30/08/2024: Great old-style decor, beautiful outdoor seating under the arches with a fig tree. Food so delicious and service very friendly and efficient. Only negative is very expensive for the portion size.

14/07/2024: Durante il giro panoramico del lago di Braies abbiamo seguito le indicazioni per questa malga a circa 15 minuti di camminata dal lago. La nostra esperienza è stata in parte rovinata dalla pioggia che ha infreddolito noi e reso più complesso il servizio da parte del personale, che comunque si è rivelato efficiente e preparato. Abbiamo mangiato canederli, polenta e salsiccia e strudel di mele. Cibo buono ma forse mi ero fatto troppe aspettative. Conto onesto.

08/07/2024: Posto favoloso immerso nella natura, noi siamo arrivati a piedi (circa 20 minuti dal lago di Braies). Si mangia molto bene, perfetto per una pausa pranzo post camminata!

16/07/2024: Vacation with friends, this feeling was passed on to us by the family. The rooms are a bit old, but everything is absolutely fine. 15min walk from the noisy city center. Bus and train station 10 minutes walk. The village pub is downstairs in the house, but that doesn't bother us at all; on the contrary, we met great people and had lovely conversations. We had a great time here! Everyone was always helpful & friendly. We would like to come again! Thank you!!

12/08/2024: Ottima malga consigliato per i piatti della tradizione che propongono. Hanno una scelta buona tra i vari piatti. Le portate sono molto ricche e gustose. Conviene prenotare in anticipo. Essendo in estate e essendoci tanta gente i tempi di attesa sono in po' lunghi, ma nulla di frustrante. Personale molto cordiale e disponibile. Rapporto qualità/prezzo molto buono.

12/08/2024: Siamo arrivati a Malga Costa dopo una piacevole passeggiata dal passo Lavazè con la nostra bimba di un anno. Il posto è incantevole, con una magnifica vista sulle montagne e circondata da prati, c'è anche un' area giochi per i bimbi. Era tutto pieno e non avevamo prenotato ma le ragazze sono state così gentili da trovarci un tavolo. Abbiamo preso i canederli in brodo e il goulash con polenta. Tutto buonissimo e abbondante. Una birra e un Alpex hugo analcolico. Per finire una porzione gigante di strudel che era super buono. Abbiamo speso 42 euro. Veramente eccezionale. Andateci.

20/07/2024: Nous avons déjeuné au restaurant après une balade au lac de Braies. Les plats sont délicieux : cuisson parfaite de la viande, goûts francs et assaisonnements justes. Le service est rapide et le personnel très agréable ! Nous avions bénéficié d'une réduction (voucher) avec le droit d'entrée au lac de Braies. Le restaurant est un incontournable !

23/02/2024: Stayed here for 2 nights whilst on a ski safari. Rooms were very clean and spacious but basic. Location is fantastic as you are halfway up the slope, and in the evening have a ring side seat watching the piste bashers. Evening meal is a set menu with no choice (unless you are allergic). They make a fuss about starting the service at 7pm, but as are not choosing any of the courses I'm not sure why. Pasta was not homemade (as it had been in all the previous refugios, hotels we stayed at) but came straight out of a packet, and the main course came on large platters which needed to be passed round. Main issue was the fact that I was due to change rooms after the first night and whilst I was at breakfast the staff moved all of my personal items. Thankfully these had already been packed, as I intended to move everything after breakfast.

31/08/2024: Nice hotel located in the middle of Auer, the rooms facing the courtyard are very quiet. The breakfast buffet is excellent, everything is organic and very freshly prepared. The restaurant meets this standard, everything is fresh and excellently prepared. The employees are very friendly and accommodating.

07/07/2024: If I could give no stars I would. A friend of mine and I went to this bar to have a drink and then eat. The behavior of one waitress was very unpleasant. Browsing the menu we decided not to eat anything but only drink. (if we didn't eat anything we had to finish what we ordered) the waitress came to us and put the "reserved" card on our table when we were there and were finishing what we ordered. Afterwards after a discussion he said that we can also stay (there was no point in telling us this after having said that this table is reserved, he could have told us before, even if it wasn't even true) in short he wanted us to leave even if we ordered and paid regularly. In my opinion, such an attitude is incorrect and inappropriate.

10/08/2024: We had dinner with friends, the food was normal and the service treated us with arrogance. I wouldn't go back since I've been going to Naturno for many years.

25/07/2024: Were only there to eat. We ordered, among other things, a sausage salad. The vinegar provided by the waitress could have been saved. The sausage salad was already soaked in vinegar. After a few bites we left it. When the waitress (Queen) was asked about it, she replied as follows: The chef would season it like that... Well, we enjoyed our meal somewhere else afterwards. The manager of the house, on the other hand, was pleasant in service.

20/07/2024: Amazing pizza and pasta. We went there for dinner and returned on the next day. The service os fast amd efficient. Great value for money.

