01/03/2026: Well-located accommodation with a peculiar landlady – only conditionally recommended The accommodation is in a relatively quiet location in Unsere Frau am Sportzentrum (an ice skating rink in winter). In addition to the XL apartment, we had booked the S apartment for my sister. Unfortunately, our landlady wasn't very keen on guests; not only did she fail to show up for the key handover as agreed (she couldn't be reached by phone and had to be located with the help of some locals), but the apartments weren't very clean and were in a somewhat run-down condition (e.g., loose cupboard doors in the kitchen). Only the bathrooms appeared to be recently renovated. ... Despite the neighboring ice rink, we had restful, quiet evenings (the rink closes at 10:00 PM) – except for the last evening. According to the sign, the pizzeria below the apartments closes at 10:00 PM, but on that Friday, loud music played much later. When we asked our landlady (around 11:30 PM) what time we could go to sleep, she brushed us off, saying she couldn't answer that because her license only allowed her to stay open until 3:00 AM. Luckily, it was our last night there, and we certainly won't be repeating it. (3 stars for location, layout, view, and quiet from Saturday to Thursday.)

01/03/2026: The accommodation is in a beautiful location, and the apartments (S and XL) are well laid out, but they are very noisy. We liked the pizzeria. Unfortunately, the apartments were not clean. The landlady was nice, but unfortunately unreliable. Despite prior arrangements, we had to wait more than two hours upon arrival and were only able to get in touch with her through staff at the valley station. Those seeking peace and quiet might have problems with the noise level in the evenings and at night. Contrary to the stated opening hours, the pizzeria is sometimes open until after midnight, and there are loud parties going on.

02/01/2026: The three resident dogs growled at us during the meal because we didn't share any of the food with them. The food was good, but the service could be improved, as could the music.

24/12/2025: Chalet at the end of the slopes with a good food selection and, all in all, reasonable prices, and friendly and helpful staff.

29/08/2025: The waitress was friendly and recommended a Spritz that was different from the usual, thanks to their creativity. I usually prefer it with Campari, but not this time...

25/06/2025: L’estetica dell’edificio ha fatto molto Discutere. Eravamo curiosi di verificare di persona come fosse stato costruito il nuovo rifugio. Dall’esterno ammetto che non eravamo così convinti di sostare qui. In realtà è stata una piacevole scoperta la maxi terrazza con panorama mozzafiato. L’interno è completamente in legno, personale gentile e disponibile. Prezzi nella media. Porzioni abbondanti e piatti curati ( anche se la scelta è limitata , non fanno praticamente secondi… solo pasta, panini e taglieri). Nel complesso siamo stati bene, sosta consigliata dopo trekking impegnativo/ferrata.

21/10/2025: The Raffl is a nightclub that looks like it's stepped out of the 2000s and landed right in the center of Merano. It's a miracle that's even possible these days, given the number of neighbors. Once you've gotten past the bouncers, who are actually very friendly, you go straight down to the basement and through one of the three rooms until you're on the dance floor. The dance hall is located in a high medieval building. Probably the former torture chamber of the noble burgraves. These days, you're only tortured if you don't like the dance hits of the last 20 years blaring from the speakers. The DJ does his best to push every popular track through the Pioneer, thereby heating up the atmosphere among those present. In these temperatures, a trip to the bar is inevitable, and it's surprising that you don't have to pull your pants down all the way. This is a great way to bridge the time between 12 and the morning hours.

25/11/2025: There's currently a huge construction site right outside, which we weren't informed about beforehand. This significantly impacted the tour, as the noise made it impossible to sit outside despite the beautiful weather. The tour itself was – unfortunately – truly awful. We only learned on-site that a German-language tour, contrary to prior announcements, was not possible at short notice. Afterwards, I spent a considerable amount of time trying to resolve the issue, but to no avail. Poor customer service and overall a disappointing experience. Unfortunately, I cannot recommend it at all!

24/11/2025: We went in for a tasting of five of the winery's wines, and were guided by a young but very knowledgeable and helpful man. The price was excellent, he was happy to answer any questions, even technical ones, and the wines were top-quality. The 14% Chardonnay was one of the best still whites I've ever tasted. A top experience.

23/11/2025: I had an appointment on Saturday at 8:30 PM, but the owners weren't there when I arrived. The front desk told me they don't schedule appointments at that time, and they didn't even seem to remember my meeting. I spent time and money showing up, and I should have received an explanation today, but it hasn't arrived. I await your response so I can update my review appropriately.

22/11/2025: A very nice experience. The rooms, spa, the entire resort, and the food were all top-notch. The spa massages could be improved, but all in all, a very enjoyable holiday.

29/12/2025: Sunny cabin with stunning panoramic views. A small parking area above provides access to the ski slopes. Cozy interior. Friendly service.

04/01/2026: We went to Brixen specifically to stay at this hotel, and to dine in its Michelin starred restaurant. While we were not overall disappointed, we would have expected a little bit better. This historic establishment has a marvelous location and the building itself is quite like a museum when it comes to history, arts and furnishing. We stayed in the main building, in standard rooms. The rooms are clean, but really basic. The bathrooms were very small and showed some wear and tear. Very few amenities (no shampoo, nor conditioner, just shower gel and body lotion). The Spa is well advertised on their website and I was expecting something a bit better. The sauna was small, with little information about the "dress code" (some people were nude, others weren't), the wet sauna was turned off. I was told there is water available, and I am sure there is, but I couldn't find it. Most spas also offer herbal teas, which was not the case here. The pool area with loungers is nice. The pool is lightly heated. I disliked the fitness room. It is extremely small. I gather it might have been a cellar as the ceilings are very low and vaulted - which doesn't make it for it being airy enough to feel confortable. There is only a tredmill, a bike, a bench and a few dumbells. Regardless: you wouldn't want to exercise heavily in that space. No water in the fitness room - no towels either. The best part of the experience is the breakfast buffet and the overall service. Breakfst offers a bounty of options - both sweet and savory- of outstanding quality. Service is impeccable. I think you pay for the history, the location and the (past) reputation of the establishment. I have been in 4 stars (this is a 4 stars + according to their ad) that provided a more comfortable stay, better facilities for a lower price. I understand that might not be the case in Brixen, but some standards should be quite universal. That being said, I don't regret going there.

20/12/2025: ​The communication here is extremely poor. They respond instantly to inquiries that benefit them, but completely ignore messages regarding issues or refund requests. I was told they were too busy with emails to reply to my urgent request, yet they replied within minutes only after I mentioned leaving a review. Highly unprofessional and unreliable service.
