05/10/2025: This review only applies to the restaurant! We received a warm welcome and enjoyed delicious, regional food. It's in a fantastic location high above Appiano and Bolzano, with views of the Dolomites. The farm has been family-owned for over 200 years.

08/09/2025: In our opinion, this is the most beautiful and cozy hut in the Latemar, with a wonderful view of the mountains near and far. The Kaiserschmarn (sweet pancake) is highly recommended! I wanted to visit the hut a second time and had ignored all the others. Unfortunately, the opening hours on Google don't match – it was closed on Mondays. Hence, one star less.

07/09/2025: A cozy hut with a loving host family, already in the next generation. Not as crowded as Oberholz or Mayerl Alm. We felt very comfortable and were lucky, as today is the last day for now until the ski season starts on December 4th. We'd love to come back next year!

28/10/2025: Good food, friendly service, cozy atmosphere.

18/10/2025: We stayed here for one night while passing through. The staff's dedication and friendliness are particularly noteworthy. The room we booked in the "old" category was perfectly fine, clean, and spacious. The home-brewed beers are highly recommended. The restaurant's menu seems to be a mixed bag; it's a somewhat wild mix of Asian and traditional dishes, with no clear direction. It would be nice to be able to walk to the next town, for example, or just take a stroll. Unfortunately, the busy country road puts a damper on that.

05/10/2025: Simply the best! Delicious pizza, said by someone who's tried pizzas all over the peninsula, including, of course, in the shadow of Vesuvius. Needless to say, we're talking about a magnificent Neapolitan pizza made with top-notch dough and top-quality ingredients.

04/11/2025: A very nice restaurant with excellent service and the food is more than wonderful.

01/11/2025: The food portions are very small, but very tasty; it was enough for us. However, it wouldn't be enough for someone who's been hiking all day. Breakfast is excellent, with everything you could possibly want. The rooms are nicely furnished, the bathroom could use a renovation, and the regulars' table looks like it's from the 80s, but it's clean. You have to get used to the beds, as they have a board instead of a slatted frame.

15/10/2025: Very friendly staff, nice large room with a great balcony, considerable traffic noise with the window open (facing the street).

16/09/2025: We'll be repeat visitors ;-) Great hotel with very friendly staff! The garden-facing room is really quiet and has a lovely view of the pool and the mountains. We took advantage of the late breakfast until 11 a.m. several times (highly recommended)! From the hotel, you can start directly onto the Waalwege (Waal paths) – some of them with lovely wine taverns. The hotel's restaurants (Italian and South Tyrolean cuisine) are also highly recommended. From our point of view, there really was nothing to complain about – we'll most likely return!

12/09/2025: We came here on our last night of vacation to try the pizzas that had been recommended to us. They hadn't overpromised us! Huge, well-topped, flavorful, and the crust wafer-thin, just the way we like it. The house wine was a perfect complement.

08/08/2025: An insider tip: "Delicatessen" is a complete understatement. Call ahead (or don't), take a seat, and let yourself be enchanted. A variety of the finest bacon and ham, cheese (homemade in the bunker 😉), a glass of wine, and let the expert/producer Toni explain the differences. This is stylish and has a magical quality. Whether during the day or early enough before the shop closes, you feel welcome here. Thank you for the lovely evening. Mille grazie e arrivederci, we'll be back again.

07/07/2025: What a great place for meat and cheese platters. All homemade and top quality and/or organic. You can hardly get this anywhere anymore. Made with love by Toni. Great wines and fantastic hospitality. A big 10.

19/10/2025: We had the best dinner in Selva here. The food was really great. The pizza was baked perfectly, the tagiatelle ragu was great, the tiramisu was also tasty. The waiters were very helpful and kind. Definitely will come back whenever we visit Dolomites again.
