13/10/2025: Excellent pizza, attentive service. We'll be back!

25/08/2025: I found it good for a quick pizza, but it had a few downsides that I must admit were quite annoying. We're in Italy, and I think all the staff should be able to speak at least some Italian. Also, we asked for a jug of water (€2.50) and were brought a bottle of water (€6.50), which was opened and poured without giving us time to point it out. It's not €4 that weighs heavily, but the feeling of being ripped off put a damper on the evening. See a tourist and rip him off? Not a very good policy.

28/06/2026: It just can't be that they accept Pluxee Italia but they have this one untrained cashier that keeps asking me for the card but I only have the app and the other cashier the app works please train your new cashier

14/06/2026: The food was of very high quality. Unfortunately, the service didn't quite live up to the same standard. It's also worth noting that the 'all you can eat' offer is now limited to a maximum of eight dishes. Overall, it's a real shame, as this restaurant used to be one of our go-to spots. These days, the price-performance ratio is no longer competitive compared to other restaurants in the area.

04/06/2026: Unfortunately, I received the wrong flavor of ice cream. Some of the ice cream tastes artificial. The rice cakes are rather cheap.

04/01/2026: We went to Brixen specifically to stay at this hotel, and to dine in its Michelin starred restaurant. While we were not overall disappointed, we would have expected a little bit better. This historic establishment has a marvelous location and the building itself is quite like a museum when it comes to history, arts and furnishing. We stayed in the main building, in standard rooms. The rooms are clean, but really basic. The bathrooms were very small and showed some wear and tear. Very few amenities (no shampoo, nor conditioner, just shower gel and body lotion). The Spa is well advertised on their website and I was expecting something a bit better. The sauna was small, with little information about the "dress code" (some people were nude, others weren't), the wet sauna was turned off. I was told there is water available, and I am sure there is, but I couldn't find it. Most spas also offer herbal teas, which was not the case here. The pool area with loungers is nice. The pool is lightly heated. I disliked the fitness room. It is extremely small. I gather it might have been a cellar as the ceilings are very low and vaulted - which doesn't make it for it being airy enough to feel confortable. There is only a tredmill, a bike, a bench and a few dumbells. Regardless: you wouldn't want to exercise heavily in that space. No water in the fitness room - no towels either. The best part of the experience is the breakfast buffet and the overall service. Breakfst offers a bounty of options - both sweet and savory- of outstanding quality. Service is impeccable. I think you pay for the history, the location and the (past) reputation of the establishment. I have been in 4 stars (this is a 4 stars + according to their ad) that provided a more comfortable stay, better facilities for a lower price. I understand that might not be the case in Brixen, but some standards should be quite universal. That being said, I don't regret going there.

20/12/2025: ​The communication here is extremely poor. They respond instantly to inquiries that benefit them, but completely ignore messages regarding issues or refund requests. I was told they were too busy with emails to reply to my urgent request, yet they replied within minutes only after I mentioned leaving a review. Highly unprofessional and unreliable service.

12/05/2026: Opened just under two years ago, it's clearly trying to do fusion with a bit more thought than usual. It's not just neon, mirrors, and generic Asian fare served with two chopsticks to give you a sense of internationality. When it comes to sushi, boats, and rolls, it focuses heavily on presentation: colors, layers, dry ice, fresh petals, a cloud effect. A bit theatrical, yes, but it's effective. It doesn't feel like an empty gimmick: it accompanies thoughtful and well-constructed dishes, with a desire to do something more than just the usual tray. The hot dishes are more substantial and very enjoyable. Here, you can feel the attention to flavor, to umami, to those flavors between Chinese and Southeast Asian cuisine that work because they're direct, warm, and satisfying. I liked the Yaki Udon for this: simple, balanced, and ready to be seasoned to your taste. A smart choice, because sometimes it's nice not to be dominated by the sauce. The space is small but well-finished: neon, mirrored surfaces, a modern fusion atmosphere. Not huge, but welcoming. And not cold. The real difference, however, is the service. Practical, yes, but warm, kind, almost familiar. The host has a calm, respectful, and patient manner, and manages to make everything work without unnecessary agitation. In many places these days, they serve you as if you were messing with an algorithm. Overall, a refined, pleasant fusion with its own personality. Scenic without being just a show, concrete where needed, and managed with a humanity that stands out. We'll gladly return.

06/05/2026: So delicious! This is the best pad thai I've had in Europe so far! The chicken rice was also delicious, and the tom yum soup was so good too 🥹🥹🥹 The only regret is that they didn't have padova! I still miss the flavor, damn!

14/06/2026: The food was okay, but the rest was awful. The staff were their own worst enemy – leaning against the bar, directing guests, and generally unfriendly and frustrated. We used to enjoy eating here, but today was a real lesson learned: we won't be going back! Some people are ruining their own restaurants.

03/06/2026: 0 stars!! Very unfriendly staff and terrible food. The pizza was sloppily thrown onto the table without any care, there was hair in the food, and the dishes were dirty. The toilet was also filthy. Absolutely do not go there, I'd rather eat out of the trash.

21/04/2026: A chef who understands and loves his craft, which you can taste and see in every course! Combined with service that anticipates your every need before you even voice it and for whom no question is too much trouble! Thank you for a wonderful evening and all the delightful details! 17/12/2025: 1908 is one of those places that truly stays with you. Dinner kicked off with an actual bite of a lemon leaf from the tree on our table and we immediately understood this won’t be an ordinary dinner. Soulful and savory dishes each centered on a surprise element, from the Alto Adige wagyu to the truly memorable lemon thyme raviolo. The “walk” through Aspinger’s garden for the vegetable dish is pure poetry. Warm service, intimate atmosphere, each course came with its own carefully chosen glass of wine (the Abendrot niedermayr was the one that stayed with me and surprised me the most) An authentic experience, chef Stephan Zippl & team 10/10

11/08/2025: The olive bread, in particular, was truly delicious! We also had the feeling that not everything had been baked that morning; the rolls weren't crispy or airy on the inside.

16/07/2025: A wonderful culinary experience. I tried a slice of Linzer torte and it was delicious, but what really blew me away was the Nussdreiken, a cake I'd never tasted before. I ate it with gusto and was sad to finish it. It's a shortcrust pastry cake with a walnut and almond filling, and topped with flaked almonds. I recommend it. A slice of cake costs €2.30. Also affordable.

26/04/2026: We got two pizzas just before closing time and were even allowed to eat 15 minutes after the store closed... very, very good service.

13/04/2026: Soooo delicious! We had pizza and fries and it was absolutely scrumptious 🙃 There's a great playground next door. There's something for everyone here and it's perfect for a stopover.

20/05/2026: The Kastelatz Keller is run by a brother and sister! We were there this evening and had an excellent venison goulash with wild herb dumplings and a trio of dumplings! Both were perfect, just like Grandma used to make! The older brother cooks and the younger sister serves! She does a fantastic job! She's very friendly and incredibly attentive! All in all, a top-notch restaurant! I hope they keep it up for a long time!

18/05/2026: The menu is concise, but the food is good. The daily special was venison goulash, absolutely fantastic. The young staff is on the ball! And the waitress is a real character, quick-witted and witty 😘 We'll be back.

01/07/2026: We've picked this place as it was close to our hotel. The food was medicore at most and overpriced - If I can make the the same thing better at home for less than a quarter of the price, then you're failing as a restaurant.
