10/01/2026: We stayed 2 nights during the Christmas holidays in a large, welcoming and warm family room. The bathroom was also discreetly renovated. At dinner we ate well and with quality products. At breakfast, sweet and savoury, we lacked nothing. The staff was also helpful and efficient. The wellness centre was a little dated like the hotel but overall good.

02/01/2026: Typical mountain hotel, beautiful atmosphere, large pool that could be used even more, small sauna. The food is excellent! 😋 Ample outdoor parking. The only thing that could be improved is that signs should be placed at the buffet both in the morning and evening; they're very convenient.

07/01/2026: We have stayed at Hotel Pinei for three consecutive years. Our first stay was truly excellent — spotless rooms, great service, and very good food. Unfortunately, the overall experience has declined significantly since then. During our second stay, we had an unpleasant incident in the spa area, where we were aggressively asked to leave a “naked zone.” While we understood that we may have entered the area without knowing the rules, the attitude of the staff member was unnecessarily violent and communicated only in German, which we do not speak. We decided to overlook the incident, but after returning home we realized that an item we had forgotten in the room was never returned — most likely taken by the cleaning staff. This year, we chose to return again mainly because of the hotel’s quiet location and spacious, beautiful rooms, despite the rather rigid attitude at reception. Unfortunately, our experience was worse than ever. Our whole family developed a severe gastroenteritis. At first we thought it might be unrelated to the hotel, but after speaking with several other guests we discovered that many families were in the same situation, sick and stuck in their rooms for days. We reported this to the hotel and were told it was a “seasonal virus,” but they also admitted that some members of the staff were sick — and still working. We even saw ambulances and guests vomiting in front of the hotel. In a property with such a high flow of guests, the first and most basic safety measure should be to send sick staff home, not allow them to handle food, dishes, or clean rooms. To make matters worse, when checking out we discovered that we were charged €2 for every cup of hot water we requested to prepare our own tea while we were ill — water heated from the tap using the coffee machine. Since all three of us were sick, we ended up paying several times for something that should have been a simple act of care and support from the hotel. We understand that incidents can happen in busy tourist seasons, but hygiene and guest safety must come first. Unfortunately, this year’s experience was extremely disappointing, and we can no longer recommend Hotel Pinei.

28/10/2025: Three years ago we tried this place because we didn't know where to go for dinner. During those three years, I dreamed of returning to try their kebab again. The time has finally come, and I'd say the flavor I tasted three years ago hasn't changed. Truly top-notch!!!!

29/11/2025: We ordered the chicken biryani (10/10), the curry edama (9/10), and the Margherita pizza. It was good, but the waiter went ahead and added shawarma, ruining the taste. Overall, it was worth trying and was lovely.

20/12/2025: While the quality and taste of their products are good, the service quality is very poor. Perhaps they are lack of sufficient staff or they are not well-organized. I waited more than 10 minutes for my table to be cleaned and to place my order. I ordered a Sacher torte, and waiter told me it was sold out. Therefore, I changed my order to a chocolate cake. What is most unpleasant was seeing them serving Sacher torte to tables that arrived after mine, just 5-10 minutes later. I couldn't understand the reason for this, but I think it was rude.

25/09/2025: Good food with a wide variety of burgers, including vegan! Friendly staff and fast service. The interior isn't very large, but there's plenty of seating. Outdoor seating is protected from the sun or rain. There's also convenient parking in front.

20/11/2025: Yes, I'd gladly recommend the place. I'm amazed by the culinary offerings at the tennis bar; I'll have to check it out myself sometime. Until then, have fun and enjoy the relaxed atmosphere. I was there briefly today; it's beautifully cozy. I only popped in for a quick look. Mmm, delicious! Burgers were just being served from the kitchen; they look fantastic! Until next time! Today I only checked out the spa park and the playground. You guys are really sporty in the middle... See you soon for a beer! I'm already looking forward to it. I was able to connect with 10,400 people via my recording.

14/10/2025: During my visit from September 14-21, 2025, I had a single room with half board. Three other friends stayed in one of the holiday apartments (3 rooms with shared bathroom and living room). A reasonable price comparable to an Alpine Club hut but considerably more comfortable; A simple but cozy room with a balcony, TV, wardrobe, and shower; A sauna area in the basement with a sauna, steam bath, whirlpool, Kneipp pool, and relaxation area; Half board with breakfast featuring muesli, fruit, bread, cold cuts, and jams; and Dinner usually included a salad buffet, primo (pasta, strudel, etc.), secondo (meat, fish), and dessert, although the latter three were varied and different every day during my week at the Jägerhof; a fairly full Sunday buffet; and one evening of a fantastic cheese tasting with fruit and jams. We were also lucky with the weather during the week: drizzle one day before breakfast, but otherwise, sunshine every day. The surrounding hiking area is relatively quiet, even away from the lifts and ski area above Reinswald. Except for the trails from Reinswald to the Latzfonser Kreuz and the Totenkirchl (and Villanderer), I hardly encountered any other hikers. The trails and ridges of Lorenzen-Schrotthorn-Pfannspitz-Jakobsspitz, Muttnellspitz-Hochscheibe-Schönjöchl-Gentersbergspitze-Leiterspitz, and Pfattenspitz-Getrumspitze were particularly pleasantly secluded. I'd love to come back and hope for good weather.

06/01/2026: A very beautiful and well-kept refuge, with good food and professional staff. But the real difference was made by Fasi, the snowcat driver: polite, professional, and extremely friendly. An added value that makes the experience even more special. Highly recommended!