02/07/2024: Zu Beginn ein unerwartetes Erlebnis: Ich bestelle, wie gewohnt, eine Suppe und ein Hauptgericht. Die freundliche Bedienung rät mir ab (!) mit dem Argument, ich würde das wahrscheinlich nicht bewältigen. Ich schaue ziemlich ungläubig, lasse mich jedoch überreden, die Suppe in einer ausnahmsweise kleineren Version zu ordern. Während ich noch auf das Essen warte, sehe ich, wie fast im Minutentakt -- Biergarten und Restaurant sind nicht zuletzt wegen einer Fußballübertragung trotz eines sehr großen Platzangebots rappelvoll -- zahlreiche verschiedene Gerichte aus der Küche getragen werden: Die Pizzen sind so riesig, daß sie auf keinen Teller passen, die Fleischgerichte gleichermaßen großdimensioniert, die Suppen in einem schüsselähnlichen Behältnis mit dem Fassungsvermögen einer Terrine, und dies alles bei vernünftig moderaten Preisen. Trotz des Hochbetriebs muß niemand lange warten, es gibt ausreichend Personal und auch die Küche hat offenbar mit dem Andrang kein Problem. Meine Leberknödelsuppe war auch in der kleineren Version noch recht groß -- die Brühe schön kräftig und wohlschmeckend. Der Leberknödel allerdings schien zu 95 Prozent Knödel zu sein, von Leber spürte man fast nichts. Mein Hauptgericht -- sogenanntes "Herrengeröstl" -- entpuppte sich als eine sehr große Tellerportion hervorragend zarten, mageren Rindfleischs mit einer schmackhaften Sauce. Die Bratkartoffeln dazu waren von normaler Küchenqualität; der dazugehörige, zuvor gereichte gemischte Salat frisch und ebenfalls reichhaltig. Daß einige wenige Bratkartoffeln schwarzverbrannt waren und deshalb von mir aussortiert wurden, fiel angesichts der schieren Menge nicht ins Gewicht. Bis hierher würde ich die Küchenleistung als "solide" bezeichnen. Ganz anders tags darauf bei einem nochmaligen Besuch: Wieder waren Biergarten und Restaurant nahezu ausgebucht, so daß ein weiterer zusätzlicher Raum geöffnet werden mußte. Diesmal nahm ich die reguläre Suppenportion -- Nudelsuppe mit einer großen Menge zarten Rindfleischs --, danach eine Lasagne bolognese frisch aus dem Rohr, und das war von derart delikater Perfektion, daß ich fast neidisch wurde, weil man in Deutschlands italienischen Restaurants eine solche Qualität niemals bekommt. Fazit: Hier immer wieder gern, aber einen gehörigen Appetit sollte man mitbringen, sonst bleibt die Hälfte auf dem Teller.

30/07/2024: The place is very large with seating inside and outside. On hot days it lacks some ventilation if you sit in the inside room. The menu offers wide possibilities: from traditional dishes to pizza, from exotic proposals to dishes for vegetarians. The premises are very clean and the staff very courteous. The dishes are very carefully prepared and the ingredients are certainly fresh, the portions certainly generous. Prices are in line with the area and in any case average. Definitely recommended.

27/07/2024: Siamo tornati al Grissino dopo alcuni anni, impressione complessiva sempre positiva. La vicinanza all'Acquarena è un valore aggiunto. Buona scelta di piatti, pizze o cucina orientale, servizio corretto. Unico neo: almeno la sera della nostra cena non c'erano dolci/dessert disponibili nel menù perché, ci ha spiegato il cameriere, "manca il pasticcere", il che per un ristorante non è una piccola lacuna.

23/03/2024: Unfortunately, instead of good pizza in the winter garden, there is now only convenience food to pick up yourself, which is a shame. But if the larger chicken wings are still cold inside and the salad is partly rotten, it's better to bring something yourself or not eat anything at all. Appropriately, the complaint was acknowledged with a shrug of the shoulders and a “sorry”.

27/12/2023: Oggi abbiamo passato la giornata in piscina (bellissima e consigliatissima) come da abitudine da oltre 20 anni! Eravamo in 11 persone (9 bambini e 2 adulti) e come sempre, avendo organizzato per pranzo i panini, siamo andati a mangiare nell' unica parte in cui è concesso mangiare (vedi indicazioni nella foto). Mentre stavamo preparando i panini un cameriere (che ovviamente non ha nessuna colpa) ci ha detto che i tavoli erano riservati dalle 11.30 alle 14.30 per chi consumava al ristorante. Ho fatto notare (senza fare polemica) che non avevamo quindi alternative su dove fare mangiare i nostri bambini visto che in piscina è vietato e le indicazioni della piscina ci hanno detto che avremmo dovuto mangiare lì. La risposta è stata "mangiare in piscina senza farvi vedere". Così abbiamo fatto, ma l' organizzazione del ristorante è stata davvero pessima. Finito il pranzo ho chiesto ad un superiore il perché di questa scelta e mi hanno solo detto che era stato deciso così. Senza parole. Spero che la situazione migliori.
