19/02/2026: The "true summit" of the Stelvio Pass, a few precious meters away from the hustle and bustle of the main pass road. This short detour is rewarded with relative peace and an unbeatable view of the famous serpentine road on the northern side. Practically the perfect spot for a break before heading down into the valley.

05/06/2026: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐A place to arrive and feel at home: for years, the Schlaneiderhof has delighted us with its warm service, breathtaking views, beautiful surroundings, excellent food, great wines – and great attention to allergy sufferers (100% reliable!). Always something very special for us!
30/05/2026: We were pampered for a week at the Schlaneiderhof.
Breakfast and dinner were superb, and gluten-free options were available.
Large room with a corner balcony.
The view was magnificent. The Adige Valley panorama was breathtaking.
From Schlaneid, you can hike directly from the hotel or take the bus that stops right at the guesthouse to the trailheads.
There's a large parking lot right at the guesthouse.
Also ideal for motorcyclists.
Underground parking and a bistro counter in the evenings.
All the staff were very friendly.

25/03/2026: A perfect mountain hut for a break. Excellent food. For a hot drink, I recommend the hot milk with egg liqueur "Zavbov" (some call it "hot grandfather" or "hot grandmother"). Exceptional. It'll put you back on track.

04/04/2026: It's a good place if you want fast food; they practically only serve sandwiches and hamburgers. They're very good and have a wide variety of sandwiches. The only thing that bothered me, but it's just a personal preference, was the music, especially the volume. Inside, the place is clean and very nice.

When asked, the waiters couldn't explain the dishes. The service was also very unprofessional. This is a real pity, because the food tasted fantastic. The service staff should have shown more appreciation for this. The ambiance was beautiful!

12/05/2026: Schlanders is a picturesque village in the Val Venosta; we started with a walk and then, on the recommendation of our landlady, went to the Goldene Rose restaurant for lunch. Even as hikers with dogs (in our case, two dogs), we received a very warm welcome and were shown to a quiet table in one of the large dining rooms. For simplicity's sake, we opted for the daily special, and we didn't regret our choice: we've never eaten such good spare ribs. Although already quite full from the generous main course, I couldn't resist the panna cotta for dessert. We will definitely go there again!

12/03/2026: One of if not the best restaurant I've been in, I ordered veal Milanese(wienersnitchzel) it was absolutely spectacular the meat was peak quality basically all the materials were great including water. The atmosphere was also awesome, the views were so nice and the most surprising is that the prices are not that expensive, you would pay the same price at other places but it wouldn't come close to the quality of this place

11/05/2026: On the positive side, the food quality was good. However, the portions were rather small considering the high price. We had to wait a very long time at the beginning before our order was taken. In our opinion, it's more of a place for Merano's fashionable crowd. If that's your thing, then this is the place for you.
