Good food, just passable service, the waiter with wings tattooed on his neck asked if he needed to change the cutlery from the first course that we had placed in the center of the plate to be changed. The place is of a certain class, the price is fair.

Some friends of mine who live nearby highly recommended this place, so one evening after we climbed the Tre Cime, we headed here to try it. We had ham soup, not bad, tagliatelle with venison ragù, very good, and finally apple fritters, which were also really good. It's a very cute, rustic place, and reasonably priced.

We dined on a Saturday evening without a reservation and were lucky to find a table around 7:30 PM. The owner welcomed us very kindly, as did all the young waiters. We had pasta and beans, a cream of mushroom soup with potatoes, and delicious dumplings in broth. I must say that the rosticciata we ordered for our second course wasn't what we expected... It was different from the usual, dark, and with only a few potatoes... But we enjoyed it anyway. The Kaiserschmarren, or emperor's omelette, was very good. In total, we spent 153 euros.

Lunch in San Candido, a lovely place, wonderful staff and owner. Very good meat and soups, amazing desserts (apple fritters, a classic but excellent).
Super friendly waitress (...be careful with some characters, you need to be zen, or perhaps, as you say, drink a lot of grappa, hahaha).

Nice place, although the organization at the entrance leaves a bit to be desired.
The fact that you have to go in to reserve a table creates a lot of confusion: just one person outside to take orders and give customers a time would solve the problem.
Once inside, there was a bit of a wait, but given how busy it is, that's understandable. The food is very good, and the prices are in line with the area.
The only downside is the bread charge. If there's a cover charge, charging a basket of bread (€3) separately is quite jarring. It's not a question of money (three euros is the price of a bottle of water), it's a matter of principle: I doubt the rest of the menu doesn't already have a decent margin.
For a first course and dessert, we spent about €25 each. Overall, a good experience, but with a few details that need fixing.
