17/05/2025: Sono un grande fan della Pasticceria Hacker a Bolzano, ma devo dire che l'ultima volta sono rimasto un po' deluso. Le brioches, che di solito sono fantastiche, questa volta non erano friabili come al solito e le ricordavo molto più buone. Spero sia solo un episodio isolato, perché mi piacerebbe tornare e ritrovare la qualità di sempre!

30/12/2024: Ho cercato questa pasticceria perché le valutazioni sono buone, volevamo fare colazione, purtroppo i tavoli sono solo esterni , anche la pasticceria sinceramente non mi ha ispirato quindi abbiamo rinunciato alla colazione, ma abbiamo acquistato dei meravigliosi cioccolatini di loro produzione.

24/07/2025: We requested an aperitif with a platter of cured meats and cheeses... chips and peanuts weren't included with the spritz and beer... so while we were waiting for pizza, we opted for this option... the service was initially quick... when it came time for pizza, even though there were few people inside and outside, we waited a bit too long... To clarify, it's not a pizza, it's a pinsa... or else they used whole wheat flour without warning... But the toppings were inedible... after the second bite, I felt nauseous... nothing should be thrown away, we ate, paid, and left... I recommend mosquito nets because there were more flies inside the restaurant than at the outdoor tables.

20/07/2025: A hotel from another era, impeccable service, spotlessly clean, fantastic shower. The owner's kindness (like someone straight out of a Brothers Grimm tale) is embarrassing, and he manages to make you feel at home.

06/08/2025: We stayed twice during our vacation and had a wonderful time. The outdoor area is truly spectacular, with a view of the mountains and Castel Pietra. The lady at reception was incredibly kind; she let us store our bags there while we were at the pool before we left to head home.

23/07/2025: What friendly service! The sushi is fresh and well-prepared, and served quickly. We don't usually go to sushi restaurants abroad because you never know what the quality will be like. But I would definitely recommend this restaurant!

13/07/2025: I was very disappointed with my visit. Although there were seats available outside and no one was sitting there, we were told we weren't allowed to order or eat outside. We weren't given a comprehensible explanation for this. Unfortunately, I wondered if our skin color was perhaps a reason for this treatment. I sincerely hope that wasn't the case—but the experience was still unpleasant and left a bitter aftertaste. All guests should be treated equally, regardless of their origin or appearance. I hope that more emphasis will be placed on fairness and respectful treatment here in the future.

07/07/2025: We asked our three boys: "Did Max meet your expectations for pizza in South Tyrol?" The answer was unanimous: "It was even better than expected." Here, you'll be greeted warmly and friendly in the best South Tyrolean dialect, your dog will immediately be given water, and if you're undecided about the wide selection of pizzas, you'll immediately receive good advice. When the giant pizza wheels arrive, the first thing you'll notice is the aroma. With the first slice, you'll delight in the texture of the excellent dough with its crispy crust. From the first to the last bite, the excellent ingredients are convincing. Whether chanterelles or cheese, arugula or beef ham, burrata or pepperoni salami, here, pizza-making is a celebration. THANK YOU! We'll be happy to come back. And when you come back, this time with two dogs and in the rain, you'll be warmly welcomed outside. Arrangements are made so that, even without a reservation, you can get a quiet table for five people and two four-legged friends after a short wait. The pizza selection is no less overwhelming than on your first visit...and this time, too, it impresses with its aroma, taste, consistency, and size. And the price is also impressive, because if you can't manage to spend €120 with five people and then buy pizza and sweets for the next day, then you're obviously eating well. The best thing about Max, however, is that the experience of simply eating here makes you HAPPY. Here, excellent food is prepared for guests with joy, body, and soul, and the chef acts quickly and with foresight to ensure harmony in his restaurant. THANK YOU!

20/02/2025: We went to the restaurant. Careful and quality cuisine with a wide choice, at a price comparable to the refuges, a nice discovery. The manager was very friendly and talkative. In my opinion it is worth a visit

09/02/2025: Complete tourist complex (3 star hotel and restaurant) very well managed on a family level. Mr. Franco and Mrs. Marina (excellent chef and daughter of Mrs. Alba Di Pillo, from San Candido, inventor of tiramisu) welcome guests very warmly, putting them at ease. The hotel structure, located a few minutes walk from the town center, compensates for the distance with exceptional services and quality cleanliness. Despite the nearby presence of the Pusteria state road 49 and the train station, rooms are well isolated from external noise. Very comfortable business stay.

25/07/2025: Would not recommend. Food seemed reheated and not freshly prepared. There was hair in our food. Bathrooms were dirty and not functioning

08/08/2025: Summer vacation 2025, we were guests twice during our week-long vacation. Thank you for the excellent service. Please keep it up. You have the best cakes around, and the ice cream is super delicious 😋

31/07/2025: The place is beautiful, as is the walk to get there, but the staff is incredibly slow (we waited 40 minutes for a hot dog), and the food is sparse and expensive. The house dish is canederli (decent), but don't expect polenta as you'll find rice instead. Exactly the opposite of what you'd expect from a mountain refuge. Absolutely not recommended. The walk to get there, however, is very beautiful, suitable for everyone, and relaxing at times, but bring a sandwich.

09/07/2025: I recommend this restaurant for coffee and Italian tiramisu. The atmosphere is nice and the place is very upscale.

28/06/2025: We have got a steak which was served with boiled veg and not grilled how the menu said. Considering we are in italy boiled veg are the worst to be served in a restaurant. Staff very not experienced and not friendly at all. For a small complain the Waitress answered rude with no reason. I guess not capacity of dealing with Costumer and busy place. Price very Hight for the service and the food not worth at all

17/07/2025: sehr interessante, ausgewogene und geschmacksintensive Spesen welche nicht dem normalen Angebot der Südtiroler Gastronomie folgen. Lage optimal auch bei heißen Sommerabenden.

14/07/2025: The place is beautiful and quirky, amazing location right by the river. It’s romantic and we found the service to be very attentive and quick. The food however was A) too imaginative (cherries with pasta, pineapple with chilly) and B) way too expensive for the quality and amount. It would be the perfect place, if they simply focused on good and simple dishes.

01/08/2025: We stopped at this restaurant on our way back from a hike, and even though we were a little late, they still served us. The staff is very friendly, as everyone in San Vigilio is, and the food is plentiful and very good. The prices aren't cheap, but that's also a fairly common thing (a first course, beer, and coffee cost €30). Regardless, we definitely recommend it.
