15/05/2026: I didn't visit the accommodations, only the view from the location. Sensational. The accommodations were closed in May when I visited.
06/04/2026: There are many beautiful places in the world, but for over 40 years, Chalet Gerard has been my absolute dream destination!!! 😍 It's always like "coming home"—everything is just perfect here! A quick stop for some strudel is a must, and staying overnight in the beautiful rooms with delicious food is simply divine! 16/07/2026: Everything was delicious. One steak was too tough, but the server immediately offered to cook it again. That was nice, but we would have preferred if the right cut of meat had been used from the start.

23/07/2026: A very pleasant place, also a relaxation area with comfortable loungers in the sun. I had a creamy ginger vegetable soup accompanied by typical local fritters, like little pies with a delicious spinach filling. The creamy soup was also delicious. Everything was very well prepared, even the pork tenderloin was excellent, accompanied by small spinach and potato flans. My husband had the pan-fried beef and pork with sauerkraut, which I also tried, and it was tender and flavorful. The goulash with dumplings was also very tender and tasty. In short, everything was perfect, finishing with tiramisu with local strawberries. I would call this lunch an absolutely must-try experience. Highly recommended in every way 🥰

Definitely worth a visit.
12/07/2026: The restaurant is located on the Marlinger Höhenweg hiking trail, so we stopped here for a break. The menu offers several vegetarian options (homemade pasta). The food was very good and the service was very friendly. We'll gladly come back if we're ever in the area again.

21/05/2026: Great atmosphere and incredibly delicious food! We had pasta and gnocchi and couldn't agree which tasted better. Simply fabulous. Both dishes had very subtle flavor nuances. The service was excellent.
There was sometimes a queue outside, but they were usually able to find us a table quickly. If you arrive early, you'll be in luck. If you're planning a later meal (6:30 pm and after), a reservation will help you avoid the wait.
We'll definitely be back for another meal! 👌

29/07/2026: The atmosphere is nice and there are a lot of menu items.
But maybe because I went too late, there wasn't anything I wanted to eat, so I ordered the bean pasta... but it really didn't suit my taste.
I should have ordered something else. I should have come earlier. It's a shame. I can't believe I ended up eating this.
I'm going to try something different next time.
25/07/2026: All in all, a nice little trattoria with traditional dishes and a selection of antipasti. The price-performance ratio and quality are excellent. It's not a 5-star restaurant, but rather traditional cuisine – simply delicious! Some dishes are quite unusual. We'll be back.

The staff were very friendly, even when we made a reservation over the phone. Very nice location. The menu was quite limited, and the wine list was almost nonexistent. However, the dishes offered were top-notch.
The waiters were a bit slow.

12/08/2026: The climb is strenuous, but worth it. I've rarely eaten so well at an alpine pasture. Very friendly service. Definitely include it in your tour plans.
