Mega atmospheric place with cool music.

Nice surprise! We were discouraged after some dinners in other places in Ortisei and instead we left happy. Good platter, Goulash soup much appreciated by everyone. Correct prices. The owner and the waiter are friendly and helpful.

The Restaurant zur Traube is truly a hidden treasure in Ortisei. The rustic and charming ambience gives the restaurant a special flair. The emphasis on freshly prepared local dishes here is no empty promise – the quality speaks for itself. The fact that it may take a little longer to prepare is more than understandable given the freshness of the ingredients. The American owner's passion and dedication to local cuisine and the region is particularly commendable. Anyone who is interested in authentic local cuisine and has had enough of tourist pizzas will find the Restaurant zur Traube a perfect place to relax and enjoy.

I sometimes wonder when people leave negative reviews, are they having bad days or ? First the entire inside is beyond charming the decor the plating the table wear. There was beautiful blues music playing at just the right volume. The staff; our waitress, amazing woman… explained the menu, explained why there are only select items as they serve fresh in house made meals only so already a massive plus. The quality of the dishes were phenomenal we had a charcuterie platter, spinach ravioli and our mains. They were kind enough to gift us extra focaccia bread without even asking, and prior to paying our bill gave us a thank you liquor as well. Would absolutely recommend this place if you are in Ortisei or close to it
