we weren't exactly in a hurry.

17/10/2025: Delicious fried noodles. We didn't expect anything special, but we got something delicious. We even had a delicious fresh dessert, and that didn't disappoint. The affogato was also great. The Ferdy was only a last resort because we needed to kill time and were hungry, but we were very satisfied, including with the friendliness of the service! 5 stars from us👍

Some of the ice cream tastes artificial.
The rice cakes are rather cheap.

13/04/2026: Soooo delicious! We had pizza and fries and it was absolutely scrumptious 🙃 There's a great playground next door. There's something for everyone here and it's perfect for a stopover.
