21/12/2025: This is a truly wonderful family hotel, with very nice and very clean rooms, beautiful wooden furniture, and extremely friendly owners. It is located in the center of the town, and in the basement there is a lovely small spa. We will definitely return to this wonderful hotel. Robert

11/04/2026: We booked this hotel through Secret Escapes and later realised it was 2.5hrs away from Innsbrook Airport!! However, we can guarantee you that this was DEFINITELY worth the drive. We hired a car and not only did we see some amazing views on the way, we also used the car to discover the surrounding areas. Once we arrived at the hotel, we were warmly welcomed with a hot drink and complementary afternoon tea and home made cakes. Our suite was very traditional, spacious and included a jaccuzi bath (which we used daily). The food was amazing - We loved the fact that we were allocated our own dedicated dining room table for the entire duration of our stay. The restaurant staff were great and the food amazing (a la carte silver service and buffet in the evening, buffet for breakfast and daily afternoon tea and home made cakes and fruit). You will definitely not go hungry!! The service was also impeccable. On our second day we received a satisfaction questionnaire. We filled it in (thinking nobody would read it)!! We expressed our thanks at the amazing service and attention to detail and mentioned that the only thing missing was bottled water next to the bed and a kettle for making tea (since the coffee machine wasnt appropriate for tea). 15 minutes later, there was a knock on our door, and a member of the team delivered a kettle, cups and water!! Never seen such attention to detail and actual interest in customer satisfaction. We also had daily personalised messages in the restaurant and in our rooms. The spa looked amazing (but unfortunately we didnt get to use it). If you like 5 star service and need to relax - this is the place to go. We loved it!

20/07/2026: Excellent experience. We went in and honestly didn't have high expectations, but we quickly changed our minds. The atmosphere was homey and very pleasant. Excellent value for money. We had goulash and their signature schnitzel, plus dessert. They included two salads and bread in the cover charge. Everything was perfect!

01/06/2026: The restaurant offers traditional cuisine in the center of Ortisei. The interior is beautiful, and the menu is very tasty, but I found the service rushed and inattentive.

14/02/2026: After a fantastic week in Steinhaus, and especially at the Steinhauswirt Hotel, we're on our way home and have to get used to the fact that we haven't booked a complete pampering package this time. Starting with the balanced breakfast was the perfect foundation for a day of skiing, which begins just a few minutes' walk from the hotel, right next to the gondola. After returning to the slopes, you can relax in the comfortable rooms before the excellent dinner is served. Alternatively, you can also spend some time in the bar. Throughout the entire stay, you can rely on Barbara to ensure that all your needs are met. We felt very comfortable and definitely recommend the Hotel Steinhauswirt.

12/02/2026: We stayed at the Steinhauswirt for seven days. From the moment we arrived, we felt right at home. The hotel offers everything you could need: underground parking and a parking space, quiet, clean rooms that are regularly cleaned, and a sauna. It's less than a three-minute walk to the valley station of the Klausberg Ski World. A ski storage room is available. The half-board option is highly recommended. Each of the four courses is prepared with care and tastes fantastic. Barbara anticipates your every need. The breakfast buffet offers everything you could want, and the coffee from the espresso machine is superb. The value for money is outstanding. Incidentally, buses to Bruneck stop at the hotel, making it easy to explore the surrounding region. We'll be back just for the food.

02/06/2026: Manuel Hofer's restaurant combines regional specialties with modern fusion elements, consistently creating new culinary experiences. From the amuse-bouche to dessert, everything is freshly prepared in-house. The food is of exceptional quality, and individual requests were always accommodated. The ambiance is very modern, with stunning views of the surrounding mountains and meadows. Definitely worth a visit!

23/07/2026: A fantastic bar for gin and tonics. Excellent service, great presentation, and truly fair prices. The owner loves his job, and we were even given a sample of his own spirit. An absolute must-visit in Lana.

08/02/2026: The trip to and from the 2026 Olympic mixed biathlon event was very poorly organized. The outbound journey took two hours, the return three hours, through mud and at night, in overcrowded buses with people collapsing from exhaustion. The buses were not given priority, and the Carabinieri were outnumbered and overwhelmed.

04/05/2026: We spent 5 days in Lajen and ate here twice in the evenings. I really have to think hard to remember the last time I ate so well and experienced such great service and incredibly friendly staff – it was truly special and something we (5 adults + dog) will remember for a long time. Thanks again!
