01/03/2026: The accommodation is in a beautiful location, and the apartments (S and XL) are well laid out, but they are very noisy. We liked the pizzeria. Unfortunately, the apartments were not clean. The landlady was nice, but unfortunately unreliable. Despite prior arrangements, we had to wait more than two hours upon arrival and were only able to get in touch with her through staff at the valley station. Those seeking peace and quiet might have problems with the noise level in the evenings and at night. Contrary to the stated opening hours, the pizzeria is sometimes open until after midnight, and there are loud parties going on.

01/03/2026: Well-located accommodation with a peculiar landlady – only conditionally recommended The accommodation is in a relatively quiet location in Unsere Frau am Sportzentrum (an ice skating rink in winter). In addition to the XL apartment, we had booked the S apartment for my sister. Unfortunately, our landlady wasn't very keen on guests; not only did she fail to show up for the key handover as agreed (she couldn't be reached by phone and had to be located with the help of some locals), but the apartments weren't very clean and were in a somewhat run-down condition (e.g., loose cupboard doors in the kitchen). Only the bathrooms appeared to be recently renovated. ... Despite the neighboring ice rink, we had restful, quiet evenings (the rink closes at 10:00 PM) – except for the last evening. According to the sign, the pizzeria below the apartments closes at 10:00 PM, but on that Friday, loud music played much later. When we asked our landlady (around 11:30 PM) what time we could go to sleep, she brushed us off, saying she couldn't answer that because her license only allowed her to stay open until 3:00 AM. Luckily, it was our last night there, and we certainly won't be repeating it. (3 stars for location, layout, view, and quiet from Saturday to Thursday.)

30/06/2026: A wonderful surprise for us. Everything was great 👍 👌 Upon arriving in Melag, we immediately felt welcome. This warmth and friendliness, they really do take time for their guests here. Hospitality is paramount here. We would have loved to stay longer. We laughed so much. We truly had a wonderful time here. And the amazing food, how could we ever forget it? For breakfast, there was always the smiling egg. It always consists of two, of course. Many dishes we hadn't tried before, but we enjoyed them. Everything always tasted so delicious. We could have licked the plate clean. Now we also know that "Hugo" can be healthy, if you add a few herbs. We felt that everyone is meant to feel comfortable here, which means, it's clear, that we will be back. This is truly a beautiful place on earth.

22/07/2026: We went last Monday for a relative's birthday. The restaurant looks nice, with a lovely garden and friendly, courteous staff. It's a shame, however, that the dishes didn't meet our expectations at all. The pizzas were expensive, almost all costing around €13, €14, or €15, and they were just average pizzas, like you can get anywhere for much less. The seafood pasta was €22 and was tiny; we would have needed at least two or three portions to fill a normal adult, and it wasn't even that good. The main courses were also incredibly expensive, considering the truly decent quality and tiny portions. Finally, the only good thing about the dinner that really sold us was the dessert... but it's a shame that even that cost as much as a first course elsewhere. In my opinion, this place is best avoided; it's only perfect for those who want to eat badly without spending a lot!

21/07/2026: I've been to Café Gruber twice now. They have Augustiner beer on tap – the Edelstoff is especially great. But they also have various other drinks on offer. The canapés are truly excellent. The inviting atmosphere and friendly service make it a lovely experience.

13/07/2026: It would also be nice as a place, it will be the fourth time I go there and I always forget not to order the beer, the beers themselves are good but they have a decidedly dirty system because it gives the beer an aftertaste of rotten egg, a shame

11/12/2025: A decent, clean hotel with polite and friendly staff. Beautiful panoramic view from the balcony; the single room and shower/toilet were a bit small, but clean and tidy.

26/07/2026: There were four of us for dinner here today. The ambiance isn't very nice, more beige and brown and dated. We ordered a pork knuckle, spaghetti with tomato sauce, a schnitzel with mushrooms, and a salad. The spaghetti arrived first, followed about 10 minutes later by the schnitzel and salad, which came completely without dressing or seasoning. We didn't receive olive oil, salt, and pepper until much later. Unfortunately, a bottle of balsamic vinegar was smeared all over the place, and I didn't see it because of the bottle's color and accidentally dipped in it. The pork knuckle arrived last. Unfortunately, we didn't enjoy most of the food. The pork knuckle was dry; only the fatty parts were still somewhat juicy. The schnitzel was only salvaged by the sauce. The fried potatoes tasted old and bland. The spaghetti was tasty, but there wasn't enough sauce for the mountain of spaghetti, and the plate was too shallow to stir properly. The children's playground desperately needs an overhaul; screws are missing or loose. We won't be coming back. That's a shame, as the view of the city and the mountains must be beautiful.
